夫婦でデートナイト (Date Night)

皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How's your day going today?




さて、今日はまだ日本に帰る前の7月末のお話です。
Okay, this is about a date which Andy and I enjoyed in July even before May-chan and I took the Japan trip.



日本帰国前でまだまだめいの睡眠サイクルが安定していた夏のある日、確かママにめいを見てもらって夫婦でデートしてきました。
It was still when May-chan's sleep cycle was very stable and consistent, and Andy's mom generously babysat May-chan one summer night so that we could have a date.



やっぱり子育てに仕事に追われる毎日、夫婦揃ってお疲れ気味だったので、2人の意見が一致してカジュアルに貴重な時間を過ごさせてもらう事にしました。
The busy days for parenting and work kept us busy and kind of tired both of us too at the time, so we decided to just spend the precious time for a casual and easy date that night.




まずはこちらのクラフトショップ。
This is a craft shop.



画材とか裁縫道具とか売っていて、Hit-chanはあるクラフト作品の為に紐のようなものを探していたので、Andyっちにこちらのショップに連れてきてもらいました。
They sell art and sewing tools, and the reason why Andy took me here was because I was looking for something like rope or thread for my craft project at the time.





紐と言っても、こんなに一杯種類がありました。
Even when you say rope or thread, they had a very big selection.




その後、無事イメージに合う毛糸を安くで見つけたので購入。
After I enjoyed browsing in the store, I found perfect yarn for my craft and bought it.




次にターゲットで買い物。日本帰国のフライト用にめいの為のおもちゃを購入しました。（ちなみにそのおもちゃ、フライトではそんなにですが、今家で大活躍してます。笑）
The next place that we went to was Target. We just did our regular grocery shopping and also bought a toy for May-chan, which I was going to give her on the long flight to Japan. (She wasn't into the new toy so much on the plane but loves it now at home. Haha)



ちょっとした買い物を2件した後、その日のディナーを食べにいく事にしました。
After we did 2 shoppings, we headed to grab a dinner.



2人とも洒落たレストランでディナーという気分ではなかったので、カジュアルなお店に行きました。
Neither Andy or I were in a mood for a fancy dinner, so we picked up this casual restaurant.




私はこの時で3回目くらいだったんですが、このお店でよくビールのイベントがあるのでAndyっちは結構来ています。
It was my 3rd time or so to eat at the restaurant, but Andy enjoyed this restaurant more since they sometimes had a beer event there.









これはAndyっちのん。何やったかな？忘れた。(笑)

Hit-chanはBBQポークのサンドイッチでした。美味しかったよ～。
I had this BBQ pork sandwich. It was pretty good.




いつもお仕事お疲れ様です。

当たり前なんですが、めいが生まれてからこうやって夫婦2人で外食したりする機会がめっきり減りました。
Needless to say, but Andy and I have got less chances to eat out by ourselves like this since May-chan was born.



だからこそ、こうやって久しぶりにお出かけできたのがすごく息抜きになりました。
That is why the date night become so precious and relaxing for both of us.



「めいを連れていないとこんなにも歩くのが楽なのか～。」と実感ましたねぇ。
"Walking without May-chan feels super light and easy!" That't what I was most amazed that night. LOL



という事で、ベビーシッターをしてくれたママに感謝感謝でした！
Thanks to Mom for babysitting May-chan, we could have such a nice date!

また夫婦で髪を切ってもらったよ。 (Couple Hair Cuts)

皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How's your life treating you today?




現在絶賛過去にあった事を遡って書いておりますが、この記事も日本に帰る前に書いたものです。
So, I've been catching up with all the stories and pictures in the past here recently, and this is also an article that I already wrote before the Japan trip.



今更感が甚だしいですが、どうぞお付き合いください。
Yeah, I know that you might want to say, "Is it that before?" but I hope you'll still enjoy it.




さて、Hit-chan、こう見えて？シャイな性格なので、苦手な事の一つにヘアカットに行くという事があります。
Well, I've said this often here, but I'm so shy and don't like going to get a haircut so much.




別に髪を切るのは良いのですが、担当してくださる美容師さんとの当たり障りの無い会話が苦手なんですよねぇ。
I don't mind having a stylist cut my hair so much but don't like the awkward time to have a small talk with the stylist.




