さて、今日も独立記念日当日の様子をお届けしたいと思います。
Okay, I'm going to write more about our family's 4th of July vacation today again.
独立記念日当日だからと言って特別な事はなく、いつもと同じようにご飯を食べてお外で水遊び。
Even on the 4th, we didn't do anything special and just spent another ordinary day. May-chan and I played outside after lunch as usual.
めいが遊んでいる間、チャンスがあればHit-chanはこうやって読書をしておりました。
While May-chan was playing, I was reading if I got a chance.
飲み物はアイスコーヒー。やっぱり、暑いとコーヒーもアイスにしたくなるねぇ。
I made myself iced coffee too. Yeah, I usually drink hot coffee, but wanted iced coffee on the hot and humid day.
で、この日の夕食。
Then, dinner time.
ちょっと特別感を出して、贅沢にステーキ！
It was the only special thing of the day, which was steak!!
Hit-chanはチーズハッシュブラウンを作りました。（皆に好評だったので良かった！）
I made cheesy hash brown too. (I was so happy to hear that everyone loved it!)
後はクスクスも。（クスクスは小麦粉で出来た小さい粒状のもので、ピラフと似ています。）
We quickly made couscous too.
皆で美味しく頂きました。
It was a nice dinner for everyone.
この日の夕食の後、ママがめいをお散歩に連れて行ってくれました。
After the dinner, Mom took May-chan out for a walk.
今年の独立記念日ですが、結果、特別な事は何もしておらず、ただただのんびりと時間が過ぎていきました。
This is all about how we spent the 4th of July this year. As you read, we didn't do anything special, and just had a calm and peaceful day.
アメリカの独立記念日と言ったら花火なんですが、やっぱりパパママが借りているお家の周りでも夜になったらパン、パン！という音が聞こえてきました。
Speaking of 4th of July, it's fireworks, isn't it? Just as I assumed, I heard that people were doing fireworks around the rental place too.
ただねぇ、年一回のお祭り気分なのもあると思うのですが、アメリカでは「夜遅くに花火をしたら近所迷惑だなぁ。」という感覚は無いようで、夜の0時を過ぎても外で花火の音が鳴り響いておりました。
Though, I understand that it's once-a-year event, but some people here in the US don't think, "It might bother the neighbors if I do fireworks and make noises late at night." So, I still heard the loud fireworks even after midnight.
本当、めいが花火の音で起きたりしない図太さを持っていて良かったです。(笑)
Seriously, I really appreciated that May-chan was a good sleeper who didn't care about the loud noises. Haha
まぁ、こんな感じで我が家の独立記念日当日は過ぎていきました。
Anyways, this is all about how our family spent the 4th of July this year.
