風邪ひいてます。(I got a cold.)

皆さん、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How are you doing today?





Hit-chanはですねぇ、風邪ひきさん中です。
Me? Yeah, I've got a cold.





隣ではAndyっちも風邪ひきさん中です。（笑）
Next to me, Andy's not feeling well either.






何か、去年の今頃も風邪をひいていた気がしますけど。（爆）
Oh well, I remember I was sick around this time last year too.





Hit-chanとAndyっちの症状はまだ軽いので、休みの今日と明日中に何とか治してしまおうと、一日中薬を飲んで安静にしております。
We're not feeling that bad yet, so we're trying to get recovered on this weekend as taking pills and having rest all day.





クリスマス前からですねぇ、カリブーでもAndyっちの職場でも風邪ひきさん増加中の話を聞いていたので、ひかないように気を付けてたんですがねぇ。。。
We've been careful not to get sick because we've heard that many people are getting sick at work even since before Christmas.





可哀想なのは、Hit-chanの親友スカーレット、えらい風邪をひいちゃいまして、この前はフラフラで仕事に来てました。
Also, my best friend, Scarlet, got sick so bad and she barely came to work the other day.




幸い、他の子が彼女のシフトを急遽カバーしてくれたので、その日は早く帰れたんですが、仕事柄自分が病気になってもただ病休を取れば良いという訳ではないので、本当に助け合いで成り立ちますよね。
Fortunately, other girl kindly covered her shift on the day and Scarlet could leave earlier, but we really need to help each other because our job is not like "Oh, I got sick, so I'm not going to work today."






歯がゆい事に、今現在のところ、Hit-chanのポジションではスカーレットのシフトはカバーしてあげあれないんで、そこが辛いところですねぇ。
What's so hard for me is that I can't cover Scarlet's shift because she's a supervisor and I'm just a team member.





頑張って早く昇格して、いつでも困った時には誰かの助けになれる存在になりたいと思います。
I want to get promoted so that I can help anybody anytime soon.





まぁ、そういう感じで、今日は野菜たっぷりスープを作って、朝からゆっくりしているHit-chanでした。
Oh well, anyways, I made a soup with a lot of veggies and have been relaxed all day today.

ちょっとお疲れ気味です。（I'm a little bit tired lately.)

皆さん、よいクリスマスをお過ごしになられましたか？
Did you have a nice Christmas?





こちらアメリカではクリスマスは日本のお正月のような感覚なので、皆さんクリスマス辺りに連休を取ってゆっくりされます。
Here in America, Christmas is like new year's holidays in Japan, so most of people get some days off around Christmas.




Hit-chanはと言いますと、クリスマスはお店自体が休みでしたが、今がかき入れ時のお仕事なので、イブもクリスマスの次の日の今日も働いてました。
Me? The caribou was closed on Christmas day, but holidays are busy time for us, so I worked on Christmas eve and the day after Christmas which is today.




今年のクリスマスの話はまたするとして、最近Hit-chanちょっとお疲れ気味でございます。
I'll talk about Christmas later anyways. I've been kind of tired lately.





仕事ではお店の方が拡張工事中で色々な変化が起こっていまして、プライベートでもクリスマスの準備や思いがけない事などがあったので、中々ぼけ～っと過ごせる日が持てないでおります。
At work, we're expanding our store and things are changing. In my private life, we're so busy getting things ready for Christmas and had some unexpected things as well. So, I've not had a lazy day for a while.





一日中でもぼけ～っと過ごすのが大好きなHit-chanにとって、少々ストレスを感じる毎日なのですが、まぁ、風邪などはひかず元気にしております。
I really love not doing anything all day, so it's kind of stressful for me to be rushed by many things now, but I've not got a cold or something and doing so well so far.





お友達からメールをいただいてるので返信しなくちゃと思ってはいるのですが、中々できずにおり、本当すみません。
I've got some emails from my friends and been thinking to have to reply, but I don't have any energy back to do it yet. Sorry.




クリスマスも終わり、じきに普段の生活を取り戻すと思うので、少々お待ちください。
Christmas is over now, so I'll be getting back to normal life soon, so please stay patient just a little bit more.





