Hit-chanは相変わらず、毎日カリブーで元気に働いております。
I'm enjoying working at Caribou everyday as always.
さて、今月の4日、8月4日はAndyっちのパパ、Rayの還暦の誕生日でした。
So, the 4th of August was Andy't dad, Ray's 60th birthday.
という事で、家族ディナーに行きました。
So, we had a family dinner.
ミネアポリスにある、老舗のステーキレストラン、Murray'sというところです。
We went to this classic steak restaurant, Murray's in Minneapolis.
老舗という事で、ちょっとおしゃれをしていきましょうとの事で、Hit-chan、久しぶりにスカートをはきました。(笑)
It's a classic restaurant and I heard that we should be dressed well, so I wore a skirt after a long time.
いやぁ、このパンから、美味しかったですよ～。
These breads were so good.
ブラッド君のアスパラガスのスープ。
Brad got asparagus soup.
シーザーサラダ。
Mary's Caesar salad.
Hit-chanとRayはフレンチオニオンスープ。
Me and Ray got french onion soup.
Andyっちはグラタン。
Andy had potato gratin.
ブラッド君のニョッキ。
Brad's main dish, gnocchi.
付け合わせのマッシュポテト。日本のライスぐらいの量ありました。
The side mashed potate was as much as rice served at a restaurant in Japan.
付け合わせのマッシュルーム。
The side mushrooms.
そして、メインのステーキ。
The main is of course, steak.
そして、デザートにミントアイスのお酒、グラスホッパー。
The boys got grasshopper as the dessert.
いやぁ、久しぶりにちゃんとしたレストランで食事をしましたが、やっぱり老舗だけあって味も雰囲気も良かったですねぇ。
It'd been a while since I had a dinner at a classic restaurant like that, but the taste and atmosphere were so decent.

食事の後は、パパママの家に行きました。
After the wonderful dinner, we stopped by Ray and Mary's house.
ゴルフ好きのパパの為にママが用意したケーキ。
Mary got this golf cake for Ray.
まずは皆からのカードを読んで。。。
First, Ray read some birthday cards from his family.
プレゼントオープン。
And he opened the presents.
ママからはコメディのDVD、ブラッド君とHit-chan達でコーヒーメーカー、あと、Hit-chanは還暦祝いで何か赤いものを贈りたかったので、赤と青のサッカーボールを贈りました。
Mary sent him comedy DVDs and Brad and we got a Keurig coffee maker. Actually, I really wanted him something red because it's a Japanese tradition about celebrating 60th birthday, so Andy and I got red and blue soccer balls for that.
何故にサッカーボール？と思うでしょうが、フットゴルフというサッカーボールを使ったゴルフ？というスポーツで使うらしいです。
Why soccer balls? Yeah, Mary told us that they like playing "Foot Golf" which is like golf with a soccer ball, and that's why.
体に気を付けて、これからも楽しい時間を過ごしていってほしいです。
Anyways, please stay healthy and do more fun things!!
という訳で、パパ、お誕生日おめでとう！！！！
