How's everything going in you life?
さて、このブログにも何度も登場している友人、トムとキャットの第一子が今月に生まれる予定です。
So, I've written about very nice friends of Andy's and mine, Tom&Kat, a lot here on my blog, and they're actually expecting their 1st child this month.
で、6月の始めにベビーシャワーがあり、昨年から始まった自粛生活後初めてのパーティーに参加してきました。
（ベビーシャワーは赤ちゃんを迎えるカップルに対して開くパーティーです。）
They had their baby shower in the beginning of June, and Andy, May-chan and I attended the party. It was the first gathering that we joined since the quarantine started last year.
ベビーシャワーがあったこの日、Hit-chan達が住んでいる地域の温度が32度を越えるすごく暑い日でした。（ミネソタ比）
The party day was actually very hot and the temperature was over 90F which was extremely hot here in MN.
会場はトムのご両親のお家のお隣さんの庭。（湖に面していて眺めも最高ですねぇ。）
The venue was Tom's parents' neighbor's yard. (The lake view is wonderful, isn't it?)
早速パーティーの主役キャットを発見して記念撮影。キャットが母親と慕うスーザンとも久しぶりに会いました。
We found the mom-to-be, Kat, right away when we got there. We also made a nice reunion with Susanne who Kat said her 2nd mother.
めいも少し人見知りをしておりますが、ダディに抱っこしてもらっているので大丈夫。
May-chan was a little bit shy then, but she was comfortable enough in Daddy's arms.
ちなみに、キャットが母親と慕うスーザンも何回かこのブログに登場しております。
Susanne has appeared on this blog several times before.
めいがデッキ（甲板）の方に行きたがったので、手を繋いで行ってみました。
May-chan wanted to check the deck on the lake, so I took her there.
デッキの先にはこんなベンチが置いてあって、湖を眺めながらのんびりできるようになっていました。
On the end of the deck, they had a bench so that you could enjoy the view and relax there.
ベンチからの景色はこんな感じでした。
The view from the bench was like this.
ちなみにこの甚兵衛、今年の子供の日に日本の母が送ってくれました。サイズもピッタリで、この暑い日に持ってこいでした。（ありがとー！）
BTW, I put May-chan this cute outfits called Jin-Be which my mom in Japan sent us on Children's Day in May. The Japanese traditional summer clothes were perfect for the hot summer day. (Bit Thanks!)
このパーティーの最中、めいはこのベンチに何度も行きたがって、ダディにもお願いしておりました。(笑)
During the party, May-chan wanted to sit on the bench on the deck over and over and asked Daddy to take here there some times too. Haha.
パパになるトムも特製エプロンで登場。(笑)

途中、記念撮影をしているところをちょっとお邪魔して写真を撮らせてもらいました。デコレーション凝ってるよねぇ。
I sneaked to take a photo of them together. The decoration was so pretty.
パーティーには開始直後に到着したので、しばらく庭の椅子に座って色々とお喋りしたりして過ごしていました。
We arrived at the party on the start time, so we spent time sitting and chatting with others at the table in the yard.
めいには氷をあげました。
May-chan started whining, so I gave her a cup of ice cubes.
めいの赤いほっぺで分かると思いますが、本当に暑い日だったので、この氷が気持ち良かったみたいで、しばらく気に入ってペロペロ舐めていてくれました。
As you can tell it from her pinky cheeks, but it was super hot that day. So, she really loved licking ice cubes and entertained herself with them for a while.
と、こんな感じで始まったベビーシャワー。久しぶりにたくさんの人と一度に会ったのですが、シャイなHit-chanも自粛生活の反動なのか、色々とお喋りしたのが凄く楽しかったです。
This is how the party started. We met and talked to a lot of people at once after the long quarantined life, so even I really enjoyed all the conversations with others though I was usually a shy person.
