今日は生存報告のみです(Just saying "Hi!" today)

皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How are you doing today?





さて、タイトル通り、今日は元気にやっていますよ～という報告のみです。
Just as the title says, I just want to say "Hi!" today.






ブログに書きたい事は結構あるんですが、最近、めいの就寝時間が8時から9時に1時間遅くなったのもあり、なかなかブログを書く時間を見つけるのが難しくなっております。（時間があっても、Hit-chanの体力が無いという時も多々あり。）
I have tons of things to write here, but it's been harder for me to find time to sit and write my blog than before because May-chan's bed time recently changed from 8pm to 9pm so that she can sleep through the night. (Besides that, I often don't have enough energy to write articles even if I have time.)





できるだけ書ける時に書き溜めて、目標の2日に1回の更新ペースを守っていきたいと思ってます！
I'm going to try to write as much as possible whenever I have a chance and want to keep posting a new article every other day.






ちなみに今日はメレちゃんデー。女3人、姦しく楽しく過ごしておりまーす！今日は比較的暖かい（－2度）なので、ちょっとお外でも遊びたいと思ってます。
It's Mere-chan (Baby Meredith) day! We, 3 girls, are having much fun and chat. It's relatively warm out here in MN, so I'm planning to take them out to play in snow later too.




という訳で、今日はこの辺で。皆さん、良い一日を！

１０年振りに自己紹介＆主な登場人物紹介 (My updated profile and the main characters on my blog)

How are you doing today?






先日、ふとこのブログを見返していたんですが、自己紹介記事はあるものの、１０年前に書いた記事なので現在の状況とはすっかり違ってしまっているので、今回改めて書いてみたいと思います。
I looked back my own blog the other day and noticed that the article about my profile was written about 10 years ago and the information needed to be updated. So, I want to reintroduce myself and the main characters on my blog today.












このブログを書いている、私Hit-chanです。
英語の綴りからいけば「ひっちゃん」なのですが、本当は子供の頃から呼ばれている愛称「ひとちゃん」から来ています。
Hito-chanよりもHit-chanの方が何となく見た目のバランスが良いかなぁと思って始め、今に至ります。
そんなところからも分かるかと思いますが、結構適当な性格であります。
I'm Hit-chan who's the author of this blog.
The spelling of my name in English is Hit-chan, but it actually comes from my childhood nickname, Hito-chan.
When I first started this blog, I thought that the spelling, Hit-chan, somehow looked more well-balanced than Hito-chan, and since then, I've spelled my name, Hit-chan.
From this episode, you might assume that I'm not a type A, and yes, I'm very easygoing and don't care about tiny things most of the time.




1984年生まれで出身は京都です。
2010年にAndyっちとの結婚を機にミネソタ州に引っ越してきました。
I was born in 1984 in Kyoto, Japan.
I moved to MN in 2010 to marry to Andy.




好きなものは、たこ焼き、コーヒー、お風呂、日本への里帰り、寝る事、YouTube、ワクワクする事
苦手なものは、車の運転、英語での電話、知らない人がいっぱいいるパーティー、4センチ、いや3センチ以上のカエル（特にガマガエル）
My favorites: Takoyaki, Coffee, Bath, Homecoming trips to Japan, Sleep, YouTube, Being excited
My dislikes: Driving, Talking on the phone in English, Party with lots of strangers, toads bigger than 2inches or maybe 1.5inch




このブログを始めたのは2006年11月で、最初は留学を目指して頑張っている日々の様子を綴っていたのですが、現在はミネソタでの生活を日本の家族や友達に伝える事を中心に書いています。
I started my blog in November 2006 and used to share how I was preparing for studying in the US. Now, I write about my daily life in MN so that my family and friends in Japan can see how I'm doing.













こちらがHit-chanの愛する旦那さん、Andyっちです。
Here's my loving husband, Andy.



1979年生まれ、出身はミネソタ州です。
Hit-chanとはネットで出会い、実質5週間一緒に過ごしただけで結婚を決めてくれました。
働き者で、誰にでも優しいお人です。
He's born in 1979 in MN.
We met online, and he decided to make me his life partner after we only spent 5 weeks together in person.
He's such a hard worker and has a big heart to anybody.



