All Terrain Warriurs (ATW) Alpha Camper

　

　オーストラリアからアメリカに輸入されたのはトラックそれ自体ではなくて、そのノウハウと指向であった。ATW Alpha Camper はアメリカにおいてMitsubishi Fuso トラックをベースとして製作した本格的な４ｘ４キャンピングトラックである。

ALPHA CAMPER

The ATW ALPHA motor home conversion is built to suit a range of different 4WD truck cab chassis and is by no means “just another camper”. Over two years of development and testing has resulted in what we believe to be the benchmark in 4×4 truck expedition vehicles.

Created from the ground up utilizing years of local and international 4×4 experiences, the ALPHA is just as at home in the mountains of Colorado, the Canyons in Utah, the beaches in Mexico and the deserts in the Southwest.

When fully equipped with the ATW Single Wheel Conversion, the ATW Parabolic Suspension upgrades and the integrated steep entry/departure angle, the ALPHA is capable of negotiating many challenges you may come across on your journey through long distance desert crossings, endless corrugations and washed out roads. At the end of the traveling day you can enjoy all the comforts of home. Hot and cold running water, showers, toilets, comfortable beds, cooking facilities, entertainment systems are all available in your ALPHA.

Staying for a while? The ALPHA will continue to deliver hot showers, hot food and cold drinks for as long as you have access to sun, water and diesel.

　アプローチ、デパーチャーアングルを見ただけで、悪路やモーグルでの走破性を考慮したボディ形状である事が分る。この外観はパリダカのサポートカミオンそのもの。

 

　

　製作の細部はオーダーメードであるが、このモデルで２５万ドル（現在の為替で約３千万円）ですから、移動可能な家、或いはコンドミディアムを一軒買うという感覚でしょうか。アメリカでは新車のランドクルーザー２００が３台買える値段です。

 

　このテール部分のスペアタイヤキャリーが大きな特徴です。ウインチを使ってキャリアーの上げ下げを行う構造です。

 

The FG4X4 is a cab-over design powered by the DOHC 4P10 inline 3.0 liter 4-cylinder diesel. The 4P10 (which has a variable-geometry turbocharger) produces 295 lb-ft of torque (1,300 rpm) and 161 horsepower (3,400 rpm). It also meets strict U.S. and European emissions regulations. Overall, the FG4X4 is modern, lightweight, efficient, and has a GVWR of 14,050 pounds.

　エンジンは３リットル、直４シリンダーのターボディーゼルです。トラック界のライトウェイトエンジンと呼ばれているようです。

 

Super Single Wheel と呼びます。

 

キャビンです。７４ガロン（２８０リットル）の水を搭載する事が出来ます。

広さには限りがありますが、快適仕様です。

　世界中を旅行出来る様に、カーゴコンティナーに（おそらく40フィート）ぴったりと収まるサイズに設計されている所なども、いいなって思う。
