9 日本帰国 2022/あきさんのお宅訪問 (9 Japan Trip 2022/Visit Aki's Family)

さて、今日も京都滞在記です。
Okay, this is another article of my Kyoto diary.





6月4日の土曜日は、家族皆でHit-chanの親友、あきさんのお家にお邪魔しました。
On Saturday of June 4th, Andy, May-chan and I visited my bestfriend, Aki's house.

めいちゃんの初日本 vol.18 (May-chan's 1st Japan Trip 18) - Hit-Chanのワクワクしてるよ！(Hit-Chan's WakuWaku Life!)

前回お邪魔したのは、めいとHit-chanだけで日本に帰ってきた2019年の10月。なので、3年弱ぶりの再会です。
May-chan and I saw her when we got a chance to come to Japan October in 2019. So, it'd been a little less than 3 years from then. Andy had seen her last in 2018.




帰国する度にあきさんのお家にはお邪魔させてもらってはいるのですが、実は今回、あきさんの旦那さんの新ちゃんと下の娘ちゃんのななちゃんはAndyっちと初対面でした。
Every time we come back to Japan, I set up a day to visit or see her for sure, but on this trip, Andy met Shin-chan (Aki's hubby) and Nana-chan (Aki's second daughter) for the first time.





日本に来てから色んな人と会う機会が増えためい、人見知りもすっかりなくなって、あきさんの家に入った途端に新ちゃんや上の娘ちゃん、さっちゃんに遊んでもらってテンションアップ。
May-chan'd met and seen so many people on this trop and didn't get shy with new people anymore. At Aki's house also, she became friends with Shin-chan and started playing with their first daughter, Sat-chan in a moment.





子供をあやすのが上手な新ちゃんにもすぐに懐いて、一緒にいないないばぁをしてもらって大喜び。
Shen-chan's really good at playing with kids, so May-chan really loved doing Peek-a-boo with him together.





下の娘ちゃん、ななちゃんはめいより6ヶ月だけ年下。年の近い二人はすぐに意気投合して一緒に遊んでいました。
Nana-chan, their second daughter, was just 6 months younger than May-chan, so there's no bar between them to become friends.





お昼はあきさんがわざわざハンバーグを作ってくれており、これがめちゃくちゃ柔らかくて美味しかった！
Aki kindly had cooked Japanese style hamburgers for lunch and they're so tender and delicious!!





めいもななちゃんの横でいただきまーす！ななちゃん、お箸が上手！
May-chan and Nana-chan enjoyed the lunch together. Nana-chan were using chopsticks very well.





めいはここでもやっぱり偏食家を発揮して、白ご飯一択でお腹を満たしておりました。
Yeah, the infamous picky eater, May-chan was there too. She enjoyed the rice only. Haha.





Andyっちとななちゃんもこの日が初対面だったんで、「ななちゃん、Andyのこと怖がるかなぁ？」と思ったりしたんですが全然大丈夫でした。良かった～。
Andy and Nana-chan met each other for the first time that day, so a part of me was wondering, "Is Nana-chan scared of Andy a little bit??" since there's not many foreigners around her, but that was meaningless worry! They got along very well.




めいもななちゃんも本当に仲良く遊んで、この時は二人でジャンプしてけらけら笑っておりました。
May-chan and Nana-chan played together really well too. They started jumping together all of sudden and couldn't stop laughing. Haha.





で、何回かジャンプしたらわざとこけて、また二人で大笑い！
They jumped several times and then intentionally fell. Of course, they laughed out loud together again.




そんな二人を見ていて思ったのが、日本に来て色んな人と会う中でめいが本当に成長しているなぁという事。
Through watching them play together, I thought that May-chan had grown up a lot as socializing many friends and family during the trip.




ミネソタでもプレイデートで日本語学校で同い年のお友達と遊んだりはしていましたが、二人で同じことをしているといっても、それぞれが黙々と砂場で遊んでたりするだけで、お互いに目を見てやりとりするという事が少なかったと思います。
She'd had a play date with her friend in MN too, but they're mostly just individually doing whatever they wanted to do even at a same spot and having less interaction at that time.




