ハーバー・ウオーク

12月15日(土)快晴

海辺の散歩道（プロムネード）はケアンズ空港のマングローブ林から岬のシャングリラ・ホテルまでの3ｋｍですが、その先に港の散歩道(ハーバー・ウオーク)が続いています。現在のところヒルトン・ホテルまでの500ｍだけですが、更にその先の外国船ターミナル、そしてフィッシャーマンズ・ワーフ(漁港)へと延長工事中です。ヨット・ハーバーに沿って高級レストランが並び、日本人新婚旅行客が多く、時代物のメロドラマのようにぎこちなくベタベタしているのでやや近寄り難い雰囲気。

Harbor Walk
Sat. December 15 : fine

3km Promnade starts from the mangrove forest at Cairns Airport and ends at Hotel Shangri-la on the cape. Then, Harbor Walk follows. At present the first 500m of it has been completed up until Hilton Hotel and after there, up to the overseas passenger terminal and the fisherman’s wharf has been under construction. There are classy restaurants along the yacht harbor and many Japanese tourists on their honeymoon use them. They are flirt but incompletely like couples in an old melodrama, so it’s pretty hard for me to approach there.