この忙しさからなのか何なのか、Hit-chan、最近また愚痴が多くなってきておりまして、もっと気楽にご機嫌に毎日を過ごせないかなぁと、今日も思っておりました。
Since it's so busy or not, I've been complaining a lot again and wondering how I can be easier and smiling everyday. I thought about it even today.





多分、基本的に疲れてしまっているという事が大きな原因だと思いますが、どこか、感謝の気持ちを忘れていたり、物質的な物事の見方に囚われていたり、周りの人や物を考えすぎて、自分が何をやりたかったのかが霞んでしまっていたりしているのもあると思います。
Probably, I think it's basically because I'm tired now, but also because there are some other things like I forgot how lucky I am, my viewpoint got so limited in a material world or I didn't see what I wanted to do because I cared too much about others.




忙しい毎日の中、ちょっと一息ついて、自分の心と対話する時間がなかったのかもしれません。
Maybe, in this hectic days, I didn't have a chance to breathe and talk to my heart at all.





ちょっとした事でイラついてしまっても、ふと立ち止まって見れば、どれだけ自分が幸運で幸せなのかを教えてくれるたくさんのピースが、今ある生活のあちらこちらに散らばっているのに気づきます。
I got irritated by little things so easily, but when I stop and look around, I can find so many things which tell me how lucky and happy I am in where I stand now.





バシャールは「全ての事は中立であり、それに意味づけをしているのはあなた自身です。」というような事を言っていたと思います。
I remember Bashar says like "Everything is actually neutral and doesn't have a meaning itself. It's you who defines everything."





最近は、自分の置かれている状況、起こった事の多くに否定的な意味づけをしていたかもしれません。
Lately, I think I've been putting a negative meaning on many things and circumstances around me.






だから、余計に否定的だと思える事柄を自分の前に引き寄せていたのだと思います。
That's why I was attracting more things that I would negatively feel in front of me.





なので、明日から、いや、今この瞬間から、全ての物事に肯定的な意味づけをしていきたいと思います。
So, from tomorrow, no, from this moment, I want to define everything as a positive and easy thing to me.





あと、もっともっと夢を見たいと思います。
Also, I want to dream more.





いつでも、大きな夢をいつかどこかで必ず叶うとワクワク信じているのが、一番自分らしいなぁと思うので。
Because I think it's really like me having big dreams and being excited to believe them come true somewhere and sometime in my life for sure.





そういう訳で、今日はちょっとお疲れ気味のHit-chanでしたが、新年に向けて自分らしさを取り戻していきたいと思います。
So anyways, I'm kind of tired today, but I'll get myself back soon for the new year.

ツリーの飾りつけと嬉しいサプライズ。（Tree decoration and A happy surprise)

皆さん、お元気でしょうか？
How are you doing today?




Hit-chanはですねぇ、風邪もひかず元気に過ごしているんですが、やはり師走というだけあって何だかんだで忙しい毎日を過ごしております。
Me? Yeah, I've been doing good not catching a cold or something, but it's been so busy before Holidays.





でね、そんな毎日を送っている中、先日郵便受けを開けたら大きな封筒が入っておりまして、開けてみたらビックリ！
So, I'm having such busy days lately, but I found a big envelope in my mail box the other day and it was a big surprise.





Hit-chanのブログを読んでくれてるCAのさっちゃんからのプレゼントでした！
It's a present from one of my blog fans, Sat-chan in CA!!!!





いやぁ、だいぶ前に「ユニクロのヒートッテックが欲しいなぁ。」なんてメールでちょっと話してたのを覚えてくれていて、わざわざHit-chanの為に買って送ってくれたんですよ。
Oh well, she remembers that I mentioned "I really want UNIQLO's Heattech!" when we talked on email.





Hit-chan、プレゼントをした時の相手の笑顔を見るのが大好きで、基本あげたがりなんですが、逆にこうやってサプライズでプレゼントをいただくっていうのも本当に感動するし、良いもんですねぇ。
Basically, I really love a smile when I give a present to somebody, so I always like giving, but Sat-chan reminded me how happy it is to be on the side receiving a present as well.





さっちゃん、こうやってブログ書いてる今もいただいたヒートテック上下着てます！昨日は暖か靴下はいて家庭教師してきました。
Sat-chan, even now I'm writing this, I'm both in the shirt and leggings. I also put the warm socks on when I went to tutoring yesterday.