でも、ななちゃんとのやりとりは、二人で「あーだ、こーだ。」とコミュニケーションを取りながら遊んでいたので見ていて嬉しかったです。
Though, when May-chan was playing with Nana-chan, she verbally communicated with her and enjoyed doing a same thing together, which made me impressed and happy.





新ちゃんはこの日もお仕事で、お昼を食べたら仕事場に行かないといけなかったので、その前に皆で記念撮影！
Shin-chan had to go to work in the afternoon, so before he left home, we took a picture with all of us together.





両家族が全員集まっての記念撮影はこの日が初めて。皆の良い笑顔をカメラに収める事ができました。
This picture was actually the first one of our both families together. I'm so glad that it turned out great.





そして、あきさん、美味しいご飯の他にこんなに美味しそうなケーキも用意してくれておりました。
Aki's so sweet. She kindly had got us some delicious cakes too!





めいも日本の甘すぎないケーキに舌鼓。
May-chan enjoyed a Japanese style (not as sweet as American cakes) chocolate cake too.




この日を境に、めいはしょっちゅう「さっちゃんとななちゃんのお家行く！」と言うようになりまして、本当に楽しい時間を過ごせたんだなぁととっても嬉しかったです。
From the day, May-chan started telling me, "We're going to Sat-chan and Nana-chan's house!!" frequently, which made me so happy because that told me that she had so much fun with the girls.

7 サードステップ/治療開始！ (7 Third Step/The Treatment Finally Started!)

皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How's your life treating you today?





さて、今日の記事は京都滞在記でもあるのですが、その中でも今回の一時帰国の最大の目的でもあった不妊治療の内容なので、サードステップ（不妊治療）のカテゴリーで書いていきたいと思います。
So, as I've been talking here, doing our second IVF was one of the biggest purposes of this Japan trip, so this is a part of my Japan diary but also a record of our second IVF as well, So, I'll put this in Third Step (infertility treatment) category.





京都入りしてから5日後の、5月30日。
This is about May 30th, 5 days after we started Kyoto life.





日本帰国前からクリニックのOさんとやり取りをしており、毎月記録している生理周期から予想して、最初の診断の予約を5月30日入れてもらっていました。
I had been in touch with the clinic in Japan occasionally since we did our first IVF with them in 2018. I also started talking with Ms. O, the best receptionist that I'd ever seen, more frequently once we decided to do another IVF with them on this trip and made the first appointment on May 30th.





何せめいの体外受精をしたのは4年前で、色々と治療の記憶が薄れていたのすが、事前にお聞きして、最初の診断は生理開始1日目か2日目が好ましいとの事でした。
It was already 4 years ago when Andy and I did our first IVF which brought us May-chan and I didn't remember much of the details how we did it. So, I asked Ms. O several questions beforehand and learned that Day1 or Day 2 of my menstrual cycle of the month would be the best to see a doctor to start an IVF treatment this time.





また、クリニックの方針で、コロナ対策として帰国から1週間は様子を見てからの来院が好ましいとの事だったので、その分も考慮しての帰国日程でした。
According to the rules designated by the clinic, they would prefer me to wait a week at least to visit the clinic after I entered Japan due to COVID-19, so I scheduled the trip considering about the waiting time as well.





予想では5月30日生理が始まるだろうという事だったのですが、この朝時点では少し茶色いおりものがあるくらいで、「どうしよっかなぁ？」と予約を変えてもらうかどうか悩んだんですが、何となく勘で遅くても次の日には絶対生理が始まりそうだったので、そのまま最初に予約してもらった日時で行く事にしました。
I'd kept recording my cycle schedule in an app on my phone and it said that Day1 of the month would be May 30th. As of the morning of May 30th, I got just a little bit of brownish discharge and wondered if I should have changed the appointment or not. Though, from my experience, I kind of knew that my cycle would start in a half day or so anyways, so I decided to visit them as originally planned.