日本にいた頃も苦手だったんですが、ミネソタだと英語で会話＆チップが発生するという事で、「そんなお金を使ってまでなぁ～。」という気分になり、余計に美容室から足が遠のいていました。
I didn't like the uncomfortable time at a hair salon when I was in Japan, but here in MN, I have to do the awkward small talk in English and pay tips as well (In Japan, we don't have to pay tips to a stylist.). So, I was feeling like, "I don't wanna spend that much money for a okay hair cut and an uncomfortable chat with a stranger!" and didn't go to a hair salon for a while.



ですが、そんなところに現れたのがHit-chanの数少ないミネソタの日本人のお友達、ミカちゃんです。
Though, a hair life savor appeared in my life! She's one of my Japanese friends in MN, Mika-chan.




ミカちゃんとはこのブログを通して知り合ったんですが、ミカちゃんはミネソタで美容師をしているんです。
We met through my blog, and she went to a cosmetic school here and is now a professional hair stylist.




で、初めて切ってもらって以来、そのお人柄＆カットスキルの素晴らしさで髪を切るとなればいつもミカちゃんにやってもらってます。
Ever since she first cut my hair a couple of years ago, I've asked her to do my hair. She has such a lovable personality and a pro skill too, so I can't ask anybody else for my hair cut anymore.




Andyっちも一度切ってもらって以来ミカちゃんのファンになり、自分から「また近々髪切りたいから、ミカちゃんいつ働いているか聞いて～。」と頼んできてくれます。
Andy's also a fan of her since Mika-chan first cut his hair and sometimes asks me, "I kind of wanna cut my hair soon, so can you ask Mika-chan when she's available?"




先月、Andyっちが出張を控えており、その前にどうしても切りたいとの事で、いつもの如くミカちゃんにお願いしてきました。
Last month, Andy had a business trip and wanted to cut his hair before the trip, so we had an appointment with her.




Hit-chanも日本帰国が9月にあるので、本当はもう少し日が近づいてから切ってもらおうと思っていたんですが、折角なのでAndyっちが切るタイミングで一緒に切ってもらう事にしました。
I also have a Japan trip in September and was originally going to get a hair cut when it's closer to the time, but it was easy for me to cut my hair at the same time with Andy, so I made an appointment for myself too.





前回切ってもらってからそこまで時間は経ってないと思ってましたが、結構伸びてました。
I didn't think that it wasn't so long after the last haircut, but my hair got longer than I thought.











あ、このビフォーアフター写真はいつもミカちゃんが撮ってくれます。（いつもありがとー。）

で、いつものように、お友達としてあれこれペチャクチャお喋りをしている間にあれよあれよとミカちゃんの手が動いて。。。
Just as usual, while I enjoyed chatting with Mika-chan as friends, Mika-chan finished cutting my hair so wonderfully as a pro hair stylist.





完成～！
Done!




いやぁ、良い感じですねぇ。
Yeah, it's really good.




産後ボリュームが減った髪もミカちゃんの技術でボリュームアップにスタイリングされております。
I lost quite of my hair after childbirth, but Mika-chan set my hair very well and made it look more volume.



Hit-chanが切ってもらっている間、Andyっちがめいを見ていてくれいました。
While I was having my haircut, Andy was watching May-chan.





で、Andyっちのばん。ビフォー。
This is his before.



アフターの写真は撮らなかったんですが、いつも通り素敵なカットをしてもらっておりました。
Though, I didn't take pics of his after, but it was very nice as always.





で、最後にいつも通りミカちゃんにめいを抱っこしてもらって終了！
At last, Mika-chan held May-chan too.




ミカちゃんはもう既に大事なお友達な上、そのカット技術も素晴らしいので髪を切ってもらうならミカちゃんなんですが、一つだけ難点が。。。
Mika-chan is now my very good friend and also my facorite hair stylist too. I'm super happy to have her cut my hair, but there's only one drawback which is...




それは、ミカちゃんのサロンが家から遠い～！！！
Her salon is pretty far from my house!!!




Andyっちのパパママの家からサロンは車で5分くらいなんですが、我が家からサロンまでは車で40分くらいかかります。
Andy's Dad&Mom's house is only 5mis drive away from her salon, but ours is 40mins away from it.




ちなみに、ミカちゃん、この訪問の後に新しいサロンに就職したんですが、そのサロンもほぼほぼ同じエリアなので、我が家からの距離は変わらず。
Actually, Mika-chan got a new job at a different salon recently, but the new salon is also in the same area where the old one is, so we still have to make a 40min drive to get a haircut from her.




