美しき秋

ケアンズでは4月後半から6月前半までの2ヶ月間が年間で最も美しい季節と言われています。熱帯に季節感はあまりありません。それでも乾季に入り、青空が澄み、風が止まり、落ち着いた色の秋の花が咲きます。リンゴ、ブドウ、ナシなどの秋の果物が店頭に並びます。気温は18－28度。プールの水も冷たくはありません。毒クラゲがいなくなるので海で泳ぐこともできます。コウモリは相変わらず夜の空を飛び回っています。

Beautiful autumn

It is said that those 2 months from late April to early June is the most beautiful season in a year in Cairns. There’s little sense of seasons in the tropical area. Yet when the dry season comes the blue sky becomes purer, the wind stops blowing, and elegantly colored autumn flowers bloom. Autumn fruits, apples, grapes, and pears are displayed at the fruit shops. The temperature is between 18-28 degrees. The water in the swimming pool is not cold. You can swim in the sea as poisonous jelly fish is gone. Fruit bats fly in the night sky as usual.
