今日のミネソタ、雪が地面に残っていますが、空には青空が広がっています。
Here in MN, some snow remains on the roads, but the sky is really blue.
家の中からの景色でも、外が明るいとやっぱり気持ちが良いですねぇ。
Even if it's a view from inside of the house, it's really nice to see outside bright.
で、今日はですねぇ、朝から料理をしております。
Today, I've been cooking since the morning.
晩御飯用にチキンカレーを、そして、いつでも食べられるよう、冷凍用に餃子を作りました。
I made chicken curry for tonight's dinner and pot stickers to freeze for anytime we want to eat.
で、今回は買ってきた餃子の皮を使って、ネットで調べた餡のレシピを初めて試してみたんですが、味見してみたらこれがめちゃくちゃ美味しくてですね、この先の定番に決定です。
I bought pot stickers skins at a grocery store and tried a new recipe that I found online this time, and it turned out so delicious. So, I'm going to use this recipe again for sure!
で、美味しいものと言えば、おうちごはんも美味しいですが、昨日久しぶりにAndyっちと外食に行ってきました。
Speaking of delicious foods, Andy and I went out to have dinner last night after a while.
今回、別に予定していた訳でなく、昨日、いつものようにカリブーで働いていたら、上がりの4時ちょっと前にAndyっちが仕事帰りにふらっと立ち寄ってくれました。
Actually, we didn't particularly plan the dinner yesterday, but Andy stopped at the Caribou on the way from work when my shift's done before 4:00.
で、その流れで「明日は二人とも休みやし、今日は外で食べる？」という事になりました。
So, we went like "We both are off tomorrow, so do we eat out today?"
今回行ったのは、家のすぐ近くにあるAl&Alma's
です。
We went to a restaurant "Al&Alma's" which's located so close to our house.
昨年の夏には、このレストランのサンセットクルーズに行きました。
Last summer, we joined this restaurant's sunset cruise.
Andyっちとバラ。（笑）
Andy and a rose. Hehe.
Hit-chanとパン。（笑）
Hit-chan and bread. Hehe.
で、Hit-chan達が食べたのは。。。
And, we ate...
前菜にケジャンシュリンプ。
Cajun Shrimp as an appetizer.
これ、Hit-chanの好物、Andyっちが家で作ってくれるシュリンプとほぼ一緒の味で、Andyっちと「Andyっちのシュリンプと同じ味やなぁ～。」って言って食べました。もちろん、美味しかったですよ。
This dish was really similar to what Andy usually makes for me, so we ate it as saying "This shrimp is like your shrimp!"
Andyっちはビーフサンドイッチ。
Andy's beef sandwich.
Hit-chanは久しぶりにウォールアイサンドイッチを食べました。
Hit-chan's walleye sandwich.
いやぁ、家から車で3分の所にあるのに全然利用してなかったんですけど、お値段も手頃だしお料理も結構美味しいし、大満足でした。
Well, we didn't come to the restaurant so often even though it's 3minute away from our house, but we're really satisfied with the reasonable price and delicious foods.
やっぱり、普段の生活の中で、たまにでも、ほんのささやかな非日常があると気分転換にもなって良いですね
Anyways, it's really good to have a little bit of extraordinary time in ordinary days.
これからも、平凡な毎日にちょっとマンネリ気味になってきたら、ちょくちょく利用したいなぁって思います。
I feel like using this restaurant again when I get bored of usual daily life.
