SAT , ACT といえば、日本ならセンター試験に
あたろうか。University of California（UC） が入学
試験で双方を使わない方針へ。州立として最大
規模校とあって、国内でも米大学を目ざす高校生
らの塾・予備校に大きく影響しそうだ＝22日NT。
「オモロイ」を中心にpointのみ。
・ 原因は、従来の試験ががunfair to poor, black and
Hispanic students、ということらしい。アジア系は
含まれていない！
・全米でも比重の大きいbrandなので、影響が

・ コロナ禍でこの春、UCはlost $45million in
revenue、というが、他大学の今後に大きく影響しそう。

・ SATなどを仕切るCollegeBoardは実績があり、
they ve’been around for a long time.なにしろ、
長年の経験がある＝aroundのこんな用法、久しぶり。

the SAT and ACT （optional＝選択制＝ for admission）
スキャンダルが改革を進めるんですね。
