さすがは日本、型にはまった育成方法が得意。四角いスイカは透明なプラスチックの箱で育てるそうです。運搬・保存に最適。1個15,000円。観賞用なので味は保証しないとは残念。日本の篤農家には四角いキャベツや大根、切り口が星型のスター・フルーツ・スイカにも挑戦してもらいたい。ＪＡ（農協）とＪＲの合弁で自動改札機能のついた「環境に優しい」1口サイズのスイカ、ＪＴとの合弁で微量ニコチン入りの禁煙スイカなんて意外にヒットするかも。

It’s truly Japan that they are good at mold formed cultivation. They raise cubic water melons in the translucent plastic boxes. They are handy for transportation and storage purposes. They are $150 each. Unfortunately the quality of the taste is not guaranteed as they are ornamental plants. I want Japanese practical farmers to challenge to produce cubic cabbages and radishes, and star fruit shaped water melons. The Japan Agriculture-Japan Railway joint company should be able to produce bite-sized water melons that have automatic wicket function. Smokeout water melons that contain minute amount of nicotine should be produced by the Japan Agriculture-Japan Tobacco joint company might be a big hit.