あ、あと、これもコロナ対策なのですが、お世話になっているクリニックでは付き添い不可になっており、もし誰かに付いてきてもらう場合は付き添い者は建物の外で待つようになっていました。
This was also a rule at the clinic which they requested you not to bring somebody with you on your appointment. In case of you wanting to have somebody come with you, there were chairs outside of the building.





なので、今回はめいをAndyっちにみてもらい、Hit-chan一人で。4年振り～！
So, I asked Andy to watch May-chan at the Airbab place while I was gone. Selfie at the station near the clinic. It's already 4 years from the last appointment!




付き添い不可というのもあったのですが、今回滞在していたAirbnbの場所から病院までは最多で乗り換え３回、時間にして１時間程の電車移動になるので、どっちにしてもめいにはお留守番してもらうのが最善策だったと思います。
（クリニックには一応キッズルームがあって、診察中に子供を預ける事も可能でした。）
Besides they requested you not to bring somebody with you, this time we're staying a little bit far from the clinic. I had to take train and transfer 3 times at the most, which was about 1 hour trip, so it's the best and easiest way for everyone anyways to have Andy and May-chan wait for me at the Airbnb place.
(They had a kids room at the clinic, so you could have them watch your child there too.)




クリニックに着くと、これもコロナ対策で入り口で体温を測り、いくつかの質問に答える質問票を記入してから受付をするというシステムになっていました。
（この質問票は毎回記入して提出するものでした。）
When I got to the clinic, I was asked to check my temperature and fill a form for questions about COVID-19.
(I needed to fill the COVID-19 form on every visit.)




受付をしたらすぐに検尿をするようにとの事でした。
After checking in, I took a urine test too.




で、この日の予約は11時からだったんですが、不妊治療に保険が効くようになったからか、クリニックが休みの翌日の月曜日だったからか、すっごく混んでいて、受付をしてから実際に呼ばれるまで1時間半くらいかかりました。
（前回お世話になった4年前に比べてあまりの混み具合だったのでビックリしましたが、その後の予約ではそんな事もなく、この日が以上に混んでいたみたいです。）
My appointment was at 11am, but the clinic was super busy. I assumed that it's because it was Monday and also Japanese government had changed or made a law to cover more of infertility treatment in April 2022. So, they ended up calling my name about 1.5 hour later than the original appointment time.
(Though on the first appointment I was super surprised how much busier they were than when I last visited them 4 years ago, after I visited them more, I learned that it was exceptionally busy only that day.)




1時間半ほど待って、ようやく診察室に呼ばれて、その日の担当の先生と治療方針を大まかに再確認。
After the 1.5 hour wait, I finally could see a doctor of the day. She double-checked some things about my treatment plan.




事前にメールでやりとりしていた事もあり、話はササっと進んで、日本の滞在期間がある程度決まっている事もあり、「早速今月周期で移植をしていきましょう！」という話になりました。
（改めて確認された内容に、「保険なしの全額実費での治療で間違いないか？」というものもありました。）
I had already talked to them via email beforehand, so she already knew what's going on with me. So, "We don't have much time, so why not? Let's get it started in this cycle!" she said.
(She also double-checked if we're going to do the treatment without any health insurance or not too.)




最後にエコーで子宮の状態をチェックしてもらい、「良いです。問題ありません。」という事で、移植に向けての治療開始のゴーサインが出ました。
She checked my womb by ultrasound on the appointment and said, "It looks good! There's no problem." and really gave it the Go-Ahead.





1時間半くらいまって診察はササっと5分程。多分、先生も時間が押していたから巻いてらっしゃったんでしょうね。(笑)
The entire waiting was 1.5 hours, but the time to talk to the doctor was only 5 mins or so. I assumed that she was trying to wrap it up as much as possible since everybody's appointment had been running so late already. Haha.





参考までに、この日の支払いを書いておきます。
FYI, I also want to share how much it costed for the appointment.




初診料・・・2,880円 / The First Visit Fee 2,880yen=$20-30ish
検査料・・・3,850円 / Exam Fee 3,850yen=$35-40ish
その他（消費税662円）・・・3,432円 / Other (taxes 662yen included) 3,432yen=$30-35ish


合計（10割負担）　10,160円 / Total (No insurance coverage) 10,160yen=$100ish
（この記事を書いていて気付いたのですが、どうも合計額の下一桁の端数は四捨五入されてるようです。）
(I noticed this while I was writing this, but they rounded off the last digit.)




