5月17日（火）快晴
2年前に太陽鳥の番が書斎のテラスの藤製家具の上で思案顔。巣作りの場所探し？屋外灯にＳ字金具を取り付けたら、今年やっと枯れ草と蜘蛛の糸で巣作り開始。それから2カ月、3羽の雛が巣立って行きました。用心深い鳥で雛は滅多に鳴き声は出しません。巣は僕の机から1ｍの距離。僕も無言で別れの挨拶。

Fledging of sun birds

2 years ago there was this sunbird couple with thoughtful look on my Malacca terrace furniture. Were they looking for some good place for their nest? I had put the S-shaped metal parts on the outdoor lamp and they have finally started to build their nest using the dried grass and spider threads. 2 months has passed and 3 chicks have left the nest. They are so cautious that they rarely sing. The distance from the nest to my desk is about 1m. I said “good-by” to them silently.
巣立ちは、うれしい反面
寂しさも。。。
我が家の息子たちは、何時ごろ
巣立っていくのでしょうか。。。
豪州では18歳になると家を追い出されます。
僕の家は伝統的に12歳。僕の兄弟姉妹は12才で親元から独立。僕の息子も12才でつくばの中高一貫学園に入寮しました。
