もう4月も下旬に入りましたが、今日もミネソタ少し雪がちらついています。
It's already late April, but snowing today again.
さて、今日はお休みで朝からパジャマ姿でのんびりしていたら、郵便のお兄さんが家のドアを叩きました。
So, I had a day off today and when I was being lazy in my pajamas this morning, a mailman knocked the front door.
ボサボサ頭でパジャマ姿だったので、出るかどうしようか躊躇しましたが、数日前に妹のスイッチスカッチがDVDを送ってくれたと聞いていたので、羞恥心を押し殺してドアを開けました。（笑）
My ugly hair and pajamas made me hesitate to open the door, but I heard that my twins shipped DVDs to me some days ago, so I decided to hold my sense of shame back and grabbed the door handle. Haha.
で、頑張って出た甲斐あって、予想通りにスイッチスカッチからのDVDを受け取る事ができました。
Thanks to my little effort, I could receive the DVDs from my twins as I expected.
でね、今日受け取った贈り物はこれだけでなく、郵便のお兄さんから受け取った郵便物の中にとっても嬉しいお知らせがありました。
Anyways, besides the warm gift from my sisters, there was a happy surprise in the mail I handed from the mailman.
それは、昨年9月に申請した、グリーンカードの更新手続きについてのお知らせで、今回の更新申請が許可され、新しいグリーンカードが60日以内に郵便で送られてくるとの事でした。
It was a letter from Immigration office and said that they approved my green card renewal and will send my new green card within 60 days.
めちゃくちゃ嬉しくなって、早速仕事中のAndyっちに電話しました。
That made me super excited and I called Andy at work right away.
毎回の事ながら、ほとんど連絡のないまま待っているだけの時間が異様に長いビザ関係の手続きで、今回もバイオメトリクス（指紋＆写真撮影）を終えた後から何の音沙汰もなく、9月から4月の今まで7か月待っておりました。
It always takes forever to go through the process of getting visa and we had to wait for 7 months without any information since September when I went to take a picture of my face and scan my finger prints at the office.
なので、首を長ーくして待っていたAndyっちも、この嬉しいニュースには大喜びしてくれました。
So, Andy got super excited to hear this happy news because he's been worried about it as well.
近々新しいグリーンカードを受け取るのがめちゃくちゃ楽しみでございます。
I can't wait to get my new green card soon!
という訳で、Hit-chanこれで胸を張ってあと10年間はアメリカに合法滞在する事ができますよ。
Anyways, I can legally live here for next 10 years for sure.
まぁそんな訳で、相変わらず寒いですが、暖かい贈り物2つに幸せなHit-chanでした。今日はこの辺で！！！
