SolarstoneによるArt+Musicをコンセプトとしたアルバム、Electronic Architectureシリーズの三年ぶりとなる新作。

三枚組はそれぞれDisc1, Disc2, Disc3ごとに、

Disc1. deep & immersive sounds
Disc2. melodic Pure energy
Disc3. slow-motion soundscapes

と、コンセプトが定められている。
多くは割愛するが、以上から数曲を取り上げると、


Blister 13.0 - Sin Ojos (Oliver Prime Remix In Blue)は今回、EA3の中でも一際異彩を放つ曲。ノンストップMixにのみ、男女のウィスパーヴォイスによるダイアログがあり、この楽曲のオリジナルが描き出すタッチを見事なまでに昇華させている。



次点はSalt Tank - Phoenix (Allende Remix - EA3 Edit) 一聴したところEPIC系のコードだけれど、後半からの地面を這うようなうねりと『ズレ』が、複雑なランダムパターンを描いていく。斯様にEA3は一癖二癖ある楽曲が多い。


他にも、ブルガリアンチャントが壮大に響くOrkideaの"Purity"や、古代の巫女が歌い上げるが如きOuter Pulseの"Ethereal Glyph (Solarstone Retouch)"、ポスト・クラシカルの先鋭Nils Frahmのピアノを大胆にリミックスした"Dedication, Loyalty (EA3 Edit)"など、聴き所は挙げたら切りがない。



毎回、コンセプチュアルでありながら鮮度を損なわない最先端の楽曲群を自在にコネクトしていく独創的なセンスと仕事の確実さは、十年来のDJ実績のみならず、丁寧なラップトップレコーディングとサンプリングを積み上げてきたノウハウによる面目躍如である。



連綿と紡がれる透明なアトモスフィアと、空間に切り込む機械仕掛けのビートで構築される時間の結晶体は、『クロスフェードの芸術』と呼ぶに相応しく、特にこのEAシリーズにおいては、ミックス対象の素材だけではなく、自前のサンプリングや前後曲のフラグメントを縦横無尽に組み替えながら、あたかもコンピレーション一体で壮大な有機体を為すように設計されている。


数曲先のオブリガードがクロスフェードする間のビートとシンクロする意匠の見事さは、このEAシリーズ最大の醍醐味であり、それぞれの楽曲が単体で演奏されるよりも、この有機体の中にあって稀有な煌めきを放つのである。

以上の理由から、Continuous Mix (ノンストップMix)の中でしか聴けないバージョンのある楽曲がほとんどを締めているので、ダウンロード購入の場合は是非ご一考頂きたい。
