How are you doing today?
さて、今日も我が家の夏バケーションの様子をお届けしたいと思います。
Okay, here's more about my family's summer vacation.
この日は良いお天気。
It's another nice day.
この日の朝から、Andyっちとパパママはゴルフに出かけ、仕事のオンライン会議があったブラッド君とめい＆Hit-chanは家に残っておりました。
Dad&Mom and Andy went to play golf in the morning and Brad who had a work zoom-meeting and May-chan&I stayed home.
この日のめいはやる気があって、朝のお勉強の時間をスムーズに終えて2人でコーヒータイム。
On the day, May-chan was fully motivated and finished her study-time very smoothly. So, we had a coffee to take a break after.
その後、めいがやりたいと言うのでUNOをしました。
Then, May-chan wanted to play UNO, so we played it.
我が家にはUNOはないのですが、めいさんYMCAのプリスクールで遊んだらしく、結構ちゃんとルールを知っていて、自分の手札を全て相手に見せるという以外は、特に問題なくゲームを楽しめました。
We don't have the cards, but May-chan learned the rule at YMCA preschool and played the game pretty well other than that she generously opened her hand to me.
多分10回以上やったんですが、負けても怒る事はなく、ちゃんと「おめでとう～！」と相手に言えていたので、その成長に感心しました。まぁ、その日の気分でできたりできなかったりなんですけどね。
We actually played UNO more than 10 times and she didn't get upset and told me "Congratulations!!" even when she lost, which made me feel she had been getting mentally mature too. Oh well, she still can't always be nice like that though.
その後、「蚊がいるかもしれないから、行きたくない。」というめいを説得してお散歩。
After the fun UNO time, I convinced May-chan to go for a walk though she was saying, "I don't wanna go out because there might be mosquitos!!"
初日にウォーキングに行った時よりかは蚊はマシでしたが、それでも気を抜いたら刺されるので油断はできませんでした。
There were much less mosquitos than when I tried to walk around on Day 1, but still there were some. We had to keep our eyes on around.
この日も蚊はいたんですが、それよりも2匹のハエがずーっと頭の上を飛んでついてきたのが鬱陶しかったです。
（めいさん、持っていたジップロップバッグで頭をカバーしながら歩いていました。）
Not only mosquitos were bothering us that day but also horse flies were flying over our heads all the time.
(May-chan protects her head with a ziplock bag from the horse flies.)
その後、めいはパソコンゲーム、Hit-chanは昼寝をしていたら、Andyっちとパパママが帰宅。
After the walk, May-chan played games on her laptop and I took a nap. Then, Dad&Mom and Andy came home.
で、ママ、Andyっち、めい、Hit-chanでスーパーへ買い物に。
Then, Mom, Andy, May-chan and I went to a grocery store.
いやぁ、どれも物価高でビックリしました。
Oh well, I knew the recent economic inflation, but still the price increase was crazy.
帰りに店の前を歩いていると、めいが「あっ！ハチドリがいる！」と指さして教えてくれました。
When we're walking back to our car, "Hey, it's a Hummingbird!!" May-chan pointed to the pots sitting outside.
めいのお陰で久しぶりにハチドリを見れて、ハッピーな気分になりました。
Wow, it was!! Thanks to May-chan for finding the bird of happiness, I felt very happy.
ちなみにこの日の夕食は、皆はハンバーガー、Hit-chanは野菜不足だったのでサラダとバナナを食べました。
Dinner of the day was hamburgers. I was lack of veggies, so I ate salad and a banana.
で、8時からムービーナイト。
At 8pm, we started a movie night.
今回観た映画はめいには少し難しかったのですが、何とか最後まで頑張って観ていました。
The movie was a little bit difficult for May-chan to understand, but she did her best to keep up with it.
映画の後、めいはベッドに行って、皆はもう一本同じシリーズの映画を観ていましたが、Hit-chanはブログを書いて過ごしました。
After the movie, May-chan went to bed, everybody else watched another movie and I wrote my blog.
という訳で、我が家の夏バケーション4日目はこんな感じでございました。