と、こんな感じで、無事日本での2回目の体外受精に向けての治療が始まりました～。
Okay, this is how I went through my first appointment for my 2nd IVF in Japan.

8 日本帰国 2022/大好きな姉さんとデート (8 Japan Trip 2022/Date with my big sis)

さて、今日も日本旅行記の続きです。
Okay, let me talk about the Japan trip again today.




6月1日のこの日、長女のHit-chanが姉さんと呼ぶお方と一緒にデートしました。
On June 1st, we had a date with someone who's only one in the world I call "big sis".

めいちゃんの初日本 vol.16 (May-chan's 1st Japan Trip 16) - Hit-Chanのワクワクしてるよ！(Hit-Chan's WakuWaku Life!)

姉さんとの出会いはHit-chanがガンで入院していた時で、患者と看護師さんとの関係でした。
I met her at a hospital as a patient and nurse when I was having a treatment for cancer, which was about 14-15 years ago.

日本2018 (Japan 2018, vol.41) - Hit-Chanのワクワクしてるよ！(Hit-Chan's WakuWaku Life!)

日本に帰る機会がある度に会ってもらってます。
Whenever I get a chance to come back to Japan, I ask her to hang out with me.





この日も電車で京都駅へ。。。
We took a train to Kyoto station.




電車も随分慣れてきました。
May-chan's getting used to a train ride around this time.



姉さんは先に言った通り看護師さんで今も現役バリバリでお仕事されており、やはりコロナ禍での中のお出かけには色々と勤めていらっしゃる病院の規則があったので、「京都駅付近で個室のあるレストラン予約するわ！」とランチの場所を探して予約してくれていました。
So, my big sis is a full time nurse, and needed to follow the rules of COVID-19 designated by her hospital, so "I'll book a restaurant with individually separated rooms near Kyoto station!" she kindly offered to find a place for us.




姉さんが予約してくれたのは京都駅前のイタリア料理屋さん。
She booked a room at an Italian restaurant very close to Kyoto station.
























皆パスタランチにしたんですが、それぞれ違う種類のパスタを分け合って楽しみました。美味しかったよ～！
We all ordered a set of pasta and salad for each and chose different kinds of pasta. They're delicious!





偏食家のめいはパン一択でランチを楽しんでおりました。
The picky eater, May-chan, enjoyed just bread.




美味しいランチの後は、折角京都駅まで出てきていて、Andyっちが伊勢丹でウィスキーの品揃えをチェックしたいとの事だったので、姉さんに付き合ってもらいました。
After the nice lunch, we walked back to Kyoto station and checked a liquor section at Isetan department store since Andy wanted to know what kind of whiskey they would have there.




やっぱり最近は日本のウィスキーが人気で品薄状態なので、伊勢丹のウィスキー売り場もあまりAndyっちが思っているような品揃えではなかったようです。
（特に百貨店なら、希少価値のある銘柄が入っても、店頭には並ばずに上客さんに売られるんだろうなぁと思います。）
Overall Japanese whiskey is super popular and short of stock at any stores nowadays, so even at the famous department store, they didn't have so many bottles enough to amaze Andy.
(In general, they would sell rare bottles to their VIP customers first anyways, and that's why they wouldn't be able to set a big selection on the shelves.)




ウィスキーのチェックが終わった後は、めいが動きたくてうずうずしていたので、京都駅ビルの屋上まで行くことにしました。
After Andy's whiskey browsing, May-chan couldn't wait and stay still anymore, so we went up to the top of the Kyoto Station Building.





久しぶりの屋上。
Long time no come here!





こんな感じで憩える場があります。6月1日のこの日もちょっとは暑かったですけど、その後の気温に比べたら、「この時はまだ涼しかったなぁ～。」と言えるくらいの気温でした。
On top of the Kyoto Station Building, there's a wide open space where you can hang out surrounded by a nice view of downtown Kyoto. That day, June 1st, was a little bit hot, but it's still not that bad back then compared to the heat that we'd have to deal with later in Japan life.




