さて、お陰様で我が家のめいも3月末に16ヶ月になりまして、3月の初めに15ヶ月検診と予防接種を受けにいきました。
So, our loving daughter, May-chan, turned 16 months at the end of March and had her 15month check-up in the beginning of the month.
仕事終わりのAndyっちと病院で落ち合う予定だったんですが、ちょっと用事があって予約時間に遅れちゃったので、Hit-chanとめいが先に入って受付をしました。
May-chan and I were going to meet up with Andy at the clinic after his work, but he got late because of a chore along the way, so only we entered the clinic at first and checked in.
検診にいくといつも体重、身長、頭囲を測るところから始まるんですが、この時のめいの人見知り度合いが半端なかった！（汗）
We always start from measuring her (weight, height and head) on a check up, but May-chan was in such a bad and shy mood on that day!!!
別室に移動して服を脱がせて体重計に乗せようとするとギャン泣きで、必死で下りようとして、いつもお世話になっている看護師さんもビックリ。
We always do all the measurements in a different room with a scale, but once I took her clothes off and tried to put her on the scale, she started crying and screaming so hard. Of course, she wanted to get off the scale and come back to my arms. Her nurse is always awesome and does a great job with her, but even she was surprised and having a hard time with May-chan's strong rejection.
そうなんですよねぇ、最近人見知りを覚えて、知らない場所に行ったり知らない人に会ったりすると、Hit-chanの腕から離れたがらなくなっています。
Yeah, May-chan has been more shy recently and an unfamiliar place or person makes her extra shy too. Once she gets in her shy mood, she doesn't want to leave my arms.
なので、あまり行った事のない病院で裸にされた上にマミーの手から離されて・・・と、不安になる要素が一杯あったんでしょうねぇ。
From her perspective, "mommy striped all the clothes off from me in an unfamiliar place and passed me to someone that I don't know." So, it's very understandable that she was extremely scared.
何とかかんとかで全部を測り終えて、診察室に戻って、担当の先生とお話をし始めたところでAndyっちが到着。
Anyways, the nurse and I put our hands together and barely got all the measurements done. Then, we went back to the consulting room and started talking to May-chan's doctor. At that point, Andy arrived in the room, which was kind of a good timing.
看護師さんが頑張って測ってくれた数値がこちらなんですが、9ヶ月検診と12ヶ月検診の結果をブログに載せてなかったので、その2つの記録も一緒に載せておきたいと思います。
Here are the result of all the measurements at 15months, but I didn't share ones of 9months and 12months here, so I'd love to share those ones along with the 15 month one here.
9ヶ月検診時：身長68.5㎝（27位）、体重7569g（26位）、頭囲42.1㎝（10位）、BMI値16.13（34位）
9month check-up: Height 2ft 2.97inch(27th), Weight 16lb 11oz(26th), Head 16.58inch(10th),BMI 16.13(34th)
12ヶ月検診時：身長72㎝（21位）、体重8334g（28位）、頭囲42.9㎝（7位）、BMI値16.08（42位）
12month check-up: Height 2ft 4.35inch(21th), Weight 18lb 6oz(28th), Head 16.89inch(7th), BMI 16.08(42nd)
15ヶ月検診時：身長76㎝（28位）、体重9072g（31位）、頭囲43.5㎝（6位）、BMI値15.71（42位）
15month check-up: Height 2ft 5.92inch(28th), Weight 20lb(31st), Head 17.13inch(6th), BMI 15.71(42nd)
そうそう、めいがお世話になっていた小児科の先生が違う病院に異動されたので、今は新しい女性の先生に診てもらっています。
Oh, I forgot to tell you, but May-chan's pediatrician has been changed starting at the beginning of this year since the previous doctor now works at a different hospital. The new doctor is a female too.
新しい先生と言っても、前の先生の代わりに何度か診ていただいた方だったので特に心配はありませんでした。
I said that she's a new doctor, but she had taken care of May-chan a couple of times before when the previous doctor was not available so neither Andy or I worried about this change.
