Stage 3 Conversion, restoration,Created by Jonathan ward of TLC 4x4, Vannuys, CA, This FJ55 is the Marilyn Monroe of all Landruisers and perhaps the finest FJ55 in existance. In an effort to acheive mordern day drivabilty without giving up the old school values of the FJ55, we disassembled every nut and bolt and stripped it down to the bare frame choosing to stay stock in some areas while making engineering improvements in others. All parts are rebuilt. replaced ungraded or otherwise restored to new condition and reassembled onto a freshly powder coated frame and restored body. Completed in 2007 the project took 30 months with over $140K invested. List of some upgrades inlcude; 5.7L fuel injected vortec & L460E 4speeed automatic taken from a 99 chevy tahoe w/28K miles, Custom steering column, with A/T shift on column, nardi leather wrapped wheel, 19 spline tranter case from 86 FJ62, orginal front and rear differentials w/4.11 gears, 4 wheel disc brakes, Man-A-Fre leafs and shackles providing 4" lift, BF All Terrains LT295/75R, approx 33.75" tall by 9.5" wide mounted on Weld Racing Outback Alloys, Power Steering w/ Siginaw, close ratio steering box, Vitage Air HVAC system, fabricated dashboard and ventilation, w/fabricated knobs, (Same as TLC Icon) custom paint color latte' brown/creamy beige, body was sand blasted to bare metal and pwder coated as primer coat, linex bed liner on entire floor and under carrage including both sides of firewall, custom interior seating taken from a 02 honda prelude, reshaped and upholstred with same fabric used in TLC Icon, 250 watt 8 speaker Alpine w/Boston Accoustic Pros w/ 8" subs mounted in cargo panels. This Cruiser has accumilated 20,000 miles of trouble free weekend driving since resto in SF bayarea, never 4- wheeled and kept in Garage. Serious Inquiries only, no jerkoffs please.
