さて、今日もまだ夏頃のネタですが、8月最後の日、Hit-chanとめいが日本に行く3日前のこの日、Andyっちが髪を切りたいとの事だったので、例の如く、お友達のミカちゃんに切ってもらいに行きました。
Okay, I've been still writing my summer diaries, and this is about a fun summer day again. It was the last day of August which was 3 days before May-chan and I left for Japan. On the day, Andy wanted to get a haircut, so we went to the salon where my friend, Mika-chan, worked.
AndyっちもHit-chanも、7月に切ってもらったんですが、Andyっちはこの頃出張が控えていて、「その前に髪を切ってスッキリしたい！」と言っていたので、またミカちゃんにお願いすることにしました。
We both got a haircut in July which was about 2 months before, but Andy had another business trip on the next week or so and was saying, "I wanna cut my hair before the trip!" So, I made an appointment with Mika-chan.
そうそう、ミカちゃん、前回のカットの後に新しいお店に転職？しました。前よりもファンシーなお店になったよ。（バリバリキャリアアップしてる姿に尊敬！）
Maybe I hadn't mentioned this here yet, but Mika-chan actually got a position at a different salon after the last visit in July. Her new salon is fancier than the old one. (I have much respect in her working so hard and accomplishing her career goals.)

ご覧の通り、2か月前に切ってもらってそんなに伸びてなかったのですが、チョキチョキっと全体的に短くしてもらいました。
As you can see in the before pictures above, Andy's hair wasn't that long or messy, so he asked Mika-chan to trim overall.
「あんまり髪切ってるところの写真ないんじゃないかなぁ？」とこのショットを撮りました。格好良いねぇ。
I said, "I guess you don't have many pics of when you're working." and took this one. A person working hard always looks cool and beautiful.
Andyっちが切ってもらっている間、めいとHit-chanは隣でこんな風に見てました。
While Andy's getting his haircut, May-chan and I were just watching it at the side like this.
で、20分くらいかな？で完成。
In 20 mins or so, the cut was done!
スッキリ～。

最後はいつもと同じようにめいとも記念撮影。
At last, I took a pic of Mika-chan and May-chan together as always.
ミカちゃん、実はHit-chanと同い年なんですけど、彼女はミネソタに来てから美容師の勉強をして資格を取って、今回こうやって新しいお店に移って毎日バリバリ働いていて、本当に尊敬できる存在なんです。
Mika-chan is actually the same age as me and studied hard and got a hair stylist license after she moved here. So, I already said this above but have much respect in her who works very hard all the time and accomplishes her goals one by one.
いつも明るくて楽しいし、前向きな姿で周りの人たちの気持ちも明るくしてくれる姿に、毎度会うたびに良いインスピレーションをもらえて、「私も頑張ろう！」と思わせてくれます。
She's always such a happy and cheerful person and makes people around her feel bright too. So, I get inspired and motivated by her every time I see her. Thank you, Mika-chan!
で、そんなミカちゃんに元気をもらった後は。。。
Anyways, after the fun haircut, we stopped by...
Washington Square（Andyっちが若い頃によく行ってたバーレストラン）
Washington Square (Andy used to come to this place when he was young.)
ドリンクだけを飲みに入ったんですが、この人が愚図ったので、20分くらいで退散。でも、このレストランで働いているお友達に挨拶できたから良かったよ。
We just went there for a drink, but this lil person got a little bit fussy, so we left there in 20 mins or so. (We still could say hi to a couple of our friends working at the restaurant.)
その後は酒屋さん。
And then, we swang by this liquor store.
ここでは、日本の父へのお土産にビールを購入。
At this store, we got a couple of beer for my dad in Japan.
日本の父はお酒＆ビールが大好きなんですが、Hit-chanはお酒をほとんど飲まないので、ビール好きのAndyっちに良さそうなのを選んでもらいました。
（後の旅行記で書くかもしれませんが、父は「美味しい！」と言って、お土産のビールを飲んでくれました。）
My dad is actually a huge fan of Sake and beer, but I'm not a drinker and don't know much about it so asked Andy, another beer lover, to pick up something nice for my dad.
(I'm going to write this in Japan diaries sometime soon, but my dad really liked the one that we got for him.)
という訳で、日本旅行に行く数日前のお話でした！！