お友達としても、お互いがもっと近くに住んでいたら毎週くらい遊びたいんですが、お互い車の運転がそんなに好きじゃないので、ダウンタウンを超えてお互いの家に行くのが高い壁なんですよねぇ。
As her friend, I wish I lived much closer to her house and hung out with her every week, but we both don't like driving so much, it's challenging for us to drive through downtown area.




まぁまぁ、そんなジレンマも感じつつも、今回も夫婦揃って素敵にカットしてもらって大満足でございました。
It's a big dilemma that we can't hang out so often even if we do want to. Though, Andy and I got wonderful haircuts by Mika-chan on the day and were so happy about it.




折角家から遠出？してきたので、帰りにユナイテッドヌードルに寄ってもらいました。
After the haircuts, we're alerady out closer to United Noodles, so I asked Andy to stop by there too.





この日は土曜日の朝でそんなに混んでいませんでした。
It was Saturday morning, and the store wasn't very busy.




折角髪を切ってもらったんですが、帽子被っててアフターが分からん。
He just got a haircut but hid it with his hat. Haha.








9月に日本に一時帰国するのもあって、この日は購買欲を押さえる事ができて、ほぼほぼ必要なものだけを買う事ができました。
It's not so far from my Japan trip in September, so I could stop shopping before I put too much things in the basket.





そんな感じで、お気に入りの美容師さんって見つけるのが大変だと思いますが、Hit-chanの場合はラッキーにも美容師さんだけでなく素敵なお友達も一緒に見つけられちゃいました。
Anyways, I just want to say that I'm super lucky to find a wonderful friend and a great hair stylist at the same time. Thanks, Mika-chan!

Andyっちの40回目の誕生日 (Andy's 40th Birthday)

Hi everyone!




皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How are you doing today?




日本帰国を楽しんでいる間にブログネタが溜まりに溜まってしまい、現在頑張って追いつこうと過去の記憶を辿って書いておりますが、今日はタイムリーな話題をお話しようと思います。
While I was having much fun in Japan, I didn't update my blog at all. So, I have stored tons of pictures and stories that I want to share here and been trying to catch up with them these days. But today, I want to talk about something really timely today.



というのも、昨日の11月15日はHit-chanの愛する旦那さん、Andyっちの40歳の誕生日だったんです！（パチパチ！）
Yesterday, November 15th, was my loving hubby, Andy's 40th birthday!!! (applause!)




まぁ、もともとAndyっちは自分の誕生日を派手にお祝いしたい人ではないので、誕生日当日の今日まで特に何も決まっておりませんでした。
Andy's not a person who wants to do a big party to celebrate his birthdays so didn't have any particular plan for his birthday until his birthday. Haha.



そもそも、Andyっち本人は最近はずっと仕事が忙しかったり体調も少し崩していたりしてたし、Hit-chanもめいの睡眠サイクルが崩れていたりで疲れが取れなかったりと、2人ともあんまり余裕を持って考えられる状況でもなかったんですよねぇ。
Outside of his birthday, Andy's been super busy in his crazy work situation and also kind of sick for a while too. I also have been dealing with May-chan's inconsistent and unstable sleep cycle and tired too. So, neither of us could think much about Andy's birthday stuff.




そんな誕生日の朝、Hit-chanはまだベッドの中。
Anyways, in his birthday morning, I was still in bed.



めいはもう起き出して愚図り始めており、「もうそろそろ起きないといけないかなぁ？いや、もう少し様子を見ようか？」と思っていた時、仕事に行ったと思っていたAndyっちが寝室に入ってきて、
May-chan was already awake and started being fussy in her crib. So, I was wondering, "Do I get up now? Or do I want to make her stay for a little bit more?" Then, Andy who I thought was already gone to work came in our bedroom and said,




「ハニー、ほんまごめんやねんけど助けてくれへん？財布が見つからへんねん。」
"Sorry honey, I need your help. I can't find my wallet."




との事。





昨夜、ポケットに入ってある物を全てカウンターにのせて寝たはずなんですが、何故か財布だけが見当たらない。
Last night, he took everything out from his pocket, put them on a counter and went to sleep, but only his wallet was missing.




で、2人でソファを動かしたり、車や地下室、それこそ冷蔵庫の中を探したんですが、見つからない。
So, we searched it everywhere like his car, the basement and even in the fridge. We also moved the big couch but couldn't find it.




