焼き飯パーティ(Fried Rice Party)

どもども。
Hello.





皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How are you doing today?





こちらミネソタでは、あちらこちらから「もう冬はいらないね。」という声が聞こえております。
Here in MN, I hear people saying "I'm tired of this weather." everywhere lately.





Hit-chanもこの冬の寒さと大雪にうんざりしており、早く春が来ないかなぁと日々願っております。
I'm also super tired of the coldness and snow and wishing that spring will come soon everyday.




さて、先日ブリザードに見舞われた日、お友達のキャットとその家族と一緒に焼き飯パーティーをしました。
So, the other day we got blizzard, I had a fried rice party with my friend, Kat and her family.




お呼ばれしたのは、カリブーで一緒に働いているアレックスとそのご両親のお宅。
I visited Alex and his parents' house. Alex's working at Caribou too.





Hit-chanとAndyっちの家から、車で5分のご近所さんでございます。
They're living just 5 minutes drive away from our house.





実は、キャットは高校生の時にアレックスの家族のお向かいに住んでいて、アレックスとアレックスのお姉さんのベビーシッターをしていたんです。
Actually, Kat used to live right across the street from their house and babysit Alex and his sister when she was in high school.





その後、キャットは実のお母さんをガンで亡くしてしまうんですが、その時に傍で寄り添ってサポートしたのが、アレックスのママ、スーザンだったんです。
She actually lost her mother to canser and got in her deep sorrow, but Ales's mom, Susanne was there with a lot of support and love.




なので、キャットはアレックスのご両親の事をパパ、ママと呼んでおり、血は繋がってはいませんが家族の一員なんですよ。
So, even though it's not biological, Kat calls Alex's parents Dad&Mom and she's a member of the family.

で、スーザンが焼き飯の作り方を知りたいとの事だったので、Hit-chanが焼き飯を作りました。
I made fried rice because Susanne wanted to know how to make it.





吹雪の中、テラスに出てマークがハンバーガーをグリルしてくれました。
In the blizzard, Mark bravely grilled the hamburgers.





ディナータイム！
It's dinner time!



家から手作りの照り焼きソースも持って行ったんですが、焼き飯共々、皆とっても気に入ってくれて、Hit-chan大満足でございました。
I also brought my home made Teriyaki sauce. I'm so happy that everyone loved both of my fried rice and Teriyaki sauce.




食事の後は、女性チームで一杯お喋りをして楽しい時間を過ごしました。
After the nice dinner, I enjoyed chatting with a lot with Kat and Susanne.




キャットからは、スーザンがどれくらい大切な存在かを度々聞いていたんですが、実際にこうやって一緒に過ごしてみて、彼女が本当にとっても可愛くて素敵な女性なんなんだと知る事ができました。
I'd heard a lot about Susanne and known how much she meant to Kat even before I met her in person and she's really such a cute and charming lady.




Andyっちとアレックスのパパ、マークもたくさん興味深い話ができたようで、本当に良かったです。
Andy and Mark also had a fun time to talk about some interesting topics, so it's so nice to them too.




これからも、ぜひぜひ家族ぐるみで色々な楽しい時間を一緒に過ごしていきたいなぁと思いました。
Thankfully, I could meet this wonderful family, so I'd love to share a lot of fun and enjoyable time with them more.
