How are you doing today?
さて、6月下旬のある日、Andyっちが、「今日さぁ、コモ植物園行ってみるってのはどう？」
って聞いてきたので、「おー、良いね！」
と久しぶりに行ってみる事にしたんです。
So, one day in the end of June, "What about going to Como conservatory today?" Andy asked. "Oh, that sounds good!" I answered and we decided to have some family time that day.
このコモ植物園、実は我が家にとって結構思い出深い特別な場所でして、Andyっちがプロポーズしてくれたのも、めいが生まれて初めて親子3人でお出かけしたのも、この場所でした。
For our family, Como conservatory is a very memorable place, and Andy made a proposal to me there and also our very first family event after May-cnan joined the family was also a visit at this place.
この日は月曜日でまぁまぁ良いお天気でした。
It was Monday and kind of a nice day.
まぁまぁ良いお天気って言ったのは、この日、実は結構肌寒かったんですよ。
I said that it's kind of a nice day because it was pretty chilly that day.
で、現地に着いて、予想以上の車の多さにちょっと嫌な予感。。。（植物園からこんな離れた場所に車止めたの初めてだったよ。）
We're actually very surprised that there were so many cars already there. (We'd never parked our car that far from the building.)
それでもとりあえず、植物園の方向に歩いて行きました。
Anyways, we headed to the conservatory.
で、めいさん、植物園に行くまでの道中、タンポポを見つける度にこうやって立ち止まってタンポポを摘むので、中々前に進まない！(笑)
Well, May-chan wanted to make a stop at every single dandelion in the street on the way, so we took a lot of extra time to get there. LOL
考えてみれば、この植物園に来るのはいつも寒い季節。雪がない時期にくるのは今回が初めてでした。
When I look back, we'd never been to the conservatory in a warm season.
いつも入れる植物館の入り口は閉まっていて、「コモ植物園、コモ動物園の入り口はこちら」という看板が一杯立っていました。
The entrance which was usually available was closed, and there were many signs saying, "The entrance of Como conservatory and zoo this way" instead.
で、看板の方向に行くにつれ人が増えていって、入り口には長い行列が。。。
As we followed the signs, we ran into more people, and at the entrance, there's a long line.
一応行列に並んだんですが、並んですぐに後ろの人が違う人に、「予約取った？」と言っているのを聞いて、「あれ、予約要るんや。」とその時に気づいた次第。
We stood in the line first, but shortly after, we heard someone saying, "Did you guys get reservation?" to others and learned, "Oh, we needed to make reservation..."
多分コロナの影響なのか、予約が無いと植物園にも動物園にも入れなかったようです。
I assume that it was due to COVID-19 pandemic, we needed a reservation to enter either the conservatory or the zoo. Dang!
植物園と動物園の入り口が一緒になっていたんですが（普段は別々）、どう見ても皆動物園の方に向かっていて、植物園は見る限りほとんど人がいなかったんですよ。
The entranced for the conservatory and the zoo were combined in one (Usually they're separate.), but it's obvious that the majority of the people were going to the zoo, and only a few people were going to the conservatory.
まぁ、予約を取って人数制限している間は仕方がないと思うのですが、「あんなに空いてんのに～！」と、めっちゃ空いている植物園に入れないというのは切なかったですねぇ。
I understand that it's easier for them to manage the entrance to limit the number of visitors, but it's kind of disappointing only looking at the empty conservatory from the outside.
そんな訳なので、植物園の周りを歩いてみる事にしました。
Well, we're already there, so why not? We decided to walk around the conservatory instead.
植物園の周りも公園のようになっていて、綺麗なお花も一杯咲いていました。
The area was like a park, and we could enjoy some flowers blooming there too.
で、こんなオシャレスポットがあったので、ちょっと行ってみました。
We found this little fancy spot and stopped by there.
ここから見える景色はこんな感じ。
The view from the spot looked like this.
人工の河があって、ちょうど河の真ん中に主がいました。
There's an artificial stream running through and something sitting in the middle of it.
カエルさん。Hit-chanが苦手な生き物。(笑)
Oh, it's a frog, which I'm kind of scared of. LOL
一応、めいちゃんのお弁当を持って行ったので、この場所で食べる事に。
I brought a lunch box for May-chan and gave it to her at the spot.
ちょっと寒かったのと、あんまりお腹が空いていなかったようで、ちょっとだけ食べて終了。
It was chilly plus she didn't seem hungry at the time, so she only took some bites and finished.
やっぱり寒かったのと、めいが家に帰りたがったので、この日はこんな感じで植物園（の周り）から帰路に着きました。
Again, it was kind of cold that day and May-chan wanted to go home, so we headed back to our house.
そんな訳で、家族3人で久しぶりに行ったコモ植物園ですが、残念ながら中に入る事はできませんでした！
It was the first event which we did only with 3 of us in a long time, but it's too bad that we couldn't go in the conservatory.
とは言え、久しぶりに家族3人の時間を持つ事ができたので嬉しかったです。
Still, I'm glad that we could have a nice family time anyways.
また、もっと空いている時にリベンジしようと思います！(笑)
I do want to go there again whenever they're less busy. Haha.