本当、ステキな感動ありがとう！！！
Thank you so much for the wonderful surprise!





さて、前回の更新からまた日が空いちゃったんですが、クリスマスツリー飾り付けしました。
Okay now, I can talk about our Christmas tree decoration.






持ってるオーナメント全部付けたんですけど、何かまだまだ足りない感じですねぇ。
We put all the ornaments we have, but it still looks we need more.




で、カリブーで働き始めてから、記念として毎年カリブーのオーナメントを買うことにしております。
Since I started working at Caribou, I've been collecting the ornaments every year.






これが昨年買ったやつ。

で、Andyっちが、家の中にもちょっとライトつけたいって言って、リビングとキッチンの間の壁をライトアップしました。
Andy wanted to put some lights inside the house, so he put some on the wall between the kitchen and the living room.





本当、ささやかなライトアップですけどね。笑
Yes, it's a little of lights.





で、クリスマスも近づいてきておりまして、ツリーの下には徐々にプレゼントが増えていっております。
So, Christmas is coming so closer and we've got presents more and more under the tree.











でね、プレゼントなんですが、基本サプライズにしたいのでAndyっちに
So, speaking of presents, we basically want them a surprise, so I told Andy




「私はこっちの部屋にプレゼント置いていくし、ハニーは向こうの部屋に置いていってな。」
"Hon, I'm going to put my presents in this room, so you want to put yours in the other room, okay?"




って地下にある２つ使ってない部屋をそれぞれ使う提案をしたら、Andyっちも、
and made a suggestion to use each of 2 unused rooms in the basement. Then, he agreed with it like




「それは良いアイデアやなぁ。分かった、了解。」
"Yeah, that's a good idea, hon. Okay. Deal."




って言って、Hit-chan、無事に協定を結んだんで、安心してプレゼントを置いてたんですよ。
So, I easily started putting my presents in one of the rooms under the agreement.





そしたら、先日、Andyっちがいきなり、
Then, some days after that, Andy suddenly told me




「ハニー、もしサプライズにしたいんやったら、プレゼントはどっか隠しておいたほうが良いで。」
"Hon, if you want to make your presents secret, you should put them away."




って、言ってきたんですよ。






私は「？？？」ってなって、
I was like "???" and said





「いやいやいや、この前私はこの部屋使って、ハニーは向こうの部屋使うから、お互い入らんようにしようなって言ってたやん！」
"Wait, wait, wait. We made the agreement to use each room in the basement for our own presents,right??? So, I've never entered your room since then!!!!"





って言ったんですよ。そしたらAndyっち、「！！！！」ってなりましてねぇ、
Then, Andy goes like "!!!!!" and said





「あっ、そうやった。忘れてた！ごめん。冬服探そうと思って部屋に入って。。。でもあんまり見てへんから！」
"Oh, S##t, yeah, that's right. Sorry, hon. I needed my winter clothes, but I didn't see your presents so much..."




ですって。
LOL





Hit-chanも、万が一部屋に入ったとしても、プレゼントは一応ダンボールに入れてすぐには見えないようにしてたんですけど、協定自体を忘れてダンボールも開けてしまうとは、ちょっと想定外でしたよ。
Yeah, just in case, I put my presents in a cardboard box so that he can't see it right away, but it's totally unexpected that Andy forgot the agreement itself and opened my box...




まぁ、プレゼントは見つかったもの以外にもあるんで良いんですけど、こんなにも忘れっぽいAndyっちにちょっと驚いてしまいました。
Anyways, I still have more presents left and it's fine, but I was so surprised how easily Andy forgets things like this.





という訳で、まだまだ忙しい日が続きそうですが、皆さんも風邪などひかずに年末年始元気に過ごしてくださいね。
Okay then, it looks like I'll still have more busy days. You guys also take care of yourself and have wonderful holidays and a new year!

クリスマスツリー狩り2012(Christmas tree hunt in 2012)

皆さんいかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How are you doing today?




Hit-chanは今日、お休みで、まだパジャマのままでおります。笑
Oh well, I'm off today and still in my pajamas again. Haha.




さて、今日は先日行ったクリスマスツリー狩りについて書こうと思います。
So today, I want to write about the day we went to Christmas hunt.