姉さんがお土産に持ってきてくれたチョコレートもなかにめいさん食いつきました。
Big sis kindly gave us a box of assorted chocolates, and the chocolate lover, May-chan, couldn't help saying "No" to try one right away.




ちょこ好きのめいさんなので、「美味しい～！」と喜んで食べておりました。
Of course, May-chan really loved it and said, "Yummy!!"




チョコレートもなかをもらって満足した後は、やっぱり動き回りたかったようで、広場で走り回っておりました。
After she enjoyed the fancy chocolate, she's then in a mood for some exercise. She kept moving and running around in the open space.















嬉しそうで何より。
I'm happy to see her happy.



めいが広場で走り回っている間、Andyっちがめいのことを見ていてくれたので、姉さんとHit-chanは姉さんがわざわざ買いにいってくれたアイスコーヒーを飲みながらゆっくりお喋りができました。
Thanks to Andy for kindly watching May-chan freely running around, Big sis and I could enjoy chatting and drinking some ice coffee. (Big sis kindly went to get an ice coffee for me too.)




折角なので、最後に皆で記念写真。
At last, we took a picture together too!





思いがけずとっても良い写真が撮れました！
Unexpectedly, the picture turned out super good!




良い意味で全然変わってなかった姉さん、相変わらず医療現場の前線で活躍されていて、でもプライベートでは優しくて可愛くて、Hit-chanの大好きな姉さんのままでした。
She'd been working hard for people in need everyday at work as always, but was always very cute and sweet to me. In a good way, Big sis hadn't been changed at all and still someone who I always really loved and respected.





こんな感じで、日本での楽しい思い出がまた一つ増えて大満足なHit-chanでした。
Anyways, I was so happy that I could add another wonderful memory to my diary thanks to Big sis.

7 日本帰国 2022/タコスパーティー (7 Japan Trip 2022/Tacos Party with my girlfriends)

さて、今日も日本滞在記の続きです。
Okay, this is another article of my Japan diary.




5月29日の日曜日、この日はHit-chanが日本で仕事をしていた時にお世話になった先輩で、今現在はお友達として仲良くして頂いているお二方と再会する日でした。
On Sunday, May 29th, we invited my precious friends, Fuji-san and Kitazawa-san, who used to be my co-workers and supported me a lot when I was in Japan. Even after I quit the job and moved to MN, we've been in touch and hung out together every time I come back to Japan,

めいちゃんの初日本 vol.12 (May-chan's 1st Japan Trip 12) - Hit-Chanのワクワクしてるよ！(Hit-Chan's WakuWaku Life!)

お世話になっているふじさんと北澤さんとはめいを前回連れて帰ってきて以来なので、2年8ヶ月ぶりの再会でした。
It'd been 2 years and 8 months since we saw each other in person last when just May-chan and I came back to Japan in 2019.





今回、どこで会おうかと色々と考えたんですが、やっぱりめいがいる中で外食となると、めいの機嫌次第でゆっくりできないし、折角なのでAndyっちも会話に参加してもらいたいし、という事で、私達が滞在している所まで来てもらう事になりました。
（外食だとめいが愚図るとAndyっちが外に連れ出すというパターンが多いので、Andyっちが楽しめくなっちゃうのでね。）
I wondered where would be the best to hang out with them this time and assumed that it'd be hard for us to have a calm and quiet time with May-chan somewhere like a restaurant. Though Andy was kindly willing to watch May-chan while I enjoyed chatting with my friends, I preferred him to join us too since my friends were looking forward to seeing Andy too. So, I ended up deciding to invite them over the Airbnb place.




で、日本に来る前からAndyっちと、「日本にいる間に、家族とか友達にタコスを振る舞えたら良いよねぇ。」という話をしており、日本ではあるけど少し見つけるのが大変なトルティーヤやAndyっち特製のスパイスなどを持ってきていたんです。
Even before we came to Japan this time, Andy and I were talking, "While we're in Japan, it'd be nice if we could make Tacos for our friends or family." So, we had brought some tortillas and Andy's special Taco spice from MN.





