ガソリンの値段が高騰したまま維持しているクルマ社会の現実を見ると、大多数の人々のクルマに対する関心は “燃費の良さ” が優位になる。最近は技術的にこの燃費に対する課題を優位にしようと切磋琢磨の展開、そんな中で楽しげなクルマを見つけた。
1972年のスズキＬＪ20Ｖ４ｘ４。
左ハンドル。軽自動車は日本だけの存在かと思ったら、
７０年代の初期にはアメリカにも輸出されていたのですね。
この４０年前のスズキは２－３年前にフルレストレーションされました。
2気筒２ストロークの360ｃｃ。
最高スピード52マイル／H （約80キロ）
流石に．．．アメリカのフリーウェイでの実用はきつい。
ボディに張られた絵や文字は容易に剥す事が出来るそうです。
1972 Suzuki LJ20V Hardtop, only imported for a very few years in the early 70s. 360cc water cooled and oil injected 2 cylinder 2 stroke engine, 4 speed transmission, 2 speed transfer case, 4WD. Vehicle was restored 2-3 years ago and everything works and is in great shape. The only big flaw is a rock chip in the windshield on the driver side, see pictures for details. Oil pump is connected and works. Engine was rebuild with restoration, sounds great and tight. We have the vehicle stickered to advertise our shop but all the logos can come off. Top speed is around 52 mph but the gearing is so low that it could probably climb straight up a tree in low range.

１９７２年の当時はオイルショック前夜、
そして、原油の値段からみると、
２０１３年の今日は慢性的オイルショックの時代なのです。
まじ、軽自動車の時代なのです。
