How are you doing today?
さてさて、今日で長かったファミリーバケーションシリーズが終わります。
Okay, this is the last article about my family vacation in July.
バケーションの最終日は。。。
On the last day, what we did was...
家族全員でゴルフ。
Yup, golf with everybody.
まぁ、ゴルフはそれなりに進みまして、運動の後はランチに。。。
The play went fine and we headed to the last lunch together.
この前夕食を食べた同じレストランです。なので、再びフレンチオニオンスープ。
This restaurant is the same place we had dinner a couple days before, so the French onion soup again.
Hit-chanはこの韓国風のポークラップを食べたんですが、これはこのバケーション一、美味しくなかったです。(笑)
I tried their Korean pulled pork wrap, but it was not good at all.
半分以上残したので、ウエイターさんが「大丈夫でしたか？」と聞いてくれたんですが、「美味しくなかったです。」とは言わずに「大丈夫でした。」と答えました。
I left more than the half, so the nice server guy asked if I enjoyed it, but I actually answered "Yes".
それを聞いていたパパが、「美味しくなかった時は、そういった方がシェフの為にもなるから言っても良いんだよ。」と教えてくれました。
Then, Ray kindly said "It's actually good for them to know how you liked the dish, so you can tell them if you didn't like it."
まぁ、Hit-chanもそうは思ったのですが、まだまだ母国語の方が圧倒的に強いHit-chanは、英語で何かを説明する時に色々脳みそを動かさないといけないんで、どこが美味しくないかとかを聞かれた場合、説明するのが面倒くさいと思っちゃったわけですな。
I actually understood that part, but my first language is still Japanese and it's sometimes just tiring for me to translate my thoughts into English words. So, I was just too tired to make my brain to explain how I didn't like the dish to the server at this time.
このバケーション、このランチをもって終了です。
Anyways, this is the end of my family vacation.
たくさんの楽しい時間と少しのハプニングの時間がありましたが、やっぱりこうやって家族みんなと貴重な時間を過ごさせてもらえて感謝、感謝です。
I had a lot of fun time and a little bit of happenings on this vacation, but after all, I really appreciate my family for letting me have such a precious experience together.
という訳で、ファミリーバケーション・２０１６、これにて終了～！
