我が家にトースターが来たよ。(We finally got a toaster oven!)

皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How are you doing?





日本では大雪の被害が結構出ているみたいですが、こちらも今年は結構雪が多いように思います。
I heard that you've got extraordinary amount of snow over there in Jaoan, but we've got more snow than usual here in MN as well.






これ、我が家の庭ですが、凄い量の雪が積もっております。
（それでも、我が家のグリルマン、Andyっちはステーキ一枚の為に、雪をかき、ステーキをグリルで焼いてました。笑)
This is our back yard and there's tons of snow there.
(Even in this situation, my grill man, Andy shoveled around the grill just for one slice of stake last night. Haha)





乗ってない車を庭に置いてるんですが、もう雪に埋もれてしまってます。
We have another car we haven't used in the back yard and it's half buried in the snow.




早く春が来てくれる事を祈る毎日でございます。
I wish that spring will come sooner everyday.




さて、何週間か前に、友達のキャットとランチ＆ショッピングに出かけました。
So, some weeks ago, I hung out with my friend, Kat for shopping.




仕事終わりに近くのモール横のレストランで落ち合って、ランチ。
After work, I met her at a restaurat near Ridgedale mall and we had a lunch together.

















この時はめっちゃお腹が減っていたので、神戸ビーフのハンバーガー。
I was starving that day, so I ordered Kobe beef Hamburger.





キャットはサンドイッチ。
Kat had a sandwich.




楽しくおしゃべりした後は、モールでショッピング。
We enjoyed chatting there and headed to the mall for shopping.





キャットとのショッピングはいつも、気楽で、何を見るでもないんですが、色々おしゃべりして歩くのが楽しいんですねぇ。
Shopping with her is always easy and fun and even when we don't have anything particular to buy, it's just enjoyable for me to walk around as talking to her.





適当に色々見ながら、Hit-chanはお目当ての品が一つだけあったのでキッチン用品の場所へ。
I actually had something on my shopping list, so we went to the kitchen section.




で、これを手に入れました。
And..., I got this.












そう、オーブントースター。
Yup, it's a toaster oven.





今まで何度か「めっちゃ欲しい！」と思うタイミングはあったんですが、何故か今まで持ってなかったんですねぇ。
I've actually had some moments which I strongly felt "I want a toaster oven!!!", but I ended up not getting one after all.




今まで、トースターを持ってなかったので、パンを焼いて食べたいと思っても、パン一切れの為に大きなオーブンをいちいち温めるのも大層なので、アメリカに来てからトーストをほとんど食べていませんでした。
We didn't have a toaster oven before, so even when I felt like eating toasted bread, I just gave it up because it's so tiring to heat up a big oven just for a slice of toast anyways.




で、つい最近、Hit-chanの中で、「トースターがめっちゃ欲しい！！」ブームが再び起こりまして、Andyっちも「買ったら良いよ。」と言ってくれたので、遂にトースターを手に入れる事になったんですねぇ。
Some weeks ago, I got the feeling "I want a toaster oven a lot!!" again and Andy also said "You can buy one", so I finally decided to buy one.




しかも、AndyっちがMacy'sのクーポンをチェックしてくれていたので、確か５０ドルくらいのが２０ドルで超お買い得でしたよ。
Thankfrully, Andy kept a Macy's coupon for me so that I could get the $50 toaster oven just for $20.



でね、Hit-chan、トースターが我が家に来てから、もう既に１５枚以上、トースト食べましたよ。(笑)
（こっちのパンはサンドイッチ用みたいに薄いので、３枚くらいペロッといけちゃいます。）
Since we got the toaster oven, I've already had more than 15slices of toast so far.
(Bread here is cut so thin for sandwich, so you can eat even 3 slices so easily.)




そんでもって面白い事に、トースターを買ってから、Andyっちも「僕、イングリッシュマフィン好きやったん、思い出したわ。」と、イングリッシュマフィンをせっせと焼いて、予想以上にトースターを愛用してくれております。
it's not only me who loves the toaster oven but also Andy loves it a lot. He said "I remember that I loved Enhslish muffin so much." and toasted a lot of English muffin so far too.




という訳で、手に入れたトースターを毎日愛用して、大満足のAndyっち＆Hit-chanでございます。
So, the new toaster oven drastically made our life so happy and delicious!

今更ながら、スーパーボウル2014(Belated Super Bowl 2014)

皆様、お元気ですか？
How are you doing?




Hit-chanは風邪も治ったので、元気にしております。
I'm totally recovered from the cold and doing so well.




さて、今日は今さら感満載ですが、2月の始めに行われた、アメリカンフットボールの優勝決定戦、スーパーボウルを楽しんだ様子をお送りしたいと思います。
Oh well, I know it's so lated, but I want to talk about how we enjoyed Super Bowl this year.




今回は、友達のキャットとAndyっちの弟、ブラッド君だけ招いて、静かな感じで観戦しました。
We just had my friend Kat and Andy's brother, Brad over our house and watched it in a low-key style.






この日、ようやく昨年買ったボトルオープナーを壁に取り付けました。
I finally installed this bottle opener which I purchased last year on the wall on that day.





祝・初開栓(笑)
The first opening ceremony. Haha.






で、キャットとAndyっちがそれぞれ、自慢のグワカモレを作ってくれました。
So, both Kat and Andy made us their guacamore.





これがキャットのん。
This is Kat's.




これがAndyっちのん。
This is Andy's.




