さて、このブログに何度書いたか分かりませんが、Hit-chanが働いているカリブーの店長がまた変わりました。
I actually don't remember how many times I said this on this blog, but again, my manager at work changed again.
５年と半年くらい働いているんですが、臨時店長も含めて、もうかれこれ９人以上は変わったんじゃないですかね。(笑)
I've been at Caribou over 5 years, but I've already had more than 9 different store managers so far. Haha.
常連さんに何度も「Hit-chanは店長しないの？」と聞かれたんですが、何故にしないのかはこの状況で分かっていただけるんじゃないでしょうか。
Some regulars asked me, " Are you going to be the manager?" many times, but like what I said above, the position doesn't seem attractive to me at all.
さて、話は変わり、短いミネソタの夏を楽しんでいる毎週末、この日もいつもと変わらぬ休日。
Anyways, I've enjoyed a short MN summer every weekend and I want to talk about one of those relaxing days.
BBQ
そうそう、最近、AndyっちがDIYでこんなものを作ってくれました。
Oh yeah, I haven't mentioned about this here, but Andy made this nice thing.
ダイニングから裏庭に出るドアの下の階段。
Yeah, he made these steps from the dining room to the back yard.
これで背の低いHit-chanやママも楽々昇り降りができるようになりました。
Thanks to them, even short people like me or mom can get in and out to the yard so easily now.
この日はHit-chanにはハンバーガー。
I asked Andy to grill a hamburger for me that day.
Andyっちはステーキ。
Andy made steak.
そうそう、この日はAndyっち、Hit-chanに新しいゲームを教えてくれました。
On that day, Andy taught me a new fun game.
Andyっちがウィスコンシン州に住む友人マイクの家に行った時、道具をいただいてきたのです。
Andy's friend, Mike in WI, gave us what we need for the game.
このゲーム、ビーンバッグというのですが、名前の通り、豆の入った袋を穴に開いた的に投げて、その点数を競うのです。
This game is called "Bean Bag" and just as the name, we throw the bags with beans inside to the board and compete with the points.
Hit-chan初めての挑戦。
My first try.
思ったよりも的が遠く、ビーンバッグを届かせるに結構勢いがいるんですが、勢いが強すぎると的の上を滑って向こう側に落ちてしまい、投げ方と力の調節が難しかったです。
The board is farther than I expected and you need certain power to make the bags reach to the board, but if you throw too hard, the bags slide on the board and fall behind. So, it's so hard to adjust how hard you throw the bags.
Andyっちと勝負したんですが、まぁ、ぼろ負けですよね。
Of course, I played with Andy, but he completely beat me.
終わってからAndyっちに「楽しかった？」と聞かれたんですが、ぼろ負けしたんで、「別に。。。」と答えておきました。(笑)
After we played, Andy asked me, "Did you have fun?" but I answered "Not really. since I lost!!!
とはいえ、こうやって色々と新しいゲームを教えてくれるAndyっちに感謝です。
Anyways, I appreciate Andy for teaching me something new and fun I've never done before.
という訳で、負けず嫌いのHit-chanでした。
Okay, that's all today. Yup, I hate to lose!