この日、よりによってかなり寒い日でございまして、車の温度計は－11℃を示しておりました。
Luckily or not, it was super cold and my car thermometer said 13F.





なので、Hit-chan、忍者のようにマスクを被り、完全防備で挑みましたよ。
So, I put the mask on like a Ninja and got prepared with the perfect protection.




今回行ったファームは初めてで、事務所からファームまでは馬車に乗っていきます。
It was the very first time we went to the farm and they used a wagon to carry us from the office to the farm.





で、今回顔出し初登場、Hit-chanの可愛い甥っ子たちです。（Andyっちのお兄ちゃんの子供達です。）
左からピアース（4年生）、キーガン（1年生）、ギャヴィン（3年生）です。

何気にHit-chan、馬車に乗るのが初めてでした。
Actually, this was the first time for me to ride on a wagon.





かなり広くて、クリスマスツリーと言っても、木の種類はいっぱいあって、このファームでは最低7、8種類あったと思います。
The farm was quite big. Speaking of Christmas tree, there is a large variety of the kinds and they had 7 or 8 kinds at the farm at least.



で、Andyっち達は自分の好きな種類がある程度分かっていたので、その種類が植えてある場所からお気に入りのものを探しました。
We briefly knew which kind we wanted, so we went to the section and looked for the best one.





めっちゃ寒かったので、Hit-chan、「もうこのちっちゃいので良いんじゃね？」って提案してみましたが、あっさり却下されました。笑
It's super cold out, right? So, I made a suggestion to Andy "Why don't we just cut this little one?", but the suggestion got declined in a moment. Haha.





で、Andyっち、気に入った気を見つけたので、自分達でのこぎりを使って切りました。
So, we found a nice one and cut it with a saw by hand.





後はファームの人がちゃんとネットで縛って、車に積んでくれました。
After that, the farm staff wrapped it with a net and carried it to our car.





で、事務所に戻ってから、皆で暖かいココアやコーヒー、クッキーをいただいたりしました。
When we're back to the office building, we enjoyed warm hot chocolate, coffee or cookie.

で、Hit-chanもボーイズに頼んで記念撮影。
I also asked them to take a picture with me.





寒い外から部屋に入ったので、カメラのレンズが曇って、ちょっとした特殊効果みたいになったよ。
（ボーイズたち、何回も撮ったのに、嫌がらずポーズとってくれて優しかった～。）
We entered a warm room from outside, so my camera lens got misted up like special effect.
(I asked the boys to take pics over and over, but they were so sweet and kindly let me do it.)




で、この後皆でランチを食べて、それが終わった時にギャヴィンが、
After that, we had lunch together and before we left, Gavin asked me




「ねぇねぇ、Hitomi、もしお母さんが良いって言ったら、家で一緒にゲームしてくれる？」
"Hey, Hitomi! If my mom says okay, do you want to play Xbox Kinect with us?"





って。






という事で、その後、Andyっち達が家にツリーを運んだりしている間、ボーイズたちとXboxっていう、Wiiみたいなゲームで遊びました。
So, while Andy and Ray&Mary carried the trees to our house and Brad's house, I played Xbox together with the boys.




コントローラーを使ってやるゲームじゃなくて、自らの体を使って遊ぶので、Hit-chanおばちゃん、次の日しっかり筋肉痛になってましたよ。爆
We used our bodies instead of a controller to play it, so Auntie Hitomi's body got super sore the day after. Haha.




それにしても男の子3人集まると本当にすごいエネルギーで、このエネルギーを毎日浴びているママも体力が要るなぁとしみじみ感じました。
Oh my, when the 3 boys are gathered, the energy gets super hyper. I easily assume that their mom needs a lot of energy to deal with it everyday. Haha.





でもでも、皆本当に可愛くて（可愛いって言ったら嫌がられるかなぁ？）、その笑顔にめちゃくちゃ癒されました。
Anyways, they were so cute (They might not like being told cute though.) and their smiles made me so happy.




ピアース、ギャヴィン、キーガン、また一緒に遊ぼうね～！！！
Pierce, Gavin, Keagan! Let's play together again!!!





という訳で、今年のクリスマスツリーも見事ゲットしまして、次は飾りつけ編をお送りしたいと思います。
Okay, this is how we got a nice Christmas tree this year. I'll talk about how we decorated it next.