そこで、ふじさんと北澤さんに、「良かったら、Andy特製のタコスはどうでしょうか？」と聞いたら、2人とも「ぜひぜひ！」という事で、滞在先でのタコスパーティー開催になりました。
So, I asked Fuji-san and Kitazawa-san, "What about Andy's special Tacos for lunch??" and then "Sure!" they said. So, Andy and I hosted a Taco party.




当日、お二方とも1時間くらいかけて我が家の滞在先まで来てくれまして、最寄駅から滞在先まで案内する為にめいと一緒にお迎えに行きました。
It's super nice of them that they took about 1 hour all the way to see us at the Airbnb place. May-chan and I went to the train station to pick them up and guided them to our place from there.





「久しぶりー！」と無事合流した後、滞在先に案内したら、早速Andyっちがタコスを作り始めてくれました。
"Long time no see!!!" we found each other at the station without a problem. When we got to the Airbnb place, Andy had started making tacos.





予想通り、めいも慣れている場所だったので、こんな風に途中YouTubeを見せたりして、大人たちは楽しい話に花を咲かせておりました。
（机の上の乱雑さはスルーでお願いします。）
As I had expected, May-chan's used to the place and relaxed watching YouTube, so we also could have a fun and relaxing time chatting a lot.
(Please ignore the mess on the table. Hehe.)




そんなところで、Andyっちの特製タコスが完成！
Okay, here came Andy's special tacos!





一応、Hit-chanバージョンの焼肉味も用意しました。
I also made Hit-chan's special tacos which was Korean BBQ flavor.




で、肝心の味ですが、お二方とも「美味しい！」と喜んでくれて、おもてなし精神一杯のAndyっちも大満足でございました。
Thankfully, both Fuji-san and Kitazawa-san loved our tacos, which made Andy super happy!!




Hit-chanの方は、久しぶりに大好きなお二人に会えて、とにかく喋りに喋り倒しました。(笑)
Yeah, why not? I chatted a lot with my favorite friends. Like about 4 hours. LOL




前回帰国した時にはAndyっちは一緒に来られなかったので、今回久しぶりにAndyっちもお二人に会う事ができて喜んでいました。
On my last trip with May-chan, Andy couldn't come with us, so he's glad to see and have a great time with them together this time.





大好きなお二人は現役バリバリで仕事をされている人生の先輩なので、改めてお二人の仕事の話とか、プライベートの話とかを聞かせてもらって、「私も頑張ろう！」と、たくさんの刺激をもらうことができて嬉しかったです。
Fuji-san and Kitazawa-san are both full-time workers and also life models to me too. So, through talking to them about lots of miscellaneous things such their work, private and life histories, I got a lot of inspiration and motivation to enjoy my own life to the maximum.





お仕事をしているお二人なので中々長期休暇を取るのは難しいとは思いますが、機会があればぜひぜひミネソタにお招きして一緒にカリブーコーヒーでも飲めたら最高だなぁ、だなんて夢を見ています。
It's a little bit hard for them to take a long vacation since they work full time (and Japanese work system), but Andy and I definitely do want to invite them over our house in MN and I'd like take them to a Caribou and enjoy some coffee with them too.





改めて、北澤さん、藤野さん、あっという間の楽しい時間をありがとうございました。たくさんのお土産もありがとう！！！
Thank you again, Fuji-san and Kitazawa-san! The fun time with you guys flew so quickly! Thanks for the souvenirs too!





喋るのに忙しくてあんまり写真はありませんが、最後にハイ、チーズ！！
I was too busy chatting to take many pictures that day, but didn't forget to take one with everyone!

6 日本帰国 2022/我が愛すべきスカッチ (6 Japan Trip 2022/My lovable Skutch)

さて、今日も日本滞在記をお届けしていきます。
Okay, here's another article of my Kyoto diary.




