Hit-chanは相変わらず元気でやっております。
Mine is full of sunshine!
さて、このブログにも何度か書いているんですが、Hit-chan妊娠中も食の好みはそれ程変わっておらず、昔から言う女性の好きな物の代表、「芋・蛸・南瓜」の言葉そのまま当てはまっております。(笑)
So, I've talked about my craving during pregnancy a couple of times here, but again, I don't have any weird or unusual craving so far. There's an old expression about girls' favorite foods in Japan, "Potatos, Octopus and Pumpkin" and yeah, I love them all and am such a typical Japanese girl. Haha.
で、今年、Andyっちと体外受精の治療の為に日本に長期滞在していたんですが、そこでたくさんの美味しい日本食を堪能しました。
So, Andy and I spent a long time in Japan for IVF treatment this year and we had millions of delicious Japanese food there.
ですが、人間というもの、無い物ねだりという本能は避けられないのか、日本の滞在が長くなるとミネソタで食べているものが恋しくなったりしました。
Even though, I don't know why we human beings can't avoid from the instinct, wanting what you don't have, and both Andy and I missed our familiar American foods in Japan.
そういえば、Andyっちもこれが恋しくて、母の友人からプレゼントしてもらったりしましたねぇ。(笑)
Yeah, I wrote about it here too. Andy got a present from my mom's friend then. Haha.
途中、マカロニ＆チーズが無性に食べたくなったAndyっち、お店で見つけて笑顔。
During the trip, Andy got starving for Mac&Cheese so bad and this is the moment we found it at the shop.
その上、ブログを読んでくださった母のお友達からもマカロニ＆チーズをいただきました。ありがとうございました！
What's better is one of my mom's friend read my blog and sent us Mac&Cheese too! Thanks so much!
で、Hit-chanが食べたくなったのが。。。
In my case, I was so craving for this.
Bruegger's Bagelsというベーグル屋さんのサンドイッチです。（画像拝借元）
Yup, Bruegger's Bagels' sandwich.
もちろん、決められたサンドイッチの種類はあるんですが、自分でカスタマイズもできます。
They have some certain kinds of sandwiches on the menu, but I always customize one.
Hit-chanがいつも頼むのが、エブリシングベーグル（ケシの実、胡麻、ガーリックパウダー、オニオンパウダーなどで味付けされている）に、ハム、トマト、レタス、オニオン、そしてマヨネーズとハニーマスタードという組み合わせです。
My special sandwich is..., on an everything bagel, ham, tomato, lettus, onion with honey mustard and mayo.

FYI, this is everything bagel.
で、先日もAndyっちがベーグル屋さんの近くに行くというので、ついでに買ってきてもらいました。
The other day, Andy said that he's going near the bagel shop, so I asked him to get me the sandwich.
これこれ。
This is it!
これが美味しくって、日本にいる時に無性に食べたくなったんです。
I really love this and super missed this also in Japan.
前に一度、家でも作ってみようと思ってやってみたんですが、何故かその時はあんまり美味しくできなかったんです。
I actually tried to make it at home, but it didn't turn out to be so great at that time.
でも、やっぱり、使っている食材などは簡単に手に入りますし、家で作れたら安くつくし、もう一度挑戦する事にしたんです。
Though, you can get all the ingredients so easily here and it'd be super cheap as well, so I tried to make one agaian.
ベーグルはこちらの、アインシュタインベーグル。（画像拝借元）
I got a bagel from here. Einstein Bagels.
実は、こちらのベーグル、数年前にHit-chanの働いているカリブーコーヒーと合併しまして、Hit-chan、簡単にこちらのベーグルを社員価格で買う事ができるんです。
Actually, Caribou coffee was merged with this company a couple of years ago, so I can get their bagle with the employee's discount!
で、こちらが完成品。
Okay, this is what I made.
ベーグルは購入してから少し時間が経っていたのでトースターで温めましたが、味はめちゃくちゃ旨い！！！
It'd been a few days since I got the bagel, so I toasted it in the oven a little bit. And..., it was super delicious!!!
Hit-chan基準ですと、ブルガーズで買うやつと全然遜色無いんですよ～。
In my opinion, it was not that different from one that I usually get at Bruegger's.
あんまり気に入ったので、近所のスーパーで買ったベーグルでも、また作りました。（笑）
I really loved it so much and made another one with a bagel from Lunds&Byerly's again. Hehe.
旨い！！！マジで美味しい！！
This is amazing! Super yammy!
「Hit-chan、マジ天才？？」って思うくらい、美味しくできまして、最近しょっちゅう作ってます。（爆）
The super delicious bagel sandwich even made me think, "Am I a genius??". LOL
栄養的にも、炭水化物、たんぱく質、食物繊維などなど、結構良いバランスなので、罪悪感なく食べられます。
The nutrition balance is very good as well. It contains carbs, protein and fibers etc... So, I don't have to feel guilty at all!
そういう事で、アメリカだと簡単に手に入る食材で、こんなにも美味しいものができるんだ！というお話でした。
Yeah, you can make such a delicious thing with the ingredients that you can get so easily here in the US. Isn't it great??
