While Kyoshin advanced Buddhism to the farmers, he also labored in engineering works and he constructed ponds in the Inamino Plateau.
Umayaga Pond which is the east of Noguchi Agricultural Cooperative Association is said to be the one of these ponds.
Umayaga Pond was more than 12ha. originally.
But, now due to residential land development, it has decreased largely.
Kyoshin was respected by many people and his name was widely known.
Many anecdotes about him are left behind.
In Konjaku Monogatarii, there are stories about him.
(対訳) 教信 祈りに生きた僧（３）
教信は農民に「祈り」を説く一方、土木事業にも力を注ぎ、印南野台地に池を築きました。
野口農協（加古川市野口町）の東の駅ヶ池（うまやがいけ）は、これらの池の一つであるといわれています。
駅ヶ池はもともと12ヘクタールもある大きな池でした。
しかし、現在、宅地開発のため大きく減少しました。
教信は、多くの人に尊敬され、彼の名前は広く知られていた。
彼については多くの逸話があります。
(下手な英訳はこの辺でやめておきます。次号では、教信の伝承（逸話）について紹介します)
