皆、本当に優しい。 (Everybody is so Sweet to me!)

皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How are you doing today?




こちらミネソタ、ここ1週間ほど本当に良いお天気が続いています。
Here in MN, it's been so sunny out this week.




その前は結構雨が続いていたので、この１週間は気持ちも晴れる感じです。
Before that, we got a lot of rain, so this sunny days have made my heart sunny too.




さて、今日はお仕事がお休みで、今言ったようにお天気も良かったので、またウォーキングに行ってきました。
I'm off today and it's nice out, so I took a walk on the trail again.














またカメラを持っていくのは荷物になるので、携帯で撮りました。
My camera was too much to walk with, so I took those pic with my phone.



このトレイルはほぼ真っすぐで平らな道なので、本当に歩きやすいです。
This trail is pretty much straight and even, so it's very easy to walk on.



トレイル近くの駐車場に車を停めて、そこから30分くらい歩いてみました。
I drove to a parking ramp near the trail and walked from there about 30 mins.




途中、若くて綺麗なお姉さんが颯爽と走っていくのを見て、「恰好良い～！」と思ったので、戻りの道はちょっと走ってみる事にしました。
On the way, I saw this very young and beautiful girl running very elegantly and it made me feel like running like her. So, I tried to run on the way back to the parking ramp.



そりゃあ、綺麗なお姉さんに比べたらかなりのスローペースでしたが、とにかく歩かないという事を目標に走れるところまで走ってみました。
Compared to the lady, I ran so slow, but I just tried to do it as long as I could anyways.



結果、帰り道は歩かずに25分かけて戻る事ができました。
As a result, I could run all way through back to the parking ramp without any stop.



Hit-chan、小さい頃はクラスで１、２を争うくらい足は速かったものの、長距離は全くダメでした。
To be honest, I could run the fastest in my class when I was a child, but I hated a long-distance run.



なので、こうやって自分から決めて走ってみるなんて、本人もちょっと驚いています。(笑)
So, this surprises myself very much that I proactively tried to run!



このまま無理なく続けていければ最高です。
I wish I could keep running at my own pace like this.




さて、今日のタイトル「皆、本当に優しい。」という事ですが、最近たて続けに２つもサプライズプレゼントをいただいたんですよ。
Anyways, speaking of the title "Everyone is so sweet to me", I actually got 2 surprise presents from different individuals recently.





じゃじゃ～ん！！
Ta-da!



このブログでも何回か書いてるんですが、Hit-chan、Hard Rock Cafeというレストランが販売している服が好きでコレクションしてるんです。
I've mentioned about this on my blog before, but I've collected Hard Rock Cafe's shirts.



で、このTシャツなんですが、実はAndyっちのボスがわざわざフロリダのオーランドに行った時に買ってきてくれたんですよ！
And I got this shirt from Andy's boss! She was in Orland and stopped by Hard Rock Cafe there for me!!



出張だったのか、バケーションだったのか分かりませんが、旅先で部下の奥さんの事を思い浮かべてくれるなんてビックリ＆感動ですよ。
I don't know if she's there for work or vacation, but can't you believe that somebody thinks about his/her colleague's spouse???



彼女はAndyっちの直属のボスで、Andyっちはいつも「良いボスや～。」って言ってるくらい素敵な方なのです。
Andy's working directly under her and he always says "She's such a graet boss."



もちろん、すぐにサンキューカードを書いてAndyっちに渡してもらったら、それを読んですごく感動してくださったらしいです。
Of course, I asked Andy to give her my thank-you card and she got surprised and really loved it too.



その数日後、またまたサプライズプレゼントがHit-chanの手に。。。
Some days after, believe or not, I got another surprise present in my hands!




じゃじゃ～ん！
Ta-da!!



こちらは、なんとAndyっちの直属ボスのボス、つまりはさっきのTシャツをくださったボスのボスからなのです。
This is from Andy's boss's boss which means he's the boss of the boss who gave me the first shirt.



しかもこれは、ジャマイカのHard Rockのもの。
This is all the way from Jamaica!!!



まさか、Hit-chanのコレクションにジャマイカのものが加わるなんて夢にも思っていませんでした。
I've never imagined that I could add one from Jamaica to my collection.



このAndyっちのボスのボスも、ジャマイカにいる時に部下の奥さんの事を思い浮かべてわざわざ買ってきてくださったのです。
He also thought about me who's pretty much a stranger to him in Jamaica and got the shirt for me.



