1968年3月16日ビルボードの週間ランキング１位を獲得した曲。1941年ジョージア州生まれのシンガソングライターオーティス・レディングOtis Redding,jrの曲で、1967年12月10日公演への移動中の自家用機墜落事故死の3日前に録音された。この曲に特に想い出はないが、ラジオから流れていたのを思い出す。
今聴いても古臭さを感じないし、いい曲は何年経っても彩があせない。朝日が射すころから夕日までドックに座って、出船入船を眺めて想いを思い浮かべる。
