ベン・Ｅ・キングほかで馴染みの曲。ベン・Ｅ・キングは、１９３８年９月２８日生まれ。「ラストダンスは私に」をヒットさせたドリフターズのリードシンガーだったが、１９６０年にソロに転向。１９６１年にこの曲をヒットさせた。
１９８６年公開のロブ・ライナー監督による「スタンド・バイ・ミー」も懐かしい名作。主役のリバーフェニックスは、もういない。「ウォーク・ザ・ライン」に出た弟のホアキン・フェニックスがいる。