京都滞在5日目、この日は5月25日の水曜日だったんですが、Hit-chanの妹スカッチのお仕事が休みだったので、車で近くのイオンモールまで連れて行ってくれました。
On May 25th, Day 5 in Kyoto, May-chan and I had a mall date with my sister, Skutch since she's off that day.





スカッチが車の免許を取ってほぼ3年。Hit-chan、初めて乗せてもらいました。
It's been almost 3 years since she got a driver's license and it was the first time for me to ride on her car.





スカッチの彼氏さんNさんの甥っ子さんのお下がりのチャイルドシートを事前に取り付けておいてくれてました。感謝！
Thanks to her boyfriend, N-san, for donating his nephew's old child car seat and installing it to Skutch's car beforehand, we didn't have any problems to drive somewhere with May-chan in Japan. Thank you!





本当に適当に色々歩いてみていたんですが、本当に細々としたものがいっぱい欲しくて「あ、あれも欲しい！あ、これも！」と、終始目移りしていました。
At the mall, we just walked around and checked stores without a specific purpose, but a lot of miscellaneous things caught my eyes and made me want buy everything. Haha.




で、いくつかお店を見た後、スカッチがソワソワし始めまして、
After we walked around shopped some things, Skutch suddenly started being distracted by something and said,




「もしかすると、免許証落としたかもしれへん。」
"I might have lost my driver's license somewhere."




との事。
Oh No!!




すぐに考えられる鞄の中、駐車場に停めた車の中、お店の中で歩いた場所などを探したのですが見つかりません。もちろん、すぐにサービスカウンターに問い合わせ、連絡先を伝えておきました。
We tried to search any possible places like her bag, her car in the parking lot, all the stores and aisles where we'd been walking, but couldn't find it. Of course, we went to a service counter on the floor and reported about the lost item too.




スカッチ曰く、お店の中でズボンのお尻ポケットに入っていたのを確認した記憶があるらしく、恐らくお店の中で落としたのだろうとは予想しましたが、念のため滞在先にいるAndyっちに電話をかけて、出かける前に落としていないかを確認してもらいました。
Skutch somehow remembered that she had the driver's license in a pants pocket at one of the stores we had stopped by, so we're very sure that it's somewhere in the mall. Just in case, I also called Andy staying at the Airbnb place and asked him to check if there's the driver's license somewhere.





日本ではペーパードライバーのHit-chanですが、帰りは運転しないといけないかもと覚悟はしました。
I have a Japanese driver's license, but I didn't drive at all when I lived in Japan. Though, I was mentally prepared for the case that I'd have to drive back home when we couldn't find Skutch's driver's license there.




で、最後に行った２階にある百均のレジに聞きに言ったら、「はい、ありました。２階のサービスカウンターに届けました。」との事
After we searched possible spots, we went to the dollar shop where we stopped by last on the 2nd floor. Skutch asked the cashers there and then they said, "Yeah, we found it and sent it to the service counter on this floor."




早速教えていただいた場所で尋ねると、無事ありました。ふぅ～、良かったよ～！！
We went to the service counter again and picked up the driver's license there without a problem. Woo Hoo!!




時間にしたらそれ程でもなく、お店も平日の開店直後だったので空いており、しかも免許証なので個人情報満載なので、恐らく見つかるだろうとは予想していましたが、やっぱりちゃんと見つかってかなりホッとしました。
We're very optimistic to find the driver's license not only because it was a weekday and the stores had just opened and not so many people were there yet but also the driver's license itself had all the personal information on it, but we're still very relieved when it was really found.




ホッとした所で腹ごしらえ～。
Once we got relieved, we got hungry.





めいもいるので、気楽にいられるフードコートで。まずはおうどん。
We decided to eat at the food court because it's casual and family friendly, which was perfect for us with May-chan. We first ordered a bowl of Udon noodles.




偏食家のめい、おうどんはたまに食べてくれるのであげてみました。
The picky eater, May-chan, sometimes eats Udon noodles and sometimes doesn't. Why not? I tried to give her some.




食べてくれるかなぁ？遊ぶだけで終わりっていうパターンもあるあるなので、実際に口に入れるまでは食べてくれるか分かりません。
She sometimes just plays with foods, so you never know if she'd eat it or not until she really takes a bite.