いつも家を出ている時間をとうに過ぎていたので、最悪、家で仕事をしようとしていたAndyっちに、「ハニーちゃん、私が探すからとりあえず仕事を始めといたら？」と提案し、Andyっちはリビングで仕事開始。
The time when Andy usually left home was alrady passed, so I told Andy, "Honey-chan, you can start working here, and I'll keep looking for it." So, Andy started working on the couch.



家の中の考えられる箇所を全て探したので、少し愚図っていためいにお菓子を与え、Hit-chanはAndyっちが見たという外をもう一度探してみる事にしました。
May-chan was a little bit fussy, so I gave her a snack to keep her calm firt. Then, I thought that both Andy and I searched all over that we could think of already so tried to give it a shot to look for outside again, where Andy already looked.



そしたらね、ありましたよ～！！！！
Then, guess what??




車の横の地面に落ちてました。
I found it on the ground by his car!!




Andyっちも一応外は探したんですが、その時はまだ暗くてよく見えなかったんです。
Andy also searched at the same spot, but the outside at the time was too dark for him to find it.




そんな訳で、Andyっちも一安心で仕事に出発。
Anyways, Andy finally could leave home for work with his wallet. Haha.



ふぅー。折角の誕生日にテンションだだ下がりにならなくて良かったよ～。
Phew. I was so relieved that this incident made his birthday screwed up.




で、Andyっちの40回目の誕生日はそんな感じで幕を開けたんですが、その後は穏やかに過ぎていきました。
This is how his 40th birthday began, but the rest went very peacefully.




Andyっち本人は何も大きなものは望んでいなかったのですが、Hit-chanは一応できるだけの事はしようと思いまして、ささやかなお祝いの準備をしました。
Like I said, Andy didn't want anything big or fancy for his birthday, but I still wanted to do something special to celebrate it together.





2日かけて作ったデコレーション。
This is my handmade decoration which took me 2 days to make.




めいの気を上手く逸らしながら、クラフト作業。(笑)
I had to keep May-chan distracted while I was working on the craft. Haha.




当日にターゲットで花も買ってきました。
I also got some flowers for him too.




もちろん、プレゼントとカードも用意。
Of course, cards and presents.




いつもは色んなものでごちゃごちゃなダイニングテーブルも片付けて完成。
The dinig table is usually so messy, but I cleaned it up too.



この日の夕食は本当に簡単なもので、Andyっちが仕事帰りに買ってきてくれた近くのスーパーのフライドチキンとサラダ。
The dinner was super simple, and we just had Lunds' fried chicken and sald.




でも、ケーキはちゃんと買っておきました。40歳なんで、ろうそくは4本。
Still, I got him a cake! I put 4 candles on it.




めいと2人でハッピーバースデーを歌いました。
May-chan and I, or just I, sang Happy Birthday to Andy.

まずはめいからのプレゼントで。。。
A present from May-chan first.




燻製醤油（渋～い！）Andyっちと日本滞在中に高島屋で見つけ、リブを作る時に使ったりして「もっと欲しい～！」と言ってたので、今回めいと帰った時に買ってきました。
It's smoked soy sauce! Andy really loved smoked soy sauce which we found at a department store in Kyoto and were saying "I want this more!" So, I got the same brand on the last trip.




次にHit-chanの母からのプレゼント。
This is a present from my mom.




ずっと飲んでみたいと言っていた日本酒、手取川です。
It's sake which Andy'd wanted to try for a long time. It's called 手取川 Tetorigawa.



めいが生まれる時に母が来る予定で、その時にこのお酒も持ってきてくれる手はずだったんですが、体調不良で断念。
My mom was going to come here to help us when May-chan was born and bring this sake with her then. Though, she had some health issue and neede to cancel the trip.




その事があったので、母がすごく申し訳ないと感じていたらしく、今回改めてプレゼントしてくれました。
So, she felt so bad that she couldn't give it to Andy so got it again for him this time.





まだ飲んでいませんが、お母さん、めっちゃ嬉しそうにしてたよ～。
Mom! He hasn't tried it yet but seemed super happy when he opened the box!




そうそう、もちろん、この開封式にはめいも参加してます。
Oh yeah, of course, May-chan was present at the opening ceremory.




最近拍手できるようになりました。
She recently mastered to clap her hands.




パチパチ。
Clap, clap!




で、最後はHit-chanからのプレゼント。
The last one was from me.




