皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How are you doing today?
さて、長々と書き続けてきた我が家の独立記念日の過ごし方ですが、今日でやっと最後です。
I've been writing about our family's 4th of July vacation for a while, but be excited! This is the last article about it.
最終日の午前中はパパママと一緒にミニゴルフをしました。
On the final day, we enjoyed mini golf together with Dad&Mom.
その後、パパママが借りているお家に戻ってランチ。
After the fun morning, we're back to the rental place and had an easy lunch.
またいつものピザ屋さんのカシューチキンサラダ食べてました。(笑)
We got a take out from the usual pizza place, and I had their Cashew Chicken Salad as always. Haha.
この後パッキングをして、車に全ての荷物を積み込んで、家路に着く前にパパママの現在建設中の新居を見せてもらいました。
Then, Andy and I packed and moved everything into the car and on the way back home, we swung by Dad&Mom's new cabin under construction.
Andyっちやめいは見た事があったんですが、Hit-chanはこの日初めて新居の様子を見る事に。
Andy and May-chan had seen it before, but it was my first time to see the cabin.
わおー、凄い！何も無かった所に家が建っている！
Wow! A big house appeared where there had been nothing.
早速、家の中に入ってチェック。
We went into the house too.
写真でも分かるかと思うのですが、新居のリビングエリアには大きな窓が一杯あります。素敵～！
As you can see it in this picture, there were the big windows in the living room area, which I loved a lot.
めいも大興奮！
May-chan was so excited too!
このバスルームの床のタイルはAndyっちが手がけました。
Andy did these tiles in the bath room on his own.
これはキッチンスペース。この後パパママが頑張って棚を取り付けました。
This is the kitchen space. After that day, Dad&Mom installed kitchen cabinets by themselves.
こちらはランドリールーム。広くて日が一杯入る部屋で良いねぇ。
This is the laundry room. I like it that the room has much space and can get a lot of sun light through the windows.
これは地下エリア。
This is the basement.
地下と言っても、ここから湖側の地面は同じ高さなので、そのまま外に出られます。
I said that it's basement, but its level is the same as the ground level in the back of the house, so you can directly go out to the lake side from the door in the basement.
完成してここに泊めてもらう時は、地下にあるベッドルームの１つを使わせてもらう予定です。
When everything is done and we stay over at this cabin, Andy, May-chan and I are going to use one of the bedrooms in the basement.
でっかい段ボールがあったので、めいはそこに入ったり出たりと嬉しそうに遊んでいました。
There was a huge empty box there, which was the best toy for May-chan. She had much fun to go in and out of the box forever.
家の裏側に回って湖を見てみる事にしました。
We also checked the back side of the house and walked to the lake too.
ここからボートに乗る事ができるようになっています。
Dad&Mom can ride on their boat from here.
お魚が見えたらしくてめいも嬉しそうに水中を覗いていました。
Mom said that they could see fish in the water and that's why May-chan was so curious and excited.
という訳で、最後の最後でパパママの新居の建設状況を見させてもらえて良かったです。
I'm very glad that I could take the last minute of the vacation to see how Dad&Mom's new cabin was going.
費用を抑えるためにできるだけ自分達のできる箇所は自分達でやっているパパママ。
Dad&Mom have been working so hard on their new cabin since they want do whatever they can do to curb the costs as much as possible.
それだけでも体力的にも精神的にも大変なんですが、それに加えてコロナの影響もあって、本当に家を一軒建てるってエネルギーの要る事なんだなぁと傍で見ていて感じます。
Continuous big DIY projects require you tons of energy and exhaust you both mentally and physically, but besides that, a lot of things have been unordinary due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has forced Dad&Mom to use extra energy too.
Andyっちもできる限りのお手伝いをしているのですが、この先、この新居が完成するまで出来るだけ物事が上手く進んで、早くパパママが一息つけるようになればなぁと思います。
Andy has assisted them as much as possible so far, and all I can do for them now is to wish that everything will go very smoothly and be settled down so that Dad&Mom can have a relaxing life ASAP.
そんな訳で、今年の独立記念日、我が家の過ごし方はこんな感じでございました！！！
