今日は、Hit-chanのおっちょこちょい＆ラッキーなお話。。。
I'd like to share my goofy and lucky story today.
実は我が家では、Andyっちの発案で、11月から浪費しがちだった食費を現金で支払うようにして、無駄遣いを減らそうという事になったんですね。
Since the last month, we started using cash for grocery shopping since we tend to get over food budget, which Andy came up with.
で、小さいガマ口のお財布にAndyっちからもらった1か月分の食費を入れて、買物をしてたんです。
So, I put all the cash for the month in my little wallet and brought it with me when shopping.
で、何日か後、お財布の中身を調べてみると、明らかに使った額より100ドル程少ない！！！
And after some days, I checked in my wallet and found $100 shorter than I thought!
色々な場所を探してみたけど無いので、「あれ、Andyっち、言ってた額より、間違えて100ドル少なく渡したんじゃねぇ？」とAndyっちを疑ってみたりしたけど、Andyっちに聞くと。。。
I looked through all the places that I could think of, but I couldn't find it, so I was starting to doubt Andy like "Did he really give me the amount for sure? He might have counted it wrong."
「いや、僕は、ATMから決めた額をおろしてきて、ちゃんとHit-chanに渡したよ。」との事。。。
So, I asked him, but he goes "I'm sure I got the amount at ATM and counted it. And I handed it to you for sure."
何度考えても、探しても、出てこないものは出てこない、もう失くした100ドルは諦める事にしました。
Even though I thought about it and looked for it over and over, there's no $100 anywhere else. So, I decided to give it up.
で、次の日、仕事場でキャットに、
Next day, I wanted to share the story with my friend, Kat to make it a laugh.
「あのさぁ、今月から、食費は現金で支払う事にしてんけどさぁ、100ドル失くしてしまってん～。」
"I'm using cash for grocery from this month, but I already lost $100!!"
と自分のおっちょこちょい話を披露したら、キャットが目の色を変えて
Then, Kat seemed so surprised and asked me
「え、その100ドルって、小さく4つ折りになってた？？」
"Was that $100 bill folded in half and folded in half again?""
と逆に質問されました。
キャットの言う通り、Hit-chanの失くした100ドル、小さなガマ口に入れる為に小さく折りたたんでいたんです。
Exactly, like Kat described, my $100 bill was folded in quarter so that it fits my small wallet.
しかも、食費を現金で払うようになってすぐくらいに、職場で買い物をして、ガマ口から現金を出し入れしてたんですよ～！
And yes, I was taking some bills from my wallet to pay for something at work some days before.
キャット曰く、その日働いていたシェリルがその100ドル札がレジの下に落ちているのを見つけてくれたんです。
Kat said, our co-worker, Cheryl found the $100 bill on the floor that day.
キャットも、お店のお金かどうか調べてくれて、どう計算しても売り上げのお金じゃないので、しばらく金庫で保管していてくれてたらしいんです。
After that, Kat counted through all the money at our store and figured out that it's not the store money, so she put aside the money in the safe for a while.
で、ラッキーな事に、失くした100ドル、優しい同僚のお蔭で、Hit-chanの手の中に戻ってまいりました。（涙）
So, very luckily, I got my missing $100 back in my hands thanks to my kind co-workers!
そんなこんなで、まず、愛する夫を疑った事、そして大金を失くすという自分のおっちょこちょい加減に反省し、またそれを取り戻すことができたという自分のラッキー加減に感謝したお話でした。
After everything's done, I really feel sorry that I had a slight doubt in my loving husband and I was so careless to lose such a big money. Also, I really feel so lucky that I could get the money back in the end.
という訳で、Hit-chanのおっちょこちょい＆ラッキーなお話でした。