何かな、何かな～？
What is it???




中身はHard Rock Caféのトレーナーでした！最近故郷の京都にもお店ができたので、買ってきました。
Yeah, it's Hard Rock Cafe's hoodie! I got it at the Kyoto store which was my hometown and newly opened!



40歳という区切りの誕生日だったんですが、本当に家族3人だけのささやかなお祝いになりました。
The 40th birthday is kind of big deal in general, but we celebrated Andy's in the very calm and cosy way.



でも、本人はとても喜んでくれて、「良い誕生日だった。」と言ってくれたので良かったです。
Still, Andy really loved it and told me, "It was a very nice birthday." So, I'm so happy too!




という訳で、愛するAndyっち、ハッピーバースデー！！！
Okay, Happy Birthday, Honey-chan! I love you!!!

State Fair 2019 2nd Day vol.2

Hello!




皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How's your day going today?




さて、こちらミネソタはすっかり寒くなっており、まぁ、気候で言えばガッツリ冬に入ってる感じです。
Here in MN, it's already so chilly out, and I'd call it winter already.




そうそう、もう既にTVではクリスマスのCMが流れていて、「え、もうクリスマスなん？感謝祭もまだ終わってないのになぁ。」という気分です。何だか、毎年クリスマス商戦開始が早くなっている感じです。
On TV, they've started Holiday commercials and made me feel, "Is it already Christmas?? It's not Thanksgiving here yet." It feels like that they push the startline for the holiday businees back further and further every year.



で、今日もまたステイトフェアネタですが、今回で最後なのでお付き合いお願いします。
Anyways, I want to talk about the state fair again today. This is the last one, so I hope you'll keep it up with me.




トムとキャット、そのお友達と合流した後、オリーブのフライを食べて、Hit-chanは喉が渇いたので。。。
After we gathered with our friends, Tom&Kat, we got fried olives. Then, I got a little thirsty, so...





このお店に。メキシコ料理の屋台なんですが、フレッシュラスベリーティーが売ってたんです。
I stopped by this Fajita stand. Because I found a sign saying "Fresh Raspberry Tea" on the stand.






フレッシュと書いてあった通り、甘すぎずスッキリした味で美味しかったです！
Just as they said "Fresh", it was not too sweet but very refreshing, fruity and delicious.






で、こちらのビアガーデン的な所で皆はビールと。。。
Then, we hit this beer garden. Everybody else got beer there.






こちらの蟹のコロッケだったかな？（もうずいぶん前なので記憶が。。。）
Kat got this crab balls? (I forgot what they were since my memories only last not so long...)






この辺でめいはお昼寝に入りました。
May-chan started taking a nap around then.






で、今回初めて見た木こりショー？これはショーが始まる前にパフォーマンスも兼ねて、チェーンソーで丸太から何かを切り出してました。
This was first time for Andy and me. It was a lumbrejack show. He's performing to carve something out from a log with a chainsaw.






切り出していたのはこのクマちゃん達。もちろん、お買い求めできます。（ちなみにキャットは昨年買ったらしい。笑）
These are what he created with a log and a chainsaw. Of course, they're for sale. (Kat said she got one last yeat. Haha)




男女1人ずつの2チームが、ノコギリで丸太の早切りをしたり、的に目掛けて斧を投げたり、立てた丸太に上って行ったりして、どちらが木こりとしてのスキルが高いかを競うゲームをしていました。
So, a female and a male made a team, and 2 teams competed againt each other to see which team was more skilled as a lumberjack. They did a couple of games like cutting a log with a saw by hand, throwing an ax to a target and climbing up on a tall log




面白かったんですが、チェーンソーの音が結構大きくて、お昼寝から起きためいを連れてトム＆キャット達と一旦別れて違う場所に移動する事にしました。
It was fun to watch, but the chainsaw noise was very loud and made May-chan wake up from a nap, so we left the show and Tom&Kat once there and moved to a more quiet place.





で、行ったのがアートビルディング。ここ2，3年前からチェックするようになった場所です。
Where we went was the art building. We started to check the exhibition from a couple of years ago.






絵や工作が一杯並んでいます。こちらは子供たちの作品セクションなんですが、隣の建物では大人のクラフト作品が見られます。
There were a lot of drawings, paintings and crafts. The section was for the works by children, and in the building nextdoor, you could see a lot of artistc creation made by adults.






こちらは大人セクションから。木工玩具。
These are some of handmade wooden toys.






