誕生日旅行 (Birthday Trip 2016)

皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How's your life going today?




さて、もう結構経ちますが、1月5日はHit-chan、32回目の誕生日でした。
It's been a while, but Jan. 5th was my 32nd birthday!




で、こういう記念日と言いますか、お祝い事の時は、必ずAndyっち、忘れずにスペシャルな時間をプレゼントしてくれます。
My sweet husband, Andy, always treats me so well on a special day like birthday or anniversary, etc...




で、今年の誕生日も素敵な時間をくれました。
Of course, he gave me a wonderful time on my birthday this year again.




今回は一泊分の荷物をまとめるように言われ出発。そう、30歳の誕生日に続いてミステリーツアーです。
He told me to pack one night and we left our house. Yes, it's a mystery tour since my 30th birthday again!





途中、湖に寄り道。
On the way to the destination, we stopped by this frozen lake.





めっちゃ凍ってるよ。(笑)
Yes, it's really frozen.





なので、氷の上も歩けちゃう。
Yup, it's thick enough to walk on it.





折角だから二人で記念撮影。
And we took a pic there.



でね、やっぱりここにも連れて行ってくれました。
And, Andy took me here again. Yeah, my favorite place in a way.





カジノ！二人でいつものようにいくつかスロットをして遊んだよ。（また負けたよ、笑)
Casino! As always, we play some different fun slots. (And we lost again. haha.)




で、到着したのは、いつも泊まるWhite Fish Lodge。
And we got to the destination, White Fish Lodge in Cross lake as always.











で、連れて行ってくれたのはHit-chanが好きなレストラン。
Andy took me to one of my favorite restaurants up north for the dinner too.





























惚気やけど、世界一素敵な旦那さんやなぁと改めて実感。
Yeah, I think he's the best husband in the world. (He's the only husband I've ever had though. haha.)




プレゼントもちゃんともらったんやけど、写真を紛失。（残念！）
He gave me a present too, but I lost the picture. (oops!)




とにかく、こうやって、大切な人と一緒に日常から時々抜け出して、ゆっくりと美味しいものを食べて素敵な時間を過ごせる事が本当に幸せです。
Anyways, I sometimes get out of ordinary days and have some nice food and drink together with someone I love the most. I think that's my happiest time in my life.




毎日一生懸命働いて、Hit-chanの事をいつも考えてくれている素敵な旦那さん、Andyっちに大感謝です。
I really appreciate Andy for working so hard everyday and thinking about me anytime.




という訳で、Hit-chan32回目の誕生日の様子でした！

ささやかな新年会 (A Small New Year's Party)

皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How's your new year going so far?




Hit-chanは元気です。
Mine has been going well.




さて、2016年になってもう2か月になります。
It's already 2 months passed since 2016 started.




昨年最後の日、大晦日ですが、Andyっちと二人でささやかながらお祝いをしました。
On the New Year's eve, Andy and I had a small, but special dinner to celebrate the New Year's day.



この日Hit-chanはお仕事だったんですが、Andyっちは長いクリスマス休暇中だったので、少し遠いお魚屋さんまで新鮮な魚を買いに行ってくれました。
I was working that day, but Andy was having a long holiday vacation, so he went to Coastal Seafood to get some fresh seafood.




で、簡単だけど美味しい手巻き寿司。
It's easy, but very delicious meal, Temaki-zushi (hand-wrapped sushi).





卵焼き、きゅうりにカイワレ大根。
I prepped some fried eggs, cucumbers and Daikon sprouts.





そこに、Andyっちが買ってきてくれた、サーモン、マグロ、ホタテです。
And fresh salmon, tuna and scallops that Andy got.





Andyっちがスパークリングワインを開けてくれました。
Andy opened a bottle of sparkling wine for us.










乾杯の前に改めて感謝の言葉をお互いに贈りました。
Before the toast, we sent some words of thanks to each other.




で、ちょっとスペシャルなディナーの後は、帰国の時に手に入れてきた三丁目の夕日の2番目の作品を観て楽しみました。
After the little special dinner, we watched a Japanese movie which is one of the DVDs that I bought in Japan.




面倒くさがりなHit-chanなので、こういったイベントは流しがちになってしまうのですが、こうやってAndyっちのお陰で幸せな気持ちで2016年をスタートする事ができました。
I'm a very lazy person who tends to pass a special event like this, but thanks to my husband, I could have such a wonderful start of 2016.

皆さま、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How are you doing today?




こちらミネソタ、先日今年一番くらいの雪がドカッと降りました。
Here in MN, we got a lot of snow, probably the most this year, some days ago.



久しぶりの大雪だったので、思わず仕事場で写真をパチリ。
It was the first big snow in a while, so I took some pictures of it at work.






















さすがのミネソタ、この後結構降りましたが、翌日には道路は綺麗に雪かきされてました。感謝。
Isn't it a lot? But here in MN, people worked so hard on ploughing the snow and cleaned the roads mostly clear by the next day. Big thanks.




さて、気が付けば前回更新してからあっという間に１か月近く経ってました。
So, almost a month already passed since I updated my blog the last.




年を取るにつれて、時が過ぎるのを早く感じるようになると聞いたことがあるのですが、本当にその通りですねぇ。
As you get older, you feel time passes by quicker, that's what I heard before and I really think it's true.




ブログのデザインもずっとお正月仕様だったので、慌てて変えましたよ。(笑)
I noticed that my blog design was still New Year's celebration style, so I just changed it.




まだまだ寒いミネソタなので、「春よこーい！」という思いを込めて、イチゴのデザインにしました。
It's still cold here, so I chose the strawberry style making a wish, "Come on spring soon!"




この更新していない１か月の間ですが、Hit-chan、風邪も引かずに元気に過ごしておりました。
While I was away from my blog for almost one month, I was doing pretty well.




Andyっちは今年から仕事と両立しながら学校に通い始めたのですが、やはり大変そうです。
Andy has started going to school as working and it seems so hard.




高校以来の数学のクラスに手こずっているようですが、数学は唯一Hit-chanも一緒にやれる教科なので、Hit-chanも一緒に高校以来使っていない脳みそを使ってやったりしています。
He's been having a hard time with his math class ever since high school, but math is the only subject I could help him to solve problems, so I've been using my brain with him even since high school as well.




仕事の方も相変わらずですが、また店長が変わります。(笑)
I'm doing well on my job too, but I'll have another manager again.




カリブーで働き始めてもう４年になるんですが、今まで７人の店長がやって来て去って行きました。
I've been working at Caribou about 4 years, but I've already had 7 different managers so far.




その内の一人が友人でもあるキャットで、彼女は２年間店長をしていたので、残りの２年で６人も店長が変わった事になります。
One of them was my friend, Kat, and she worked for 2 years, so that means I had 6 different managers just in 2 years.




やっぱり、店長がコロコロ変わるとお店が落ち着かないので、次の店長はできるだけ長くいてくれると良いなぁと思ってます。
Yeah, after all, having many different managers makes the store unstable, so I wish that the next manager will stay with us longer.




まぁそんな感じで、特に何も変わらず、楽しく平和な毎日を過ごしております。
Anyways, like I just talked, my life has been just fun and peaceful.




次はもうちょっと早く更新したいよねぇ～。(笑)
I guess I should update my blog sooner next. Haha.