好きなものは、ビール、ウイスキー（ビンテージ）、車、カーレース、ステーキ、人とおしゃべりする事
苦手なものは、食器を手洗いする事
His favorites: Beer, Whiskey (Vintage), Car, Car race, Steak, Chatting with people
His dislikes: Handwashing dishes














こちらが、Hit-chanとAndyっちの愛娘、めいです。
This is our precious daughter, May/May-chan.



2018年生まれ、出身はミネソタ州です。
2年ほどに渡るミネソタでの不妊治療を経て、最終手段として京都の病院で行った体外受精が見事成功し、その後ミネソタの病院で元気に生まれました。
She's born in 2018 in MN.
Andy and I went through infertility treatment for about 2 years in MN and did IVF at a clinic in Japan as a final option. Fortunately, I got pregnant with May-chan on the first IVF in Japan and gave birth to her in MN.




好きなものは、枝豆、ダンス、外遊び、ソーセージ、動物　（2020年調べ）
Her favorites: Edamame, Dance, Play outdoor, Sausage, Animals (As of 2020)














こちらがAndyっちのご両親、ブログではパパとママと呼んでいます。
Here are Andy's parents and I call them Dad&Mom on this blog.



世界中、色んな所で義理の両親との関係に悩む人が多い中、Hit-chanは本当に恵まれています。
結婚したての頃、パパママは「自分達の事は好きなように呼んでくれたら良いよ。」と言ってくれたので、最初は2人の名前で呼んでいました。
でも、家族になって時間を過ごす内に、娘としてパパ、ママと呼ぶ方が自然になり、実生活でも英語で「Dad」「Mom」と呼んでいます。
常にHit-chanの事を温かく見守ってくれる、とても優しい存在です。
I hear that so many people have some struggles with their families-in-law, but I'm a lucky exception.
When I just moved here and became a member of this family, Dad&Mom kindly said to me, "You can call us whatever you like." So, I used to call their names.
Though, as I spend more time in the family, it's felt more natural for me to call the "Dad&Mom". So, I call them "Dad&Mom" also in my real life not only on my blog.












こちらがAndyっちの弟、ブラッド君です。
This is Andy's brother, Brad.



Andyっちの弟ではありますが、Hit-chanより2つかな？年上です。
Andyっち同様、車が大好きで常に何かしらの車を直したりしています。
我が家から車で10分もかからない場所に住んでいるので、何かあったりしたら助けに来てくれますし、何も無くても一緒にご飯を食べたりしています。
左利きでベジタリアンです。
He's Andy's younger brother, but 2 years older than I am.
He loves cars as much as Andy does and always has a car project to work on at least.
He lives less then 10 mins away from our house, so it's very reassuring for us to have him that close. He's always willing to come over whenever we need help. Even when we don't need help, we often have him over to hang out together because it's simply nice and fun.
He's left-handed and a vegetarian.






以上がこのブログの主な登場人物なのですが、もちろんこの他にも日本にいるHit-chanの家族も一時帰国した際の記事にはいっぱい登場してきます。
This is all the profile of myself and the main characters on my blog. Of course, my family and friends in Japan appear here sometimes especially when I write about home-coming trips to Japan.






ですが、皆挙げているとキリがないので、とりあえず一番頻繁にこのブログに登場する人物の紹介をさせてもらいました。
Though, it'll be tons if I don't draw a line here, so I'd like to stop here for now.

こんにちは。

どもども。










Hit-chanと申します。










中学生の頃から、アメリカに住んで働き、幸せな家庭を築く事が夢でした。










大学を中退後、学校事務職員として6年間働き、その間C型肝炎、上咽頭ガンになりました。










留学準備中にインターネットで知り合ったAndyっちの事を話してしまい、学生ビザが却下されてしまいました。









その後、Andyっちと初めて実際にカナダで3週間過ごし、2010年1月6日に正式に婚約しました。










2010年6月21日に無事婚約者ビザを取得し、30日にアメリカはミネソタ州に移住し、Andyっちのパパママのお家に居候。










その年の10月には夢のマイホームを手に入れて、Andyっちと一つ屋根の下２人だけで暮らし始めました。









TOEICのスコアは現在８７０（1回しか受けてないけど。。。）










学歴も資格もありませんが、夢とそれが叶うと信じる気持ちだけはいっぱいあります。










なので、一つずつ楽しみながら叶えていきたいと思います。










たくさんの人に愛されて、幸せ者のHit-chanです。
