先日、カリフォルニアに住むさっちゃんから日本食と素敵なカードのプレゼントが届きました。
The other day, I got a sweet present from my sweet friend, Satchan, in CA.
本当、CAとミネソタでは手に入る日本食の種類も違うので本当に嬉しい！
Seriously, they have many different kinds of Japanese product in CA, so I'm so excited for the great gift.
10月に2人目を出産予定のさっちゃん。
Satchan is having her second child in October.
家族のヘルプを受けるのがなかなか難しい状況で、2人の子育てをするようになるさっちゃん。
Her family lives in Japan, so she's going to have to raise 2 kids without her family support close.
同じアメリカにいても、カリフォルニアとミネソタだとすぐにお手伝いに行く事もできないんですが、何とかエールだけは頑張って送りたいと思ってます。
I live in the US, but it's kind of too far to fly to CA to help her from MN. Still, I want to keep trying to send her my love and positive energy for sure.
さっちゃん、無理せずに、マイペースでね！！！

さて、話は変わり、先日、また友達を招いてBBQをしました。
Okay, today, I want to talk about the BBQ night we had the other day.
お馴染みになってきたレイチェル（右）と初登場のフランキー（左）です。２人ともカリブー仲間です。
Rachel(right) and a newcomer, Franki(left). Both are my Caribou friends.
お願いしたら、我が家のグリルマン、出動してくれました。ありがと～！
My grill man did me a favor and showed up!
レイチェルはライスサラダを持ってきてくれました。
Rachel's rice salad.
フランキーはフルーツとグアカモレを持ってきてくれました。
Franki brought some fresh fruit and homemade guacamole.
まずはズッキーニとトウモロコシをグリル。
We started from zucchini and corn.
焼き鳥風に、鶏肉を串に刺して。ただ、日本の焼き鳥よりも数倍大きいよ。
Like Japanese Yakitori, we put the chicken pieces on skewers. Though, they are a few times as big as Japanese Yakitori.
Hit-chanは焼き鳥ソースを作ったり、レイチェルもフランキーも６月生まれだったので。。。
I also made Yakitori sauce and this because both Rachel and Franki had their birthdays in June.
ケーキも作成。見た目はアレですけど、リンゴンベリー＆コニャックソースと生クリームのケーキでシンプルだけどめちゃ旨なんですよ。スポンジ部分もちゃんと手作りしました。
Yes, I made a cake. It's made with fresh whipped cream and Lingonberry sauce which is lingonberry jam and cognac. It doesn't look that beautiful, but tastes pretty good. I made the sponge cake from scratch too.
メイク・ア・ウィッシュ！

シンプルに味付けしたズッキーニもHit-chan焼き鳥ソースも大人気で、皆お腹いっぱい楽しみました。
We all loved the grilled zucchinis and my Yakitori sauce so much and enjoyed the dinner till we got completely full.
美味しい食事の後は、皆でポーカーをする事に。。。
After the delicious dinner, we played poker.
いやぁ、久しぶりにポーカーしたんで、めっちゃ面白かった。
It'd been a while since I played the last time, so it was super fun.
フランキーに
Franki told me,
「Hit-chanを見てるのがめっちゃ面白い。カード見て一喜一憂するし、全然ポーカーフェイスじゃないやん。」
"It's so fun to watch Hit'chan's play because your face changes so often unlike a typical poker face."
って言われましたけど、Hit-chan
So, I said
「私のポーカーフェイスはコロコロ変わるバージョンやねん。笑ってるからって良いカード持ってるとは限らんで～。」
"My poker face is an active poker face. Even if I smile, you never know if I have a good hand or not!"
って言い返しておきました。
Hehe.
最終的には、今回初めてポーカーをしたレイチェルが勝利を収めました。
It's the first time for Rachel to play poker, but she won in the end.
とってもシンプルな時間の過ごし方ですが、めちゃくちゃ素敵な時間になりました。
It's a really low-key, but so fun and wonderful time.
素敵な旦那さん、素敵なお友達を持って、Hit-chanは幸せ者です。
I'm so lucky to have such a sweet hubby and nice friends.