なんで、皆こんなに優しいの～！！！
Why is everybody so sweet to me????



こうやってAndyっちの会社の方が素敵なプレゼントをくださるのも、Andyっちが普段から出張でHard Rock Cafeを見つける度に、
Obviously, one of the reasons why they did the very nice thing to me is because my sweetest husband, Andy always asks them to stop by every Hard Rock location on his business trip telling them




「ごめん、何はなくとも、Hard Rockには寄らせて！！」
"I don't care about other things, but I gotta stop here fore sure!!"




と言って、皆に待ってもらって、Hit-chanの為に服を買ってきてくれているからなのです。
and got me something there.




それに、Andyっちが毎日会社で頑張って働いて、その頑張りを皆さん認めてくださっているのだと思います。
Apparently, besides that, he works so hard for the company and everybody recognizes and appreciate it too.




本当、こうやって皆さんにもらった優しさのバトン、Hit-chanもどこかの誰かに繋げていけるようにしたいと思います。
Oh my, I don't know how, but I'd definitely like to pass this baton of love to somebody somewhere.




そんな訳で、相変わらず甘やかされているHit-chanでした！！

初ウォーキング (My First Walk In MN)

How's it going?



Hit-chanは元気です。
I'm doing pretty good.



この前ちょっとだけブログにも書いたのですが、最近頑張ってエクササイズを続けていまして、自分でも意外な事に３週間以上続いております。(笑)
I mentioned a little bit about this on my blog the other day, but I've been doing work out at home and it's been over 3 weeks so far. Yeah, I'm the one who's surprised the most that I could keep doing it that long! Haha.




家にはパパママから譲り受けた室内バイクがあって、それに乗ったりしているんですが、ミネソタも夏に入って気持ちの良いお天気の日が多くなってきました。
We actually have an indoor bike which Dad&Mom gave us while ago and I've often used it last some weeks, but we've got more sunny days here in MN lately.




なので、昨日、Andyっちとファーマーズマーケットに行った後、家まで歩いて帰る事にしたんです。
So, I decided to walk back home from the farmer's market yesterday.




事前に家からファーマーズマーケットの距離を調べたんですが、片道で4.3マイル（6.9㎞）だったので、さすがに往復は辛いと思って、帰りだけ歩いてみる事にした訳です。
I googled about the distance from our house to the market and it said 4.3miles (6.9km). I thought it'd be too long for me to take a round trip, so I planned to take the one way trip.










日本にいた頃は結構ウォーキングをしていたんですが、何故だかミネソタに来てからは1回もしてなかったんですねぇ。
I used to walk a lot and pretty often whan I was in Japan, but I've never done that since I moved here.




トレイルを歩きます。
This is a trail that I walked on this time.




車ではすぐ傍にある車道を何度も走っているんですが、このトレイルに来るのは初めて。（ウォーキング自体初めてだから、当たり前だけど。）
Of course, I've drove by the trail million times, but this was my first time actually walking on it. (Yeah, no doubt about because this was my first walk anyways.)




橋があるのも知らなかったし。
I actually didn't know that there was a bridge here.





橋から見える湖がこんなに綺麗なのも知らなかったし。
And I didn't know that you can see this beautiful view from the bridge either.



トレイルですが、ウォーキングしている人、ジョギングしている人、犬の散歩をしている人、そして自転車に乗っている人とすれ違いましたが、そんなに混んでいる訳でもなく、ちょうど良い感じでした。
On the trail, I crossed some walkers, joggers, doggie lovers and bikers, but it was not crowded at all and I really liked it.




トレイルを抜けて、家に続く道へ。この橋も車では何度も通っているのに、歩いて通るのは初めて。
I went apart from the trail and switched into the road leading to my house. I'd never walked across the bridge either.




最近、橋の名前の看板が立てられて、その名も「コーヒー橋」。Hit-chanにピッタリですな。
They actually put the sign of the bridge name recently. The name is "Coffee Bride" and prefectly fits me!




コーヒー橋からの景色も綺麗だよ。ボートに乗っている人、釣りをしている人がたくさんいたよ。
The view from the Coffee Bride was also pretty. I saw many people hanging out on boats and fishing under the bridge.




トレイルを離れた後、普通の道はこんな感じなので、できるだけ端に寄って歩くようにしました。
The roads to my house from the trail is like this which doesn't have much space to walk on, so I tried to stay on the side and let car drivers have enough space.

