カマキリ

8月2日(木)快晴

庭のプールの柵にカマキリを発見。子供の頃から動植物が好きなので、現在のアパートは大いに気に入っています。朝から晩まで沢山の鳥と蝶が飛んで来ます。これまで家の周りで確認した鳥は45種、蝶は23種。爬虫類・両生類はワニ、蛇、トカゲ、カエルなど12種。動物はカンガルー、ポッサム、コウモリなど8種。家の前のビーチにもイルカが時々姿を見せるそうですが、まだ目撃していません。

Mantis

I found a mantis on the fence surrounding the swimming pool in our garden. As I have always liked animals and plants since I was a child I like our present apartment a lot. A lot of birds and butterflies visit here from morning to night. I identified 45 species of birds, 23 of butterflies, and 12 of reptiles and amphibian such as crocodiles, snakes, lizards, and frogs. I also identified 12 species of mammals such as kangaroos, possums, and bats. People say sometimes dolphins visit the beach in front of our apartment but I haven’t seen one yet.