こちらは木製のカヤック？
This is a handmade wooden kayak?






こちらは、ゴルフボールを加工して色々な鳥が彫り出されてあります。凄いなぁ。ほんと。
These are very sophisticated bird carvings made with golf balls. So amazing.






これは折り紙で作られたロボット。
I think this was a robbot made with Origami papers.




いやぁ、大人達の本気の趣味なのか、プロの作品なのか、「これ、売れるよ。」っていう物ばかりで、「こんな物を自分で作れたら楽しいだろうなぁ。」と羨ましかったです。
Oh well, I don't know if I should call it a hobby or what, but everything was wonderful enough to be be sellable. I was a little bit jealous on all the artists who were very skilled to do such a fun thing.




で、素敵なアート作品に触れた後は、スポーツ。
After we enjoyed the amazing art works, we did a sport next.




毎年やってますが、ゲームセンターでバスケのシュートゲーム。(笑)
Yeah, we do this at the fair every year. It's a basketball shooting game. haha




年に1回くらいやると面白いのよね。
I think that you can enjoy the game most if you play it just once a year.



で、この後またトム＆キャット達と合流して。。。
Then, we joined Tom&Kat and their friends...





ビールタイム。
Beer time!





キャットといるとめいをあやしてくれるので助かります。
Kat's always willing to play with May-chan, and it's very helpful.




で、Andyっちがフェアで必ず食べるのが。。。
One of the fair foods that Andy always gets is...





チーズカーズ。Cheese Curdsってチーズになる前の段階らしいのですが、それを揚げたもので、味はチーズで食感が何だろう？モッツァレラチーズに近いかな？美味しいですよ。

チーズカーズを食べた所でお腹も満たされて疲れてきたので、そろそろ家に帰る事にしました。
After we enjoyed the cheese curds and beer, we started getting tired and decided to leave.




家に帰る前に、こちらも毎年恒例になっている宝くじコーナーで宝くじを購入。
Before we took off, we stopped by the lottery stand and got some scratch ones. That's our fair traditional too.




その場でいくつかスクラッチくじを削ってみましたが、夢は夢のままでした。(笑)
We scratched a couple of the lotos at the stand, but our dreams stayed dreams. Haha.





で、最後にいつもの写真。これは2時前くらいの様子です。
Then, here's the last picture at the fair as usual. It's around 2pm.




ちなみに朝はこんな感じ。
The morning was like this.




ちょっと意外だったのが、初日の木曜日に来た時よりも日曜日のこの日の方が人が少なくて歩きやすかったです。
What's a little bit surprising to me was that the Sunday was actually less crowded than the Thursday which was the first day of the fair. It was actually very helpful for us to walk around easily.



なので、初日にやり残していた事が全部できて大満足でした。
So, we could do everything that we didn't complete last time, so I was very satisfied with it.

State Fair 2019 2nd Day vol.1

どもども。
Hello there!



皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How's your life treating you?




Hit-chanは元気です。
Mine is spoiling me as always.




めいの時差ぼけ調整ですが、夜に寝て朝起きるという以前のサイクルにほぼほぼ戻ってきているんですが、夜中に数回泣き出すという事が続いています。（やめて～！）
Speaking of May-chan's jet lag, she's been back to her normal cycle, go to bed at night and wake up in the morning, but started waking up and crying a couple of times in the middle of the night lately. (Oh no!)




さて、今日も引き続きステイトフェアネタです。
Okay, I want to talk more about how we enjoyed MN state fair this year today.



今日は2日間行った内の2日目の前半の内容です。
Andy, May-chan and I went there twice on different days this year again, and this is about the first half of the 2nd day.



何をしたかを思い出すために写真をいっぱい撮ったのですが、思いの他多くてビックリしました。
I took a lof of pictures so that I could remember what we ate and did at the fair but was surprised to see more pictures than I expected in my camera afterwards.




では、ササっと行きたいと思います。
Okay, let's start it.




私達が2度目のフェアに行ったのは日曜日。
It was Sunday when we went to the fair for the 2nd time.





この日も朝早く家を出ました。
We left home early in the morning on the day again.




久しぶりに朝焼けを見て綺麗だったのでパチリ。（カリブーで働いていた時はしょっちゅう見てた景色なのになぁ。）
I hadn't seen a beautiful dawn like this and couldn't help taking a shot of it. (It reminede me of the days when I worked at Caribou and saw such a nice view almost every morning.)




