リブコンテスト (Rib Cook Off 2017)

Hit-chanは元気です。
I'm doing pretty well.

さて、このブログでもお馴染みになってきていると思うのですが、うちのAndyっち、別の名を我が家のグリルマンと言います。
I think you guys have been familiar with this, but Andy loves BBQ and I call him "Grill Man".



で、そのグリルマン、ここ数年、同僚の方2人が主催するリブコンテストに参加しています。
And my grill man has participated this Rib Cookoff these years, which the two of his co-workers host every year.



Hit-chanは過去に1度しか行った事ないんでえすが、今年はお休みだったので応援に行く事にしました。
I've only been there once, but I was off this year and went to cheer up my grill man.







Hit-chanは会場に3時前くらいに入ったのですが、グリルマンはこの日朝の8時くらいに会場入りしておりました。
I got there around 3pm, but my grill man arrived there at 8ish in the morning.




会場は同僚の方2人の家。（2人は何と隣同士に住んでるのです。）
Surprisingly, the two of the co-workers live next door!



今年新しくなったトロフィー。
They made this new trophy.




我が家のグリルマンも2013年に優勝しております。
My grill man actually won the 1st place in 2013.



この日は同僚のアゼルバイジャン出身のナルミーナもお誘いしました。
I invited my friend and co-worker, Narmina, originally from Azerbaijan.



友人のキャット＆トムとそのお友達のジョンも来てくれました。
My lovely friends, Kat&Tom and their friend John joined us too.



このテントの下に参加者皆持ち寄ってくれた料理が並びます。
Under this tent, there are so many differnt foods that people brought.




キャットは最近カリブーから転職したので、久しぶりに近況報告。
Kat recently got another job and left Caribou, so we caught up on things.



仕事終わりにナルミーナの旦那様も来てくれて、この日初めましてでした。
Narmina's husband came after work too and that was the first time to meet him.



リブコンテストの結果ですが、残念ながら今年は我が家のグリルマンは入賞しませんでした。
As for the prize, unfortunately, my grill man didn't win this year.



もちろん、リブはいつも通り美味しかったです。（ただ、グリルマン曰く、早く作り始め過ぎたので、ちょっと火を通しすぎたらしいです。）
Although, his ribs were as delicious as always. (He was saying that he started smoking them too early and overcooked them though.)



とにかく、久しぶりにキャット＆トムにも会えて楽しかったです。
Whether you care about the prize or not, it was such a great time with my wonderful friends.
