Takedera in Oku-musashi (1)

2009-11-28 23:50:00 | ノンジャンル
Today I joined a day bus tour.

The bus was a medium-sized bus, much smaller one
than a usual sightseeing bus. Why? I wondered.

I knew why soon. The bus ran up a very narrow mountain path.
Takedera stood on the hill of 490 meters high.

First we visited the main place of Takedera, learned the history
of Takedera and prayed there.

Then we went to Ruri-den and had lunch, Shojin-ryori,
today's tour's highlight.

The autumn menu of Shojin-ryori was as follows:

★天麩羅 (モミジ・柿の葉・ヨモギ・サクラタンポポ・ヤマミツバ)
★フキノトウのつくだに
★お供物
★ワラビ
★栗の実
★かりんの甘露煮
★アケビ
★柚子の詰め物
★むかごごはん
★笹竹そば

After Takedera we visited Lake Naguri-ko and started
for Tokyo.

I enjoyed beautiful autumn colors to the full.

autumn weather

It stopped raining around nine in the morning.

I hurried to the bank to pay for the apartment.

The weather was improving as time went on.

"What a beautiful day!"I said to myself, looking up
at the sky.

Around half past four in the afternoon,
I saw the waxing moon, jogen-no-tsuki in the sky.

At six in the evening, it was already dark.
koharu's mother pointed her astronomical telescope
at the moon.

koharu, koharu's mother and I enjoyed watching the moon.

The view of the moon was surprisingly clear!
Craters on the moon were plainly visible!
Some were big, and others were deep.

After watching the moon,
we watched the largest planet Jupiter.

I was excited to see some moons which Jupiter has!

(at 10:37, this morning--on the way home from the bank)

(at 4:30, this afternoon, jogen-no-tsuki)

Amaryllis Annual Autumn Concert

koharu's parents are members of the band Amaryllis
and enjoy playing the saxophone.

According to koharu, her mother is a good player
and her father is such a wonderful player that he would
be accepted as a professional musician, if he wished.

Last evening koharu and I enjoyed their concert.
koharu's brother, high school student, didn't go with us
but with his friends.

koharu's parents are playing "Robert Burns Suite."

All the members are playing "Greensleeves."
