さて、今日は私達夫婦の4回目の体外受精治療の記録、The Fifth Stepシリーズです。
So, let me talk about our 4th IVF treatment here again.
今回のサイクルのスケジュールはこんな感じで進められていきました。
Our schedule in the cycle was like this below.
9月26日 ピルの服用を止める（5月5日から飲んでいました。）
Sep. 26th Stopped taking birth control pills. (I started from May 5th.)
9月30日 2つの薬を自己注射で投薬開始
Sep. 30th Started taking 2 kinds of shots.
Menopur （メノピュア（製品名）／黄体形成ホルモンと卵胞刺激ホルモンのお薬で卵を発育させる効果がある。）
Gonal-f（ゴナールエフ（製品名）／卵胞刺激ホルモンのお薬で、こちらも卵を発育させる効果がある。）

10月4日 卵胞の発育の経過を見るエコー＆血液検査
Oct. 4th Ultrasound to check follicles & Lab test
10月4日 9月30日に自己注射を始めた薬に加えて、セトロタイド（Cetrotide）という薬の自己注射開始
Oct. 4th Started taking Centrotide in addition to the other 2 kinds of shots.
10月6日 卵胞の発育の経過を見るエコー＆血液検査
Oct. 6th Ultrasound to check follicles & Lab test
10月9日 卵胞の発育の経過を見るエコー＆血液検査
Oct. 9th Ultrasound to check follicles & Lab test
10月10日 トリガー注射
Oct. 10th Trigger shots
10月11日 トリガー注射が効いているか確認の採血
Oct. 11th Blood Test to see if the trigger shots were working
10月12日 採卵
Oct. 12th Egg Retrieval
10月13日 受精結果判明
Oct. 13th The result of fertilization
10月18日 発育状況報告
Oct. 18th The Egg report
10月29日 着床前診断結果判明
Oct.29th The result of PGT-A
で、今日は前回のサイクルでは残念な結果になった、着床前診断の結果を書いていきたいと思います。
In the last cycle, we did a PGT-A test (Preimplantational Genetic Test for the detection of Aneuploidy) with the only egg retrieved and received a bad result saying that the egg was abnormal and not recommended for a transfer.
今回のサイクルでも前回同様、受精卵1個だけが無事胚盤胞まで育ってくれ、着床前診断をする為にそのサンプルがラボまで送られました。
Just as the last cycle, only one of the eggs retrieved survived until Day 5 and the sample was sent to a lab for PGT-A test again.
前回の経験があるだけに、Andyっちと一緒に着床前診断の結果が出るのをドキドキしながら待っていました。
Andy and I went through the sad result in the last cycle, so we're a little nervous while waiting for the result.
10月18日に「1個だけ胚盤胞まで育ち、サンプルをラボに送る。」という連絡を受けたのですが、その結果は約10日間から2週間ほどでオンライン上で届けられる予定でした。
On Oct. 18th, they told us that only 1 egg survived and was sent to a lab, and it's supposed to take 10 days to 2weeks to get the result back online.
そして、そろそろかなという頃に何度かオンラインをチェックした後、10月29日にチェックした時に結果が届いているのを見つけました。
After I checked my online account for the result a couple of times, I found that it's there on Oct. 29th.
やはり、この結果次第で移植に進めるかどうかが決まるので、Andyっちと一緒に確認する事にしました。
The result was crucial to decide if we'd go forward or not, so Andy and I checked it together.
ドキドキドキドキ。。。。
My heart was beating.
「オッケー、準備良い？」
"Okay, are you ready??"
「うん。」
"Yup"
「おー！！！！ノーマルやって！！！男の子や！！！」
"Oh! It says "Normal" and it's a boy!!!"
と2人で歓喜！！
We were super excited!!
やはり、前回はここで躓いたので、今回、大きな関門を無事通過してホッとした気持ちも大きかったです。
We couldn't go forward at the step in the last cycle, so it was a big relief that we could pass the very important bar this time.
と、こんな感じで4回目の体外受精治療、無事、移植に進む事ができたのでした。
Like this, we thankfully could reach the transfer phase in our 4th IVF treatment.
