第2回東京マラソン、男子に新星誕生し大盛況のうちに終わりました。そんななか海外からのランナーが2363人とのこと、もう少したくさん走りに来て欲しいな～。
などと言うわたしは、ルーマニアのマラソン大会の宣伝！「日本人ノマラソン熱ハ凄イデスヨ～。」などとティミショアラ・マラソンの主催者(上の写真の方）とメールしていると、映像も送ってくださいました。YouTubeのティミショアラ・マラソン2007の映像はこちらから。
インタビュー最初の女性は、地元ティミショアラ市から５年連続参加のランナー、バンダ・シルビアさん。優勝経験はないものの、例年3位以内の成績を残しています。
インタビュー2番目の男性が言及している「シギショアラ-メディアシ・マラソン」は中世の趣を残すシギショアラからメディアシへのワンウェイ、ルーマニア陸連の主催で毎年5月に行われるマラソンです。

Summary in English:
We had 2,363 runners from overseas for Tokyo Marathon yesterday. In all, 32,426 runners had started then 31,702 finished, percentage of finishers was 97.8%, congratulations!
Over 12,000 volunteers helped them, over 5,000 guards for securities and 2,260,000 spectators were along the course. 480,000 bottles of water, 270,000 bottles of sports drink, 60,000 bananas and 400,000 grains of raisin were served during the race. Temporary restrooms were 960 all in marathon area. Thank you very much!
However it is the biggest marathon meeting in Japan, I’d like to introduce you Timisoara marathon in Romania, only one marathon competition authorized by AIMS. An upper photograph was taken with the president of organizers. He loves marathon very much and is kind enough to welcome runners from overseas.
