I'm doing pretty well.
今日はもうずいぶん前に感じる6月末の出来事を書いていきたいと思います。
The end of June feels a long time ago already, but I want to write about it today.
6月末、ミネアポリスのダウンタウンでLGBTの祭典、プライドパレードがあったので初参加してきました。（LGBTっていうのは、レズビアン、ゲイ、バイセクシャル、トランスジェンダーの意味です。）
In the end of June, I went to downtown Minneapolis for the Pride Parade with Andy. That was my first attendance.
Hit-chan、もともとLGBTフレンドリーで、一度はプライドパレードに行ってみたいと思っていたんですが、今まで機会が無く行かずじまい。
I personally support LGBT and have wanted to see a Pride parade anywhere, but I just hadn't got an opportunity till this year.
個人的に、アメリカにも日本にもLGBTの家族や友人がいるのもあって、もうちょっとLGBTサポートの意思を積極的に出していきたいなぁと思っていたんですねぇ。
I have LGBT family and friends both in the US and Japan, so I felt like showing my willingness to support them a little bit more proactively.

パレード開始の1時間くらい前にダウンタウンに到着。
We got there about 1 hour before the parade would begin.
事前にネットで調べたら、このレストランの前に飲み物と軽食込みの指定席があったので購入。
I actually booked tickets for reserved seats including 2 drinks and a breakfast sandwich in front of this restaurant.
何せ初参加なので、勝手が分からないのでゆっくり座って観られる席が確保されている方が良いなぁと思ったのです。
It was the first time for both Andy and me and we didn't have any idea how busy it's going to be like, so we thought it'll be nice to have our seats reserved.
パレードまで時間があったので、そのレストランで一杯。
We had some time to the parade, so got a drink inside the restaurant.
Andyっちはブラッディメアリー
Andy got Bloody Mary.
Hit-chanはコーヒーとベイリーズ
I got Coffee&Bailey's.
こちらが指定席。専用のトイレもあって便利でした。
These are the reserved seats and there was a portable restroom just for us, so it was pretty nice.
パレードの前に5キロマラソン大会があったようで、選手が走って来ました。仮装している人もチラチラ。
Before the parade, there was a 5K marathon race or somthing and we could see the runners. Some of them were in nice costumes too.
軽食がこちらのブレックファストサンドイッチ。ポテトが可愛かった。
This is the breakfast sandwich included in the tickets. The fries were so cute!

こちらのディーバが実況中継してくれました。
This gorgeous Diva was giving us a nice live commentary.
で、やっとパレードが始まったと思ったのですが。。。
Finally, the parade began!! but...
この最初の団体が信号の所に止まって中々前に進みません。
Black Lives Matter group took the head of the parade and protested. They stood still at one of the traffic lights and interrupted the parade so long.
Hit-chan、初めて参加だったので状況が呑み込めず、「あれ、パレードって普通歩くよねぇ。」と不思議に思っていたのですが、後で怪人さんのブログを読んでBlack Lives Matterという団体がパレードを妨害していたんだと知りました。
Again, this was my first time, so I wasn't sure what was going on and wondered "Isn't a parade that people usually just keep on walking, not stand still that long?" A couple of days after, I read my friend's blog and got to know that Black Lives Matter group was complately blocking the parade stop for a long time to protest.
ほんま、百歩譲って、パレードをジャックするのは別に良いけど、道に居座ってパレードを長々と止めてしまうのはお願いやしやめて欲しいわ。
I personally don't mind them just hopping in the parade and say whatever they want to say, but I really don't like that they sat on the road and posponed the parade over an hour.
この日は特に6月のミネソタにしては肌寒くって、待ってるのも辛かったのよ。
It was kind of chilly that day and I was freezy just to wait for them to get up and start moving again.
で、やっとパレードスタート。（当日は、Black Lives Matterの人たちもパレードの一部と思ってましたけどね。）
Okay, finally the real parade started! (At the point of that day, I was still thinking that Black Lives Matter was a part of the parade though.)
Hit-chanが個人的に好きだった、Dykes On Bikes（ダイクス オン バイクス） Dykeっていうのは、レズビアンの事で、格好良いお姉さんがバイクに乗ってブイブイ言わしてました。
One of my favorates on the parade was this. Dykes on Bikes! They're so cool!

Both of MN Senators support LGBT which I think it's great. MN is located in Midwest, but pretty liberal.

Since Black Lives Matter paused the parade for a long time and it's chilly out, we left downtown before the parade ended.
今回初めてのプライドパレード見物でしたが、とっても楽しかったです。
It was my first Pride parade and I really had fun with it.
来年も行きたいと思います。
I'd love to attend it next year again.
