How are you doing today?
テニスの錦織圭選手、日本人初のグランドスラム優勝に向けて、残るは決勝のみになりましたね。
So, the tennis player, Kei Nishikori, finally and amazingly reaches U.S. open final as the first Japanese player to ever do so.
日本人ってだけが唯一の共通点ですが、こうやって日本人の方が世界で活躍されているのを拝見すると、やはり誇らしいし、自分も頑張ろうと思える良い刺激がもらえます。
Our nationalities are the only thing we share, but this news makes me feel so proud as a Japanese person and gives me a lot of inspirations to work harder on my dreams.
さて、今日でステイトフェア、最後でございます。
Okay, this is the last article about the state fair.
おじいちゃんのお店で素敵なボウルを買った後。。。
After we purchased the nice bowl at the store,
行こうと思っていた場所に向かう途中、パレードに引っかかって道が渡れなくなっちゃいました。
we ran into the parade and couldn't walk across the street that we wanted to.
という事で、この際だから、パレードを見て楽しみましょうとなりました。
So, we decided to sit down there and enjoy the parade.
片手には食べてみたかったポップコーンシュリンプ。
In my hand, popcorn shrimp that I wanted to try.
で、パレード開始。
The parade starts.
フェアの公式マスコット。
The official state fair mascot.
たくさんの高校のマーチングバンドが参加していました。（生演奏と若い子の一生懸命さは感動でした。）
Many high school marching bands played there. (I'm so moved by the live music and their commitment as the band member.)
最初の巨大牛。この後、３、４頭の巨大牛が通りました。
The first giant cow. After this, we saw a few of other giant cows.
Hit-chanのトレードマーク？スマイリーの車。
My characteristic icon? It's a smiley car.
さりげなく、ゲイプライドのレインボーも貼ってありました。
It had the gay pride symbol, rainbow on the back too.
ステーキ好きなAndyっちにピッタリ、ビーフエキスポの宣伝カー。これも巨大牛でしたね。
Andy loves steak, so it's a perfect expo for him, a beef expo.
で、パレードを見た後は、ブラッド君とレイ＆メアリーと合流して、まだお腹の減っていたレイとAndyっちはステーキサンドイッチにトライ。
After we watched the parade, we gathered with Brad and Ray&Mary again and went to a steak sandwich place for Andy and Ray who still had room in the stomachs.
まぁまぁ美味しかったそうです。
They said it's good.
最後に、思い出の一枚。
At last, here's another family photo.
初めて一緒に行ったステイトフェア。
This is the first time for me to be in the fair with everybody.
で、帰り道は混むだろうと、フェアグランドを出てからちょっとセントポールのバーで時間を潰してから帰りました。
Andy assumed that the traffic would be terrible on the way back home, so we killed some time at a bar in St.Paul and went back home.
今年は忘れず万歩計をつけたところ、8197歩という結果に。
We remember to have a pedometer this time and found out that we took 8197 steps in a day.
Hit-chanは何気に荷物が多かったのでAndyっちにつけてもらいましたが、歩幅の狭いHit-chanだったらもうちょっといってたでしょうなぁ。
I carried the backpack, so Andy had the pedometer on his belt, so it would be more steps if I had it.
という訳で、長々と4日続きましたが、今日でステイトフェア特集は終わります。
Anyways, I'm finishing the state fair day here today.
