さて、長々とめいを連れて初めて帰った日本旅行記を書いておりますが、もうすぐ終わりに近づいております。
Okay, I've been writing May-chan's first Japan diaries for a while here, but it's getting close to the end.
今日はその第21弾ですが、あと2つくらいでこのシリーズも終わりそうです。
This is vol.21 of that, and I think there's a couple of articles left.
先日、こちらの記事で話しているのですが、Hit-chanが日本に帰る度に会うお友達の中に、Hit-chanの事を生まれる前から知っている母のママ友さん達3人がいます。
The other day, I wrote about this on this article, but I have 3 ladies who are my mom's friends and have known about me since before I was born, and every time I go back to Japan, I try to see them.
できれば皆一緒に集まる事が理想だったんですが、皆の体調や仕事のスケジュール、そんでもって天候（台風）の事もあって、今回は結局2つに分かれて別々にお会いする事になりました。
I wished that I could see them all at once, but due to a couple of reasons, thier medical condition, work schedule and also the weather (Typhoon), I ended up setting 2 different dates to hang up with all of them in 2 separate groups.
さっきも紹介したこちらの記事では、母のママ友3人の中の1人、三科さんとは先にお会いしていたんですが、残りの2人のママ友とはその数日後にお会いする事ができました。
On this article, I shared one of the dates with Mishina-san, and some days after that, I could see the rest of the mom friends.
今回もいつものようにメンバーの1人Aさんのお宅をお借りしたんですが、キャリアウーマンで活躍されているAさん、今回「いつがご都合よろしいですか？」というメールを送ったら、
Thankfully, A-san let us use her house to have this small party at, and when I emailed her to ask, "When are you available for the party?" then she emailed me back saying,
「今、イタリアで学会に参加しているのですが、〇日には日本に戻っています！」
"I'm in Italy for a work conference, but will be back on XX!"
と、一度は言ってみたいセリフのような返事が返ってきました。(笑)
Yeah, it sounds really cool, doesn't it? I wish I could say the line sometime in my life. LOL
その後、一度は日程が決定したものの当日にちょうど台風が来ましてキャンセルになってしまい、ミネソタに帰る日を3日後に控えた10月3週目の土曜日、何とかかんとかスケジュール再調整して、無事にめいお披露目会？が開催されました。
Anyways, I arranged everybody's schedule and set up a day for the party once, but we had to cancel it on the day because of typhoon. So, I rearranged everybody's schedule again and barely could make it happen on the 3rd Saturday of October which was 3 days before May-chan and I left for MN.
今回も持ち寄りで美味しそうな食事が並びました。
It was a pot luck party.
Hit-chanはグワカモレを作りました。本当は塩味のトルティーヤチップスも一緒に持って行きたかったんですが、日本のスーパーでは見つけられませんでした。
I made guacamole. I actually wanted to bring tortilla chips with it too but couldn't find them at a couple of grocery stores that I checked.
なので、代わりにバゲットを買っていきました。
So, I brought a baguette instead.
志津屋の美味しいパンも用意してくれていました。
A-san nicely got some bread from a famous bakery in Kyoto, Shizuya.

Nice to meet you!!
この時はまだハイハイしかしてなかったから、そこまで色んな物を触って遊ぶという心配は無かったかな。
May-chan was only crawling at the time, so I didn't have to worry about her touching everything as much as I do now.
Dさんから頂いたこの絵本が大ヒット！
May-chan fell in love with this music book from D-san!
絵本に付いているボタンを押すと童謡が再生され、曲の種類も6曲あって楽しめるんですねぇ。
The book has 6 buttons, and if you press one, it plays a song. There are 6 buttons which means 6 songs to play.
めいが自分でボタンを押す事ができるので、本当に喜んで、ミネソタに持って帰ってきても一時期毎日のようにボタンを押してました。
May-chan really loved it because she can play songs by herself. We, of course, brought it back home in MN, and May-chan played with it every single day literally.
ただ、本は読むだけじゃなくてページを齧るので、今ではもうボロボロになってしまいました。（涙）
Though, she also likes to chew books as well, so unfortunately, the book is now very worn out.
やっぱりね、めいがいるとゆっくりお話しするのが難しくってね、何を話したのか全然覚えてないんですよねぇ。
At the party, it was a little hard to sit and talk with everybody when I have May-chan with me. So, I don't remember much of what we spoke about.
それぞれの家族の近況とかだったかな。
I think that we just updated each other on how our families were doing.
まぁ、とにかく皆で集まる事ができ、めいを紹介する事ができて良かったです。
Anyways, it was really nice that we could gather and I could introduce May-chan to them.
また、次に会えるのを楽しみにしてますよ～！！
I'm really looking forward to seeing you guys again!!