で、1時間20分かけて家に帰ってきました。
So, it took 1 hour and 20mins for me to walk back home.



このコースは片道だけで6.9㎞あって、時間も1時間20分かかるので普段歩くのには向いていませんが、毎週1回、ファーマーズマーケットの後に歩くには良いかなぁと思います。
This course has 4.3miles in one way and that's a little bit too long for me to walk daily, but it'd be nice if I can walk there every week after the farmer's market shopping.



家の近くで、もう少し短い距離で30分から40分歩ける良いコースがないか、近々探索してみたいと思います。
So, I'll still want to explore in my neighbor if there's any good and easy route for 30-40min walk.




アメリカに来てからは車社会なので、車ではあっという間なのに歩いてみると結構距離があるんだと実感します。
I don't walk much after I moved here since you just drive everywhere, but when you walk, you'd notice that there's a quite distance on a route you usually drive.



やっぱり、室内バイクに乗っているだけよりも、空の色、風の匂い、木々の音などを楽しめるので、もっともっと外でのウォーキングを楽しみたいと思います。
After all, compared to just riding an indoor bike, walking outside has more entertaiment like the color of sky, the smell of wind or sound of trees. So, I definitely want to enjoy walking outside from now on.



それに、冬になったら寒すぎるし、足場も悪くなるし、今のうちに目一杯歩いておかないとね。
Besides that, MN winter is too cold and the roads get too slippery for walk, so I better enjoy walking outside when I can!



という訳で、ミネソタで初のウォーキングでした！

ファーマーズマーケット (Farmer's Market)

皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How are you doing?



あっという間に6月です。
It's already June!



何度も口にしているんですが、本当に時が経つのが速い！！！
I know that I've said this million times, but time flies so quick!!!!



今月末でミネソタ移住７周年を迎えます。カリブーで働いて５年７か月になりました。
At the end of this month, I'll have my 7th anniversary since I moved here and it's been 5 years and 7months that I've worked at Caribou for.



さて、今朝、Andyっちと近所のファーマーズマーケットに行ってきました。
Anyawys, Andy and I went to the local farmer's market in our neighbor this morning.



Andyっちはここ何週か一人で行って、野菜を買ったりしていたんですが、Hit-chanは初参加です。
Andy's been there a couple of times by himself, but this was my first time to check it out.




家から車で５分くらいです。
It's only 5min drive from our house.




かなりこじんまりとしたマーケットで、お店は全部で１０店くらいかな。
It's pretty small and there were about 10 tents.

今日の戦利品
Here is what we got this morning.




新鮮な苺から作ったストロベリーマフィンとチョコレートチップマフィン
Strawberry Cookie Muffins which are made with fresh strawberries and Chocolate chip muffin




ビール石鹸！（ビールと言えばAndyっちにと購入しました。）
Beer soap!! (Speaking of beer, my husband loves it, so I got one for him.)




玉子！農家の方が育てている鶏の玉子なので、色も大きさもバラバラ！新鮮で美味しそう～！
Fresh Farmer's Eggs!! They are all different colors and sizes, but look so delicious!




この写真で分かるように、緑の玉子もあったよ。
As you can see it in this pic, there were a couple of Green eggs too.



この玉子でオムレツを作るのが楽しみです。
I can't wait to make omelet with these eggs.



この他にも、バジルの苗とラディッシュを野菜のお店で買いました。
Besides ones above, we also got some basil plants and radishes.



今回は買わなかったですが、メイプルシロップのお店やその場でパンケーキを焼いているお店もありました。
We didn't buy anything from them this time, but there were maple syrup shop or freshly made pancake shop as well.



この後、すぐ横にあるホームセンターでBBQ用の炭や除草剤などを購入。
After that, we shopped at True Value's for charcoal and weed killer.



本当にこじんまりとしたマーケットで滞在時間は２０分くらいでしたが、地元の人と交流ができて楽しかったです。
The market itself was pretty small and simple and we only took 20mins to check everything out, but I had a really good time to meet local farmers there.



で、Andyっちとここでお別れして、Hit-chanは一人行動をすることに。。。
After the shopping, I said bye to Andy and explored more about our local area by myself.

という訳で、休日の朝の素敵な過ごし方でした！！
Anyways, it was a very nice way to spend the morning of my day off.
