Hit-chanは元気ですよ。
I'm doing pretty good.
さて、Hit-chanの大事な友人の一人で、現在空軍に所属してテキサスで頑張っているフランキーですが、７月に短い休みを利用してミネソタに帰ってきてくれました。
So, one of my wonderful friends, Franki, who's serving in the Air force in Texas came back home from Texas using her summer break in July.
フランキーが帰ってきたという事で、集まれる仲間で、フランキーとよく行っていたバッファローワイルドウィングで再開ディナーをしました。
She's back in town, so some close friends gather to have some fun time together with her at our usual place, Buffalo Wild Wings.
Hit-chan、この日野菜を食べたかったので、ラップをオーダー。
I wanted to have some veggies that day, so I ordered this wrap.
店員さんが記念写真を撮ってくれました。
The kind server took a pic for us.
フランキーの妹さん、マリーが頼んだチョコケーキ。横に座っていたHit-chanも少しもらっちゃいました。
Franki's sister, Marie, joined us this time and she ordered a chocolate cake. I was sitting next to her and she let me have some bites.
久しぶりに会ったフランキー、やっぱり毎日のトレーニングの成果が出ていて、体つきも筋肉質になってました
I saw Franki after several months, I could tell that she's worked out every day and gained some muscle.
話を聞くと、やっぱり家族が恋しいし、ミネソタが恋しいと言っていました。
She was saying she missed her family and home so much.
早くミネソタに帰ってきて、家族の近くにいられるようになったら良いんですが、やはりそこまでいくにはもう少し時間がかかりそうです。
I wish she could come back home and stay closer to her family as soon as possible, but it sounds like she still needs to wait a while patiently.
色々な事情があって、経済的に大学へ行けなかったりする場合、こうやってフランキーのように軍に入って頑張る人はたくさんいると思います。
I heard that many people who have some difficulties and can't afford to go to college or something serve in military like Franki.
日本の自衛隊もそうだと思いますが、軍に入ると、お給料をもらいながら色んな資格や免許、大学の単位などが取れたりするんです。
I think it applies to Japanese Self-defense forces, but you can get many different kinds of license, qualifications or college degree as serving in military here.
だから、フランキーも軍にいる間に色んな事を身につけて、何年か後に一回りも二回りも大きくなってミネソタに帰ってきて欲しいです。
So, I hope that Frank will learn as much things as she likes in the Air force now and come back to MN with more confidence and skill a few years later.
やっぱり大変な事も色々あるし、人一倍家族思いのフランキーにとって、家族と離れて過ごすのは何より寂しいと思います。
I understand that she still has to deal with some hard times, especially being away from her dearest family.
Hit-chanが何かしてあげられる訳でもないんですが、テキサスにお手紙を書いたり、フランキーが帰ってきた時にはこうやって会って、「ここが帰る場所だよ～。」と感じてもらえるように楽しい時間を共有したいです。
There's not much that I can do for her at this point, but I want to write to her constantly and whenever she's back to town, I'd like to make a wonderful time with her so that she can feel like being home for sure.
そして何より、フランキーの夢が一日でも早く叶うように願っています。
And of course, I'm hoping that her dream will come true as soon as possible.
という訳で、頑張るフランキーに勇気をもらったHit-chanでした！
Anyways, I got inspired and motivated by Franki trying so hard to make her dream come true!
