ディズニーLの真実 homeless並み!?

カリフォルニア州OrangeCountyといえば、affluenceとtourist industryで華やかな印象ばかり。ところが、そこのDisneylandで働く人々はstruggle to make both ends meetだという＝1日NT･8面。

・4年後、州のminimum wage は15㌦になるというのに、Disneylandの若者たちは10～11㌦くらい。公園に車を止めて夜を過ごし、朝はスタバで身づくろいする。そんな光景に誰もきらびやかなDisneylandで働いている、とは思うまい。写真は ↓↓

転職したくても、college degreeがなくて、収入が上がるようにはならないという。

・会社側は、こうしたデータをpolitically motivatedと一蹴、4000ものjobを増やしcountyで最高だ、と。most earn additional income through premiums and overworkだから悪いばかりじゃない、という言い分。

・共働きする夫婦は子供が欲しいけど、と。→→ Every　time we get to the end of the month、I have to choose what bills to pay.

　We want kids、but there's no way we're going to do that when we can barely afford to feed ourselves.

自分たちが食うのに四苦八苦している有り様。-子供なんて、とてもとても。






・ 待遇が悪いのに、なぜ働き続けるか。

小さいころのmemoriesがあるのと、reluctance to lose perks of free ticket 。
