It is 70 days since I broke my left ankle. Today I went to see my orthopedic surgeon and got my left ankle X-rayed as I did three weeks ago.
I was looking forward to seeing the doctor, because I fondly had imagined that I would completely recover. I was able to walk without the help of a stick. I was able to walk a longer distance. These facts made me think so.
The doctor said, "Well, x-ray shows that the bone does not fully set yet. Look at this crack. You'll have to be more careful. Um, almost the same as last time......" I said to the doctor, "Does it mean that I am too old to recover ? " He said, "Possibly." I was shocked a little.
On coming home, I did a search on the internet on fracture (kossetsu in Japanese). I found that the broken part of my bone was rather difficult to set. I knew that the fracture of this part would need at least three months to heal.
I have 20 more days left!! " Await with patience, karin!" I say to myself.
