What else can we do other than go to the beach in such a sunny day? The beach is over there:-)
■Beach Day
I was thinking to bring some books there but changed my mind looking at the blue in the sky. Let’s FORGET about studies today. Beach is not a place to study, it's a place to be relaxed. I packed some fruit and drinks in a cooler and went to the beach with my friends.
The beach was not so packed and the view was awesome. I’ve seen lots of oceans in different countries at different times in my life, but I would say this is the best view. It is nice just to look at the sea line and imagine that there are European and African continents over the ocean. VA beach is not a best place for resort, but it gives me some special feelings. I don’t know exactly what kind of feelings they are, may be it's a sense of nostalgia, may be just homesick (really?), or may be a sense of accomplishment... I don't know. Some feelings are mixed up, but the view always makes me feel how far I've come. Japan is half a world away from here!
So, what did I do on the beach?
I was sitting on a reclining beach chair doing nothing, well, I was listening to the sounds from the ocean and wind (means I was sleeping :). The water was still cold. Some people were bathing, but most people were just lying and enjoying the sunshine like me. It was correct that I didn't bring books there. Lying on the beach, I really thought this is a wonderful place to be relaxed. "Doing nothing" is the key :-)
