サーフィン・クラブ

5月6日（火）快晴

ケアンズはグレート・バリア・リーフに囲まれているので高い波が無く、従ってサーフィンはできません。ボディー・ボード、ウインド・サーフィン、カイト・サーフィンで我慢するしかありません。ところがポート・ダグラスのヨット・ハーバーでサーフィンに興ずるカニを発見。落ち葉に4本の短い脚でしがみつき、残る4本の長い脚でパドリング。さすがは豪州のカニです。不覚にも胸が熱くなりました。

Surfing crab
Tue. May 6 : fine

As Cairns is surrounded by the Great Barrier Reef there are no big waves and therefore, you cannot enjoy surfing. You have to make do it with body boarding, wind surfing, or kite surfing. Believe or not we found a crab that was enjoying surfing at the yacht harbor in Port Douglas. Catching a leaf by his 4 short legs he paddled with other 4 legs of him. It’s nothing else but Australian crab. Unexpectedly it felt heart-warming.