お！食べてくれた～！！！ほんと些細なことですが、偏食家の子供を持つと、こうやって外で同じものを食べてるだけで感無量。
Oh, she ate it! You might think that I got excited for a very tiny thing, but if you have a picky-eater child, you'd understand how nice and exciting it is to enjoy a same food with your child.




日本のおうどんのお味はフードコートでも間違いなし！美味しかったよ～。
Udon noodles at a food court in Japan were still delicious! I really enjoyed them.





で、Hit-chanと言えばこれでしょ。銀だこのたこ焼きも頼みました。これはめい、食べず。
Speaking of Hit-chan, we couldn't skip this. My most favorite food, Takoyaki! Just as her face showed, she didn't take any bites of them.





熱々で美味しかったよ～。
They're freshly made and hot! Yummy!



フードコートの入り口ではお腹が空いていたので、「あ、うどんとたこ焼きとラーメンを分けたら良いなぁ。」と言っていたのに、このたこ焼きを食べた時点で結構お腹がいっぱいになったので、ここでご馳走様！
When were entering the food court, Skutch and I were saying, "Let's try and share the Udon noodles, Takoyaki and Ramen noodles!" but after we finished the Takoyaki, our bellies got full.





めいさんは折角なのでソフトクリーム！アイスクリームは食べる機会が多いけど、ソフトクリームはあんまり無いからね。
Why not? It's a special occasion, right? May-chan got a soft ice! We can get ice cream very easily in MN too, but don't see soft ice so often, so...





もちろん大ヒットで一人で一個ペロッと食べました。良かったね。
Just as I assumed, May-chan loved it and finished the whole one by herself. You're soiled, my baby!




あ～美味しかった～！と大満足して、また色んなお店をうろうろしていたら、またスカッチがソワソワし始めて、
It's very casual lunch, but still very delicious thanks to the quality of Japanese food services. After the nice lunch, we were walking around the stores again, but again




「あれ、嘘やろ？私、車の鍵どこやったやろ？」
"Oh shoot! Is it real? Where did I put my car key??"




と、おっちょこちょい再び。(笑)
Skutch started getting ratteled. LOL




今度も見つからなかったら結構大変なものなので、皆で再び捜索。
Yeah, car keys are very important and something you don't want to lose for sure. We started the second search in the mall right away.




今回はほぼほぼフードコートにしかいなかったので、フードコートをチェックして、無かったので、そのままフードコートのある階のサービスカウンターまで行きました。
We spent most of the time at the food court after Skutch saw the key last, so we headed back to the table and checked the seats. Though, we couldn't find it there, so went to the service counter on the floor again.




そしたらね、ありましたよ！サービスセンターに拾った方が届けておいてくださったみたいです。
Then, there it was!!! Somebody who had found the key kindly passed it to the service counter. Thank you!!




2回目の落とし物に関しては、失くしてから見つかるまでは5分くらいだったと思いますが、それでもやっぱり一瞬焦りましたよねぇ。
As for the second time, I think it only took 5 mins or so to find it, but we still got nervous a little bit.




いやはや、一日に大事な物を二回も落としてしまったスカッチはとっても申し訳なさそうでしていましたが、「最終的に見つかったから結果オーライ！逆にこんな出来事があると今日の事忘れへんから良いやん！」と言い合って、笑って終われたので良かったです。
Oh well, Skutch felt very sorry for losing 2 items on the same day, but we said, "We found it in the end, so it's all good! If nothing special happened, we'd probably forget about today so easily, but when we happened to such an unforgettable incident like this, we will remember today forever!" and laughed it out.




そんなこんなでビックリアクシデントがありつつも、スカッチとめいさんと三人でとっても楽しいモールデートが出来たし、スカッチが車を出してくれたお陰で色んな物も買う事ができてとっても嬉しかったです。
Even though we happened to go through 2 unexpected incidents, I really enjoyed the mall date with my lovable sister and daughter together. Also, I really appreciate Skutch for giving a ride and thanks to that, I could shop a lot of things too!