フェアの公式駐車場に車を停めてフェア会場に向かっている時、歩道橋から道路を見たら既に駐車場待ちの車の列が。。。
We parked at the fair parking and then walked to the fair ground. On the way, I already saw a long line of cars waiting for a parking apot on the street.




無事入場。

恒例の朝一写真。

そんでもってめいと2回目のジャンプ。

そして朝一のコーヒーを買いに。今回はクーポンブックを買ったので、クーポンが使えるお店で。コーヒー専門店だったから美味しかった～。
Then, we went to get me a cup of coffee. We had a blue ribbon coupon book on the day, so I chose this stand to get the discount. They're cafe stand, so their coffee was pretty good!




で、朝ご飯にクレープ再び。（こちらもクーポンが使えたので。）
I got a crepe for my breakfast on the day again. (I could use a coupon here too.)




前回は甘い系を買ったので、今回はハムとチーズのおかず系を購入。美味しかった！
Last time, I got a sweet one with strawberry and whipped cream. So, this time, I got one with ham and cheese, which was delicious too!




で、めいにもクレープの生地部分をあげたよ。
I shared the crepe skin with May-chan too.




そんでもって、前回と同じく動物を見に行って。こちらは牛舎。
Then, we went to the animal barns again. This is the cow barn.




豚の赤ちゃん可愛い！
We saw baby pigs too! So cute!




大人の豚さん。一応、めいにも近くで見せてみたけど、そんなに反応なし。
We also saw adult pigs too. We tried to let May-chan look at them closer, but she didn't seem curious so much yet.




コンテスト出場に向けて準備中のお馬さん。すごいでっかいよ。
We also walked in the horse barn and found horses getting ready for a contest. They're so tall and huge when you look at them near.




で、大好きなポニーの乗馬コンテスト。
Then, we went to watch my favorite horse riding contest, miniture horse!




さっき準備していたお馬さんたちが出ていた馬車のコンテスト。
After the miniture horse riding contest, there's one with the bigger ones which we saw in the horse barn.




めいもちょっとだけ興味を示したけど、結局すぐに退屈。
May-chan looked a little bit interested in the moving horses but got bored shortly after. LOL



なので乗馬コンテスト会場を後にして、今度はAndyっちの朝ご飯を買いに行きました。
So, we left the contest colosseum and went to get Andy his breakfast.




前回はHit-chanが買ったポークチョップ。
He got this pork chop which I also enjoyed last time.




嬉しそう。(笑)
He's happy!



で、今回は友達のトム＆キャットとそのお友達と一緒に回る約束をしており、待ち合わせの時間の9時になったので合流。
So, this time, we planned to see the fair with our friends, Tom&Kat and their friend so met up with them at 9am.




で、Hit-chan以外の皆はビールをゲットしに。（ビールを売って良い時間まで5分くらいあったみたいで、皆並んでます。笑）
Everybody was waiting in the line for beer. (They had to wait for 5mins or so until the shop could start serving alcohol. Haha)




トム＆キャットのお友達の顔出し許可は尋ねてないので、一応隠してます。3人とも嬉しそう。
I didn't ask Tom&Kat's friend if it's okay to put this pic here, so I hid his face just in case. Though, all of 3 looked so happy with beer in thier hands.




毎年楽しんでるステイトフェアですが、いつもと違うメンバーで行くと普段食べたり見たりしない物を見られるので、新しい発見があるので楽しいんです。
Andy and I goes to the fair every year, but it's also nice to hang out with others there since they show us new things we've never seen or eaten.





皆が絶対食べるって言っていたオリーブのフライ。
Everybody wanted to eat this, Fried olives.




こんな感じです。オリーブの中に何か具が詰まってました。（何が詰まっていたかは忘れたよ。）
Like this. They're stuffed with something inside. (I forgot what's inside. Hehe)




こんな顔出しボードがあったから、めいとキャットで撮ってみたよ。
We also found this board at the olive stand, so May-chan and Kat tried it.




まぁ、フェアと言えば屋台フードがメインで今年も例外ではないんですが、とりあえず、2日目の前半はこんな感じでした。
Speaking of the fair, the big fun part is the food, and we couldn't skp it this year again. So, it's going to be pretty much about what we ate at the fair, but this is all about the first half of our 2nd fair day.

Well, I still have bunch of pictures at the fair but want to end this here for today.