特に大きな問題や心配などは無かったので、簡単な問診を終えて予防接種をしてもらう事に。。。
Thankfully, we didn't have any big concerns or problems with May-chan, so all she needed after the consulting was 4 vaccine shots.
いつもなら予防接種を待っている時にに写真を撮ったりしていたんですが、この日はギャン泣きしたり、Andyっちが後から合流したのもあって、写真を撮る余裕がありませんでした。
I usually try to take pictures on May-chan's check-up visits while we wait for them to get shots ready or something, but I didn't have much energy and a chance to do it earlier on the visit since May-chan was in such a bad mood and Andy wasn't there as I talked above.
で、やっとこさシャッターチャンスを持てたのが。。。
When I finally got a chance to use my camera was...,
予防接種の後。やっぱり泣いちゃいました。4本も打たれたからねぇ。で、毎回恒例のダディに慰められる図。(笑)
after the vaccine shots. Of course, May-chan cried again. I know, 4 shots were a lot. It's become traditional that daddy holds and comforts her after vaccine shots. Haha.
でも、基本痛みには強いめいなので、病院を出て車に乗る頃には通常通りに戻っておりました。
Though, May-chan's born to be very tolerant with pain, so she turned back to normal by the time when we left the clinic and put her in my car.
でね、この日はまだ3月の初めで、コロナにより外出禁止令もまだ出ていなかったと思うんですが、世界の動きを常日頃読んでいるAndyっちが、「この先コロナがもっともっと酷くなると思う。だから、この先最低2週間は外に出なくても良いように買い物をしておこう。」と提案してくれたんです。
I said that this was in the beginning of March, which was before shelter in place started and sense of urgency among people arose as much as now. Andy who always checks news and pay attention to what's happening in the world said, "Hon, I think that the Corona thing is going to be worse from now, so we should go and get things enough to stay home for 2 weeks at least."
なので、病院から直接近くのターゲットに行きました。
So, after May-chan's check-up, we swung by Target nearby.
めいもすっかりご機嫌になっております。
May-chan turned back to be normal and in a good mood.
めいのオムツやお尻ふき、お菓子なども買いました。
Besides some food, we also got May-chan's diapers, wipes and snacks.
世界の流れをいち早く読んでくれていたAndyっちのお陰で、この時点ではトイレットペーパーもちゃんと買う事ができました。
Thanks to my smart hubby for reading the tide of the world's move, we didn't have any problem to purchase a pack of toilet paper at the point either.
この時ある程度の買い物はしたんですが、またまた先見の明があるAndyっちが、「このまま行けば確実に外出禁止令が出るから、2週間じゃなくて最低2ヶ月は大丈夫なように食料を買っておこう。」と提案して、外出禁止令の出る前に自ら率先してスーパーに買い出しに行ってくれました。
We bought a certain amount of food on this shipping, but Andy suggested, "I believe that they're going to declare shelter in place sometime soon for sure, so I think we should get more things so that we don't have to go anywhere in the next 2months at least." and he went to a grocery store on his own.
なので、頼りになるAndyっちのお陰で、我が家は慌てる事無く外出禁止令に対応する事ができたんですねぇ。
So, thanks to my reliable hubby, we didn't have to rush to a busy grocery store right before the quarantine order.
とにかく、我が家のめいは何事もなく15ヶ月検診を終え、現在16ヶ月になっているんですが、毎日元気に楽しく順調に成長をしております！
Anyways, what I wanted to tell you here was that May-chan passed her 15month check-up without any problem and she is already 16months old now. Thankfully, she's been so energetic and active everyday.
いつまでコロナの不安が続くか分かりませんが、感謝の気持ちを忘れないようにしながら乗り越えていきたいと思います。
I have no clue how much longer we'll need to keep this quarantine life, but I want to get over this with lots gratitude for everything in my mind.
