インド・東南アジア原産のシソ科の一年草。髭に見えるのは4本の雄蕊と1本の短い雌蕊。猫は視力が良く暗がりでも平気ですが近くは良く見えません。古人曰く「猫の髭は切るな」。髭の根元に神経が集中していて、目を守り、狭い道を通れるか判断します。日本の未来は隘路。放射能漏れは既に3カ月。

Cat’s Whiskers Sat. June 11 : fine
This is a kind of annual herb that belongs to mint family. It’s originally from India and South-east Asia. The part that looks like whiskers is its 4 stamina and a short pistil. A cat has very good eyesight so it doesn’t mind darkness but has difficulty in seeing things close to it. There is an old saying that “Never cut cat’s whiskers”. Cat’s nerves concentrate in the roots of the whisker to protect cat’s eyes. Also a cat figures out if it can go through the narrow path in front. Japanese future is in the narrow path.