驚く事に、二人のグワカモレの味、結構似ていて、どっちも美味しかったですよ。
Surprisingly, their guacamoles were so alike and both delicious of course.




Hit-chanは焼き飯と麻婆豆腐。ブラッド君の為にベジタリアン用もね。
I made some fried rice and Ma-po-tofu. I made vegitarian style for Brad too.




で、ちょうどご飯が完成した頃で、ゲーム開始。
Right on time when we finished cooking, the game started.


















結果はご存知の通り、シアトル・シーホークスが一方的な試合を運んでチャンピオンに。
As you already know, SeaHawks completely beat Broncos.




皆シーホークスを応援していたので、結果には満足。ただ、全然ドキドキハラハラしない試合だったので、ちょっと残念だったかな。
We all wanted SeaHawks win, so we liked the result. Still, it's not an exciting game at all, so it's a little bit boring overall.





でも、美味しいものを食べながら、親しい友達とだけでゆっくりスーパーボウルを観戦できたのは楽しかったです。
Anyways, it was really nice and fun for me to enjoy the game with all the delicious foods and the close friend and family.





来年はぜひ、Andyっちが応援している、グリーンベイパッカーズがチャンピオンになってくれると嬉しいな。
Hopefully, I want to see Green Bay Packers become the next champion because it's Andy's favorite team.




という訳で、遅ればせながら、今年のスーパーボウル観戦日記でした！

バレンタインデー2014(Valentine's Day 2014)

Hello!




皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How are you doing today?




新年の抱負、ブログの更新を増やすと言いながら、前回の更新からしばらく空いてしまいました。
I said that I was going to update my blog more often for my new year's resolution, but I haven't posted a new one a while again.




というのも、Hit-chan、しばらく風邪をひいておりまして、仕事柄休む訳にもいかず、仲間に助けてもらいながら、だましだまし働いておりました。
Here's the excuse. I actually got sick for a while, but I couldn't take a day off because it's hard for me to find someone to cover my shift with a short notice. Still, I could get some help from my co-workers and barely work fine.





で、ようやく全快だぜ！と言えるまでに回復したところでございます。
Finally, I can say I'm totally back to normal now.





今年のバレンタインデー、皆様、どんな日を過ごされたでしょうか？
By the way, how was your Valentine's day thie year?




AndyっちとHit-chanは今年も素敵な一日を過ごさせてもらいました。
Andy and I thankfully had a wonderful night this year again.





バレンタインデー当日、仕事から帰ったら、ソファの上にプレゼントが置いてありました。
On that day, I found a few presents on the couch when I got back home from work.





早速開けてみる事に。。。
I opened them right away.






まずはカード。Andyっちの手描きのイラストもあって、めっちゃ素敵なカードでした。
I first opened the card. Andy drew a very pretty picture of us and it was one of the cutiest cards I've had ever.





気温によって、着心地を調整してくれる上等なTシャツと、
He game a T-shirt which can adjust the temperature, moisture and the texture.





上等なジャージ。
A sweat shirt with the same function too.





ゴディバのチョコレートも！
He also gave me Godiva chocolate!!!





Hit-chanの好きなダークチョコレートのセットです。
He picked up my favorite, dark chocolete one.




Hit-chanからAndyっちには。。。
From me to him...






カード、Lindorチョコレート一杯、酒屋さんのギフトカード、そしてスクラッチ宝くじでした！
A card, a lot of Lindor chocolate, a gift card of his favorite liquor store and 2 scratch lotteries.




で、バレンタインデーは一年で一番レストランが混む日だという事で、早めの４時半に近くにできた新しいお寿司屋さん、SushiFixに行ってきました。
After we exchanged the presents, we headed to a Japanese restaurant around 4:30 because I heard that Valentine's day is the busiest day for restaurants.





バレンタインデーなので、贅沢に、好きなものを頼みました。
It's Valentine's and so special, so we ordered everything we wanted to eat.





焼き鳥。炭の風味がついていて、美味しかったです。
Yakitori for the appetizer. We loved the smokey flavor on it.





バレンタインデーロールってやつと、もう一つ忘れたけどロール。
They had a special roll called Valentine's day roll, so we had it and one more kind which I forgot the name.





あと、単品でうなぎ、さば。。。
Andy ordered ell and mackerel nigiri...





甘海老も！（未だに新しいカメラが使いこなせず、綺麗な写真が撮れません。汗）
I ordered sweet shrimp! (Sorry, I still don't know how to use my new camera well.)


















Hit-chan達が食事している間に、あっという間にテーブルは埋まってめちゃくちゃ忙しくなったので、できるだけ急いで席を立ちました。
While we're eating, the small restaurant got packed so quick and super busy, so we left as soon as we could.




その後は、家でDVDを見てゆっくり素敵な時間を過ごして終わりました。
After the nice dinner, we watched a movie at home and spent a calm and peaceful night toghether.




実は、バレンタインデーの週は、Andyっちは仕事で忙しく、Hit-chanは体調が悪く、二人ともイライラしていて、あまり良い時間を過ごせていませんでした。
To be honest, Andy and I had a really tough week before Valentine's day since Andy's been so busy working and I was sick.




でも、バレンタインデー前日に、久しぶりに落ち着いて二人で話ができて、お互いへの感謝や大切さを再確認する事ができました。
Even though, we could talk to each other in a good way so that we could remember how thankful and important we feel to each other again.




そういった機会をくれたバレンタインデーに、感謝、感謝でございました。
I really appreciate Valentine's day for giving us such a nice opportunity to remind us the most important thing.
