皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How are you doing today?
Hit-chanは、先日6月30日無事、ミネソタ移住３周年を迎える事ができ、お蔭さまでこのブログのMN生活のカテゴリーも4年目ができました。改めて、ありがとうございます。
The other day, on June 30th, I had my 3rd anniversary and just added a new category (MN life 2013-14) today. Thanks again.
あと、10月の帰国予定ですが、段々近づくにつれて、Hit-chan、「10日間だけやと、何か短いかも？」と思い始めてしまいまして、思い切って15日間に延長しました。
I'm planning on a trip back to Japan in October and already booked the flight tickets. Even though, lately I've got feeling like "10 days might be too short?" So, I extended the schedule by 5 more days.
チケットの変更に$150かかったんですが、次回いついけるか分かりませんし、帰るとなったら飛行機のチケットに＄2000くらいかかるから、$150で滞在期間を延長できるなら良いかなぁって思ったんですねぇ。
It actually costed $150 to change the ticket schedule, but I have no idea when I can go back again and it would cost about $2000 just to get the tickets again. So, I thoughtit's not that expensive to extend the stay just for $150 this time.
今から、妹ツインズと一緒に、欲しい本のリストを作ったりして、めちゃくちゃワクワクしております。
I've already started making a list of books that I want to buy over there with my twin sisters and that's so exciting.
さて、4年目に入って最初の記事ですが、先日７月４日は、こちらアメリカの独立記念日でございました。
So, this is the 1st update of my 4th year in MN. I want to write about 4th of July today.
今年は皆忙しくて、直前まで何も予定はなかったんですが、もう明日が独立記念日だという時にAndyっちが、
This year, everybody in our family has been so busy and we didn't plan anything special for 4th of July, but Andy told me on the day befor,
「何か、何もしないっていうのは寂しいなぁ。」
"It's kind of sad we don't do anything for 4th of July this year."
と言い始めて、急遽、パパママを誘って、何かする事にしました。（笑）
So, we suddenly decided to do something with Andy's parents, Ray and Mary. Haha.
残念ながら、ブラッド君はピッツバーグに行っており、不在でした。（泣）
Unfortunately, Andy's brother, Brad was in Pittsburgh, so we couldn't have him around.
Andyっちは、前日に大掛かりな買い物をして、当日、朝早く起きてこの日のメインディッシュの支度を始めました。
Andy went to grocery shopping after he came up with the idea the day before. And he woke up early and started cooking a main dish on the 4th.
ご覧のとおり、この日のお天気は最高でした。
As you can see, it was very beautiful out on the 4th.
スモークマン登場！
Here's my smoke man!
Hit-chanも、スモークマンの指示のもと、色々とお手伝いをしたんですが、いきなり蚊に鼻の頭を刺されまして、ピエロみたいな鼻になってテンション下がりました。（笑）
（Hit-chan、免疫がまだあまり無いせいか、こっちの蚊に刺されるとめちゃくちゃ腫れて、めちゃくちゃ痒くなるんです。）
I also helped my smoke man to carry the smoker out or start fire, but I got a big mosquito bite on top of my nose and it looked like a clown. That killed my motivation a lot. Haha.
( I guess, I've been here just for 3 years and my immune system or something for mosquito hasn't built yet, so my mosquito bites get so big and itchy.)
途中でパパママも合流して、お酒を飲みながら、とにかくゆっくり過ごします。
Ray and Mary joined us and we started drinking and spending relaxing time.
準備中には蚊に刺されたものの、その後は煙のお蔭か、蚊もあまりいなくて、本当に過ごしやすかったです。
Even though I got big mosquito bites while helping my smoke man, thanks to smoke from the smoker or not, it was mosquito free and so comfortable out after that.
今回スモークマンが作ってくれたのは、

チャラ～ン！スペアリブでございます！！！
Ta-dah!Pork ribs!!!
テーブルセッティングして、皆で美味しくいただきました。
We set up a table and had the delicious meal together.
一応、独立記念日っぽく、$1で買った旗と一緒に記念撮影。よ～く見ると、虫刺されのせいで、Hit-chanの鼻がやっぱりおかしいよ。

Andyっちのリブはいつもの様に柔らかくてジューシー、そして煙の香ばしい匂いも相まって本当に美味しかったです。
Just as always, my smoke man's ribs were so tender, juicy, smokey and of course, super delicious!
ただ、Hit-chan、すきっ腹にワインクーラーを飲んだのと、ちょっと寝不足だったので、ご飯食べた後はめちゃくちゃ眠くなってお昼寝しちゃいました。
I actually had 2 glasses of wine cooler in my empty belly and I hadn't had slept much the night before, so I got very sleepy after I ate the meal and ended up taking a nap.
で、お昼寝から目覚めると、まだ宴は続いており、皆で「バーディーゴルフ」という、庭でもできるゴルフのゲームをする事になりました。
After the nap, the feast was still going on out and we played a gold game called "birdie golf".
トランポリンみたいな的を2台地面に置いて、離れた所からバドミントンのシャトルみたいな羽の付いたボール（バーディー）を打って、的を狙います。
We put 2 targets like a trampoline on the ground and hit and aim a birdie from a little distance to the targets.
Hit-chan、今年に入って2回目のゴルフ（もどき）です。
This was the 2nd time for me to play golf-like stuff this year.
この後、皆はハンバーガーを作って食べてましたが、Hit-chanは流石にお腹に入りませんでした。
After this, everybody grilled hamburgers, but I was still stuffed and couldn't eat it.
日が暮れてくると、やっぱり蚊の数も多くなってきて、皆、家の中に退散、そしてそのままお開きとなりました。
As it's getting darker out, more mosquitoes got out, so we cleaned the yard and ended the feast.
という訳で、皆忙しい中で、久しぶりのイベント事でしたが、とっても楽しく過ごす事ができました。
I'm so glad that we could have a really nice family time on the 4th this year again.
